The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. The post holder's duties will primarily focus on providing capacity building support to third sector organisations alongside organising events, undertaking community outreach, building and maintaining relationships and networks, writing reports based on analysis and research, and engaging with clients and project stakeholders to prepare bids and deliver new work. 

Main Duties:

• Plan and manage projects to ensure activities are delivered effectively to timescale and budget

• Plan and deliver fieldwork, outreach projects and events to engage residents and organisations 

• Work as part of a team to deliver projects with associates and partner companies

• Undertake research and data collection, including resident engagement activities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of workshops, training opportunities, and resources to support NFP organisations on a range of key capacity building areas 

• Undertake organisational health checks and keep accurate and up to date records

• Undertake monitoring and evaluation activities

• Help create content and materials for communications purposes and social media

• Work closely with project leads to prepare reporting and supporting documents

• Support the development of Mobilise Public Ltd and its people, including supporting the development of tenders and proposals

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required (Essential) 

• Supporting/Working with or in not for profit (NFP) organisations, in particular voluntary, community and/or social enterprises 

• Knowledge of key areas that create a strong and sustainable NFP organisation

• Knowledge or experience of working with NFP organisations of different sizes from grassroots to key anchor and national level organisations and a clear understanding of their current challenges

• Facilitating and developing or supporting events, workshops, focus groups or other similar activities

• Delivering fieldwork and outreach approaches to successfully recruit and engage a wide range of people and organisations

• Help identify an organisation’s development needs

• Excellent people skills that enable you to work sensitively and build trust to develop working relationships with a diverse range of people, organisations and clients from different sectors

Key Terms 

• Salary Range: £27,500-£38,000 (FTE), depending on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven fundraiser to join Kew’s successful Development team. Through maximising income from trusts and foundations and achieving Kew’s fundraising targets, the Trusts and Foundations Manager will enable Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to realise its goal to help end the extinction crisis and contribute to a world where nature is protected, valued by all, and managed sustainably.

This is a fantastic opportunity to actively participate in the implementation of the Trusts and Foundations strategy, helping to maintain and grow our income. The postholder will produce high-quality proposals, effectively steward existing donors, and establish and develop relationships with new funders to Kew. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across Development and Kew to deliver a world class fundraising function. This is an especially exciting time to join Kew’s fundraising team as we have recently begun the silent phase of a major comprehensive fundraising campaign which will build upon the Breathing Planet Campaign which raised £102.4m.

About You

An excellent writer with the ability to develop persuasive proposals, you will be responsible for making funding applications to trusts and foundations and providing funding impact reports as required. You will be an experienced fundraiser with a strong understanding of effective trust fundraising techniques, sound analytical skills and a meticulous eye for detail with experience of achieving financial targets. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and effective relationships with funders and colleagues. You will be a strong communicator and creative thinker with the ability to work calmly under pressure and synthesise complex information to inspire a variety of audiences.

Whilst primarily based at Kew, there is the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

Dreamflight is an independent UK charity that provides amazing holidays for children with a serious illness or disability.

Since 1987 we have taken over 6,500 children on their holiday of a lifetime to Orlando and in recent years have expanded to also offer exciting activity holidays in the UK. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To work with the Head of Fundraising & Communications in order to:

· Fully support individuals, Fundraising Groups and organisations who are fundraising for Dreamflight

· Maintain relationships with third party event companies, fundraising platforms etc in order to maximise income

· Grow income over the next five years by actively securing funds from existing and new income streams including individuals, corporates, legacies and Trust/Foundations

· Ensure a varied portfolio of fundraising activities are available, including developing and organising new events

· Represent Dreamflight at community events, to raise funds and awareness (including building new relationships with the small to medium local business community, local groups, societies and faith organisations)

· Ensure all fundraising activities conform to regulations, legal requirements, best practice, organisational policy, branding etc and complete all necessary returns

· Maintain accurate records on all fundraising activity via the Salesforce database

· Report back on a regular basis to the Head of Fundraising and Communications

· Ensure donors and fundraisers are consistently and appropriately thanked

· Complete ad-hoc projects/duties as and when they arise. Dreamflight has a small office team, and all staff members must be flexible regarding duties to be undertaken

Individual Giving Officer

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Individual Giving Officer to become an integral member of the fundraising team as we look to diversify and grow our individual giving programme.

Individual giving is a key income stream for Born Free, and you will be supporting the Head of Public Fundraising to grow income from new and existing supporters, including through existing products and testing new ways for people to give. The successful candidate will be involved in areas such as our adoption programme, lottery, appeals, supporter acquisition, retention, stewardship, and digital fundraising.

You will be highly motivated and passionate about the mission of Born Free and bring the experience of working in a fundraising team to help grow and diversify the individual giving programme.

The Role

Working collaboratively with the Head of Public Fundraising to develop and implement the Individual Giving strategy for income growth and supporter retention. The successful candidate will be detail-orientated, a team player, creative and able to work collaboratively as well as independently.

Resourceful, organised and a proactive team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will need to juggle both creative and data tasks with drive and enthusiasm, be able to work with minimum supervision and show good judgement and initiative.

Key tasks will include:

• Supporter acquisition: work with Head of Public Fundraising to develop, project manage and deliver an integrated multi-channel rolling supporter acquisition across the individual giving portfolio.
• Supporter retention, journeys, and engagement: work with the Head of Public Fundraising, Supporter Database & Insight Manager, and Communications team to project manage, and deliver a successful supporter journey to reduce attrition across the individual giving portfolio, and deliver on appeals and other supporter mailings.
• Digital Marketing: project manage and champion digital fundraising for individual giving, supporting the Social Media Manager and the Marketing Manager with the development of content.
• Manage suppliers and stakeholders: Ensuring high standards of delivery and collaboration are maintained within budgets and procurement requirements.
• Data insight: Work alongside the Head of Public Fundraising and Supporter Data & Insight Manager to ensure the selection and segmentation maximise results. Use campaign data to track and report on the effectiveness of activity, attrition levels, and inform decision-making and future planning.
• Strategy & Planning: Work alongside the Head of Public Fundraising and Director of Fundraising to produce and execute an effective and sustainable individual giving plan to grow income from new and existing donors.
• Budgets: Support the Head of Public Fundraising with compiling budgets, phasing and monitoring Individual Giving income and expenditure.
• External trends and regulation: Keep up to date with fundraising trends and legislation in relation to public fundraising, and ensure compliance with the Charity Commission, fundraising regulation and data protection requirements, including the General Data Protection Directive; Ensure all individual giving activity complies with the appropriate regulation and legislation and delivers an excellent experience for supporters.

The successful candidate should ideally demonstrate the following attributes:

• Direct marketing experience (essential) and digital marketing experience (essential)
• Highly numerate and extremely comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and KPIs
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships with colleagues, donors and external suppliers.
• Proven experience in working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and relational databases (including data input), ideally with knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or equivalent CRM.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively to both external and internal audiences.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills and an ability to prioritise work, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.

The role

We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Officer to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our partnerships with trusts, foundations and statutory givers. Working closely with the Trusts and Grants Manager and four more team members, this new role will lead on nurturing low and mid-value relationships with prospective funders who have capacity to give ongoing funding to FareShare.

The Trusts and Grants and Officer will take on the management and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of four and five-figure funding relationships, while developing new partnerships with a range of givers and leading on prospecting for certain areas of our funder portfolio.

Main areas of responsibility

Build relationships with a portfolio of four and five-figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.

Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes working closely with colleagues in the wider Fundraising team to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed.

Supporting with the team’s prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to identify new opportunities from identification through to solicitation.

Lead the Trusts & Grants and wider Fundraising team on specific projects within FareShare’s work, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to gather information to inform fundraising activities.

Develop personalised stewardship plans to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Support on and lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.

Support the Trusts & Grants Manager and wider team as needed, especially in instances where a complex funding application requires more than one team member to complete.

Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

As a Family Separation Mentor, you will be providing emotional support and guidance to dads who are going through family separation, navigating child-arrangements within the family court system and need support with their mental well-being; especially those who may be experiencing suicidal ideation.

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord.  They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning.  1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do.  Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems.  Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

Cavernoma Alliance UK (CAUK) is a member-led organisation, run by and for those impacted by cavernoma with more information available on our website. We work from a model of empowerment, recognising the value of our members’ lived experience to provide mutual support, improve standards of care and drive research into finding a cure.

Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. Our support services include a helpline, buddying, counselling, online support groups, meet-ups, webinars, lectures, newsletter, leaflets, website and social media. 

About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers.  This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date.  Over time the post-holder will be expected to build a good working knowledge of members and volunteers.  They will also be expected to develop strong communication skills, including active listening, alongside the ability to multitask, manage time and prioritise.

The Events and Office Assistant is responsible for assisting the Charity Manager with the administration of events alongside some general office activities for the charity.  This includes assisting with the organisation of the virtual Annual Conference, virtual Monthly Information Webinars, in-person Annual Snowdon Climb for Cavernoma, online Cavernoma Awareness Month activities, in-person Autumn Lecture, virtual Secret Santa, attendance by volunteers at external conferences, and any other events organised by CAUK.  As and when time permits in between events the post-holder will also assist with some general office activities, including posting t-shirts/fundraising packs to fundraisers and arranging Zoom meetings.

As Funding and Grants Manager you’ll secure, manage and develop relationships with our funders and partners.  Your remit will include every aspect of the grant, funding and partnership lifecycle from developing new opportunities to reporting on live delivery and evaluating completed work.

Working within a passionate and effective team, you’ll manage a portfolio of our funders, with a focus on corporates,  ensuring key milestones and requirements are captured for each funder, reporting is timely and accurate, and our processes and systems are compliant. 

You’ll play a key role in securing new partnerships and grants with a focus on private sector bids (corporate CSR, trusts and foundations) and with contributions to public sector bids (Department for Education, Combined Authorities). 

You’ll manage the department’s events programme of 3-5 events per year, working closely with corporate partners to deliver highly successful events to engage current and potential funders deeply with our work. 

You’ll work closely with our Head of Grant Management and Funding, as part of the Growth, Data and Operations team. This is an exciting team focusing on innovation and growth, including fundraising, new programmes, partnerships, data processes and research.

You will have experience of:

• Creative and strategic thinking, with passionate for demonstrating how the business community can change the landscape of the UK’s mental health.
• Budgeting processes and tracking and forecasting income and expenditure for partners and your pipeline.

You will occasionally travel the country and work flexibly to meet the requirements of the job role (e.g. occasional evenings and weekends where event attendance is required).

You may also have:

• Knowledge of the mental health / illness sector.
• Sound understanding of relevant fundraising regulations and GDPR.
• Previous experience of working with Salesforce or other fundraising databases.
