About this key role
Our successful candidate will carry out initial and ongoing assessments of the support needs of individual participants, before providing them with essential advocacy, mentoring, guidance and training interventions that meet their needs, plus engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme by providing ongoing resettlement support. You will be expected to create an Action Plan, planning and designing appropriate activities, training programmes and interventions, establish and deliver high-quality, engaging one-to-one and group sessions, while also monitoring participants’ progress and providing timely monthly reports.
We will also rely on you to develop strong relationships with HMPPS/agencies offering support, where appropriate provide holistic wrap-around with general elements of resettlement support and working collaboratively plan for and facilitate effective Through the Gate and warm handover to the relevant Support Worker in Community.
What we are looking for
- Working intensively with individuals and supporting their progression
- Working with offenders, or those disaffected and marginalised from mainstream services, in training, guidance, advice and counselling environments would be advantageous
- High level guidance skills, with the ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions
- Knowledge of the issues affecting the rehabilitation of offenders and desistance theory
- Knowledge of HM Prison environments and/or training, education and employment opportunities locally and nationally, and of training and guidance
- Demonstrable ability to support and motivate learners with multiple complex needs
- The ability to effectively assess evidence and identify assessment criteria using a range of assessment methods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- A flexible, collaborative and professional approach to your work.

AIM OF ROLE:
The aim of the requalification caseworker is to work with clients that apply to our requalification, loan and employment programme. This includes processing loan applications and conducting loan interviews, loan administration, client casework and supporting relationships with professional bodies. You will develop learning plans, attend sector-specific events, network to build a robust toolbox of support for clients, research pathways and offer advice and guidance to prospective clients, current clients and other programmes within RefuAid.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Casework; directly working with clients from loan application to loan repayment - conducting check-ins and supporting clients with re-qualification, loan and other related issues.
● Casework; ensuring clients are well supported and signposting or referring to support services where required.
● Providing guidance and career advice - overlooking CVs, supporting job interview preparation and searches, sending tailored resources, writing references and signposting.
● Meeting clients face to face whether in the office or visiting loan and re-qualification recipients all over the UK - this can be a mixture of London-based and national.
● Researching suitable employment and education pathways - outreaching to professional bodies and employers to ask for sector-specific advice where necessary, creating new relationships with as-of-yet unexplored fields.
● Working with the requalification lead to assess loan applications using a character-based model.
● Processing loans and travel payments to clients.
● Working closely with the loan administrator to ensure a seamless journey from initial application to full repayment - contacting our loan administrators where necessary.
● Supporting relationships with professional bodies.
● Working closely with all other RefuAid programmes to ensure holistic support for clients and supporting a streamlined referral process.
● Ensuring that all information is recorded accurately and that databases remain up to date.
● Attending sector-specific events to raise awareness of our work, and following the strategy to best-support RefuAid’s clients.
● Using initiative to be creative in forging new ways to support clients.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
● Good administrative, case management and time management skills.
● Highly organised, an analytical thinker who is diligent with good attention to detail.
● Enthusiastic and proactive in finding new ways to support forcibly displaced people re-enter their professions in the UK.

About this key role
As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison. This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.
We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.
The contract requires clearance through HMPPS vetting.
What we are looking for
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, e.g. those with complex and multiple needs.
• Proven record of working with partner agencies.
• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice.
• Higher level certificate in money and/or welfare benefit advice from accreditation.

• A full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Ensuring the ongoing needs of young people with life-limiting conditions are addressed is a priority for Rainbows. Therefore, we are seeking a part-time Transition Support Worker to join the existing Transition Team to champion and advocate for the rights of children and young people to have fair access to care, education, and social activities.
This role will involve you covering the areas of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and North Derbyshire therefore, you will need to have the ability to travel around without relying on public transport. You will also need to travel to the Hospice on Lark Rise in Loughborough for your interview, team meetings and events.
Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week with the requirement to work occasional weekends and evenings to support with events like open day, leavers weekends, group sessions and 1-1 support time.
About the role
This role provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team working with children and young people from the age of 13 up to the age of 25, supporting them to transition from children’s services into adult’s services.

In partnership with the London Borough of Bromley, this new unique role has been developed as part of an exciting pilot project funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to support autistic/neurodivergent students to transition from school into further training or permanent paid employment.
The successful candidate will provide training and workshops to participants and their support networks to enhance understanding and coping skills. In addition, the role will be required to provide training for other stakeholders (employers and other organisations) to raise awareness and ensure they understand the needs of the participants.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants to help them take the steps they need to gain employment. This can include CV writing, interview practice, work experience, apprenticeships, college and/or other vocational courses, paid employment opportunities.
- Work closely with local employers and engage them in signing up to the Employability programme
- Act as main liaison between participants and professionals working with the participant to ensure that reasonable adjustments are made to enable success

About the role:
You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as set by the Operation managers and Deputy Head of Service.
We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all service users and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.
You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.
You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the nature and impact of sexual violence and experience of working with victims. They will be required to work within a multi-agency setting to provide a pro-active service to survivors of sexual violence within and outside of the criminal justice system to:
Develop and deliver a non-therapeutic advocacy and support service to clients
Help clients to access appropriate therapeutic interventions and to develop their own support network

Monitor and keep the client informed of case progress if involved with the Criminal Justice Process
Provide information about the impacts of sexual violence and signpost to specialist support services
Maintain a caseload and accurate electronic records

Contribute towards service development
Participate in individual clinical supervision, appraisal sessions and team meetings
The post holder will support adults and children and young people dependent upon service demands.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.
We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.
You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance misuse work, including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support, as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed supporting clients to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider drug strategy.
Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance misuse, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of our service users to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.
Experience of working with drug and alcohol misuse and individuals is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with clients on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.
