About the role
We are looking for a pro-active and committed Maintenance Operative to join our Lewisham Assessment and Recovery Centre. This service supports adults experiencing a range of complex needs including Mental health and Substance misuse.
We're looking to recruit an enthusiastic Maintenance Operative to join a team dedicated to providing clients with a safe environment in which to build their confidence, promoting opportunities for positive change and supporting their recovery journey.
In this role you will:
- Manage the timely turnover of voids ensuring KPI’s are met
- Coordinate the clearance and redecorating of rooms
- Carry out a range of reactive and planned minor property maintenance tasks such as; plumbing, painting, carpentry, lock changes, minor furniture repairs, decorations, tiling and general repairs.
- Manage a varying workload in a fast-paced Assessment centre setting whilst ensuring administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Work onsite in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of support staff and external partners
Working hours: 37.5 per week
About you
To thrive in this role you will have;
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to repair requests in a resourceful manner
- The ability to manage your own workload and varying deadlines
- Good interpersonal and listening skills, to establish effective working relationships.
- An enthusiasm to learn and work with clients with a holistic, person-centred approach.
