West London Centre for Counselling (WLCC) is pleased to offer an excellent opportunity to join our team through a full-time, salaried NHS Recruit to Train position.

Successful candidates will:

• Be employed by WLCC
• Join the Tavistock Relationships training programme
• Begin training as part of the September 2025 cohort and complete by September 2028.

About the Programme

Building on the success of previous cohorts, NHS England is funding new opportunities starting September 2025.

This three-year programme offers:

• Full tuition coverage
• Salary support funding
• Completion of foundation-level counselling training
• Specialist NHS Talking Therapies modality training in Couples Therapy for Depression (CtfD)

Course structure and requirements

The National Curriculum for High Intensity Psychotherapeutic Counselling within NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression outlines the full details of the course structure. To summarise, the following outlines the key training requirements:  

· A 1-year core psychotherapeutic counselling foundation level training, which also introduces the chosen NHS Talking Therapies modality. Following sign off for readiness, trainees can begin to practice at West London Centre for Counselling with people with mild to moderate depression

· Followed by, a 2-year post-graduate diploma (PGDip) in psychotherapeutic counselling (minimum 120 credits at Level 7)

· A minimum of 450 supervised client hours gained within a NHS Talking Therapies service

· A minimum of 450 training hours (skills and theory)  

· A minimum of 50 personal therapy hours  

· A minimum of 90 minutes of training supervision to every six hours of client work (or the equivalent for group supervision), or 90 minutes per week if they have completed less than six hours of client work in the week

· NHS Talking Therapy services will be responsible for supervision on site, including oversight of case management, clinical governance and management supervision in line with the supervision requirements of the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual.

· An average of two to three days per week of clinical practice in NHS Talking Therapies services

· Individual accreditation (professional registration) with a professional body in line with the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual (see the manual for more details)

The Role

You will lead and support the Beaumond House fundraising team in developing sustainable income to help ensure our charitable work continues to make an impact in Newark and Sherwood for future generations.  

Main Duties

• Responsible for devising, implementing, and developing innovative fundraising activity plans to ensure dependable sources of income for now and in the future.
• Work with your team, to build long-lasting relationships with our supporters, volunteers, businesses, grant makers and wider community.
• Manage the fundraising team operations and plan day-to-day activities.
• Ensure that all fundraising activity and donor communications is compliant and to best practice, keeping up to date with latest fundraising regulations.
•  Work closely with senior leadership team, in particular Head of Retail and Head of Care to ensure joined-up fundraising campaigns are in place across the organisation.

Operational and Management Duties

• Mentor and coach members of the team, identify and support with development needs in team knowledge or experience, offering support and best practice advice.
• Delivering a tactical programme to ensure the successful implementation of fundraising plans and strategy, supporting each member of the fundraising team to meet their targets.
• Identify and clarify relationship overlaps between fundraising team members to ensure clarity for donors and supporters.
•  Get involved and support the team with fundraising activities as required. Such as attending fundraising events and activities outside normal working hours, weekends and Bank Holidays when required.

Administration Duties

Our new Chief Operations Officer will pick up the baton passed by our departing COO who took on the challenge with gusto. Our new post holder will be able to build on the current activities and draw on their own skills and experience to take HTL to the next stage in its development.

Job Summary

Providing help, support and opportunities to over 600 people each year, HTL plays a vital role in the town. We are looking for an exceptional individual to take HTL into the next stage in its development. You will be joining a robust organisation with clear policies and procedures in place, in excellent financial order and with a competent, committed and professional staff team.

We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team as a COO.  You will be responsible for all aspects of the charity including the day-to-day leadership, funding, operational delivery and development, supported by a Board of Trustees, staff of five and around one hundred volunteers.

You will be based in our Ludlow office, with some activity in other venues in the town as required.

You will be an organised and enthusiastic individual with experience of management (preferably in the charity or third sector arena), ready to join an organisation where no day is the same. Status: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

Location: Home based in London area

Report To: Founder of The Black Economists Network

Hours: Part Time – commitment of 8 hours per week which must include at least 4 hours on Fridays

Salary: Based on experience; £23- £25 per hour.

Full time salary                      £45,000-48,100 per annum:

Pro-rata’d to                           £9,568-10,400 per annum

The opportunity:

We are looking for a Co-Director to join the team and be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the organisation.  The successful candidate will work with the Founder and stakeholders to ensure that TBEN fulfils its mission, but also ensuring that it maintains financial sustainability and delivers impactful programs.

This is a brand new role for TBEN and we are looking for someone who can join us and make a real difference to what we are able to deliver.

 

If you have:

Essential:

• Proven experience as an Economist or a field related to economics and related fields;
• Proven experience as a people manager who has recruited, nurtured and developed a successful team;
• Proven leadership and management experience
• Clear experience managing budgets, understanding funding cycles and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills;
• An in-depth understanding of – and a passion for – promoting diversity and inclusion;
• Experience of working collaboratively and making strategic decisions;
• Excellent organisational skills, multi-tasking and prioritising across multiple projects
• A minimum of a Degree in Economics or closely related within the economics field or relevant transferable qualification in Economics
• Commitment to TBEN’s mission; a deep understanding and passion for promoting racial equity and economic empowerment within Black communities
• Right to work in the UK.

 

Desirable:

• Organisational experience within a non-profit organisation, think tank or research organisation or an organisation focused on economic development or social justice
• Fundraising or partnership experience
• Experience securing grants
• Building strategy partnership
• Public speaking
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of non-profit funding models;
• Experience in event planning and management;
• Experience of working in the charity sector;
• Economics related qualification.
