This is a key role in fulfilling CEASE’s aim to drive legislative reform that strengthens accountability, scrutiny and regulation of all parts of the commercial sex industry and other vested commercial interests, which are driving sexual violence, abuse and exploitation. It is about holding the UK government accountable in its duty to protect citizens from high-harm industries, appealing to robust evidence, survivor testimony and a careful critical analysis of the ideological justifications that uphold it.
The work crosses multiple different areas, from policing, online safety and child protection to violence against women and girls (VAWG). It involves close collaboration with experts and partner organisations through strategic partnerships and coalitions, and the building of trusted relationships with MPs, Peers, civil servants and other decision-makers.
This role sits within the Activism strand of CEASE’s strategy, alongside media outreach and commercial advocacy, and works closely with the Chief Executive and Strategic Director
Main Duties and Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership

Work closely and effectively with the Chief Executive, Strategic Director and Trustees to advise on priorities and opportunities within this space.

Develop both short- and long-term political strategies to engage key stakeholders with CEASE’s policy solutions.

Identify and formulate strategies for gathering robust evidence on key issues where needed.

Shape policy recommendations in line with CEASE’s strategic priorities and emerging trends.

Ensure all external engagement reflects CEASE’s values and core messaging.

Contribute political intelligence and insight to CEASE’s wider strategic planning and organisational development.
B. Policy
Goal: To ensure CEASE’s policy recommendations are robust, evidence-based, survivor-informed and coherent.

Gather and present evidence on commercial and cultural drivers of sexual abuse and exploitation, and on systemic failures in regulation and enforcement.

Identify evidence gaps and devise effective means for CEASE or partners within our networks to fill them.

Produce policy briefings and consultation responses for parliamentarians and civil servants, often in collaboration with allies.

Monitor parliamentary business in Westminster, analysing legislation and proposing amendments grounded in evidence and framed for maximum impact.

Develop CEASE’s positions on new and emerging issues and technologies in line with our mission.

Prepare speeches and statements for the Chief Executive or Strategic Director to deliver to parliamentarians, committees and inquiries.

Integrate survivor insight and lived experience into policy and advocacy materials wherever appropriate.

Analyse, distil and present research findings to provide credible, compelling evidence for policymakers and stakeholders.

Track engagement outcomes and evaluate the impact of CEASE’s policy work, sharing learning internally.
C. Public Affairs
Goal: To ensure CEASE’s policy recommendations are seen, heard and acted upon.

Create opportunities to promote CEASE’s policy solutions in Westminster through roundtables, drop-ins and parliamentary events.

Engage directly with decision-makers, building trusted relationships across parties and with key officials.

Identify and support parliamentarians who can champion CEASE’s issues through speeches, strategic questions, debate briefings and Private Members’ Bills.

Build and maintain relationships with MPs, Peers, civil servants and officials in relevant government departments (Home Office, DCMS, DfE, etc.); participate in select committees and APPGs.

Monitor the political landscape to identify alignment between CEASE’s goals and current government priorities, debates and legislative timetables.

Collaborate with colleagues to nurture relationships with key stakeholders such as charities, public bodies, academic institutions, industry figures and experts.

Lead or contribute to policy-focused coalitions and alliances aimed at influencing government and legislative reform.

Support wider campaigns that leverage coalition backing (e.g. petitions, iParls or media initiatives), aligning messaging across CEASE’s team to amplify impact.

Track and evaluate the reach and influence of CEASE’s public affairs activities to inform ongoing strategy.
D. Research

Maintain awareness of political and legal developments in other countries and international bodies such as the UN.

Commission or collaborate on research that strengthens CEASE’s evidence base and credibility.

Distil complex research and policy information into accessible formats for internal and external audiences, in collaboration with the Chief Executive and Strategic Director.

Work with the wider CEASE team to “demystify” the political process and support civic and grassroots engagement.
E. Fundraising

Identify potential donors and funding opportunities through policy networks.

Contribute to the development of compelling funding cases linked to CEASE’s policy impact and advocacy outcomes.

- Track DBS checks, mandatory and additonal training for all Volunteers, Staff and Trustees
- Take responsibility for compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and risk management

As the twin nature and climate crises continue to accelerate, communities are already feeling the effects of increased flooding, drought and soil loss. At the same time, nature disconnectedness is causing many people to feel powerless to act. This role seeks to redress that balance, by telling the stories of nature recovery from those that it is affecting directly. To give a voice to local communities and amplify these messages in ways that inspire others to take action be that through direct action, policy making, funding or wider support.
The Temperate Rainforest Restoration Programme is a £38.9 million, 100-year programme working in a long-term partnership with Aviva. Native to the British Isles, temperate rainforest is an incredibly rare and biodiverse habitat, rarer even, than its tropical counterpart. This programme is going beyond traditional habitat restoration and creating new rainforests on eligible sites across the bioclimatic envelope (the area along our Atlantic coastline with the specific conditions needed for rainforest to thrive).
This post will work across teams within The Wildlife Trusts’ to tell the story of this restoration and promote the importance of temperate rainforests based on connecting with people and telling their first-hand accounts of the work of Wildlife Trusts along the west of the UK, with a particular focus on Wales. This role will need to relay stories of how nature restoration benefits communities helping them adapt to our changing climate. Your work will give a voice to living memories of the land but also look ahead, effectively and compassionately communicating the need for a just transition to create more resilient landscapes that benefit future generations.
About You
You are a passionate science communicator with a demonstrable ability to inspire action in others for nature’s recovery. Your strong communications skills include the ability to create clear, audience-specific messaging and use digital tools to engage and connect with people wherever they are. You can build coherent narratives so that stories gather momentum over time and balance personal storytelling with the need to maintain brand consistency. Your outgoing and collaborative working style also makes you comfortable engaging with people face to face, going to meet people where they are and using these relationships to share real-world stories which foster a sense of shared ownership of content produced.
Experience of working in rural or farming contexts is beneficial, particularly in terms of Welsh culture and while knowledge of UK nature conservation, particularly woodlands, is helpful, it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to build rapport quickly and tell stories with conviction whoever the audience.

About the Role
This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Manager role will work with The Income Generation Manager, The Fundraising and Communications Team and the Senior Leadership teams to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively planned, developed, and implemented. As the Fundraising and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for supporting the growth of unrestricted income across individual and major donor as well as managing our corporate, and community fundraising.

You will create and deliver inspiring campaigns, optimise donor journeys, and ensure excellent supporter stewardship. The role includes responsibility for team leadership, with a focus on generating new income streams and maintaining compliance. You will have strong communication and data skills in helping drive the charity’s positive impact for Mind BLMK’s businesses and communities.
As the Fundraising and Engagement Manager you will support, develop and direct colleagues within the fundraising and engagement team leading on a range of activities and ensure that fundraising ideas and events are high profile and will generate funds. You will be able to reach fundraising targets and have a proven track record of tools used in fundraising such as Just Giving, legacy, Charity of the Year, media campaign and fundraising, face to face, corporate and strategic fundraising experience is also needed.
You will be proactive, work well on own and in team and have experience in delivering presentations and key messages to a range of audiences.

Introduction
Herts Welcomes Refugees is at a transitional stage of its development, moving from a charity
managed entirely by volunteers to one in which a small team of paid staff at its core facilitate and
support the trustees to guide the work of the 170 or so volunteers. The staff team currently
comprises a Volunteer Coordinator an IT Support Assistant and soon we will also be recruiting an
Administrative Assistant. The Director will also work collaboratively with the (volunteer)
Management Committee, the volunteer teams delivering services across the county and those
volunteers providing support in key areas such as evaluation media and safeguarding.
Having come through a period of rapid development in the last four years, we now need to
consolidate our knowledge and experience and further professionalise how we operate to ensure
the sustainability and further development of the charity. Whilst committed to remaining a
volunteer led charity, we need an energetic and experienced Director to support the trustees in
achieving our objectives and take the charity into the next phase of its development.
This brand-new senior role, which is being created as part of a new three-year funding programme by the
National Lottery Community Fund, is key to the next stage of our development. The postholder
will need to be flexible in working with the Trustees, existing staff team and volunteers to help
steer the charity through this transition.
Main purposes of the job:
1. To work with the trustees and volunteers in developing, supporting and facilitating the work of
the charity and its volunteers to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, quality and consistency of
the services provided to refugees and asylum seekers.
2. To be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of HWR in line with the
organisation’s policies and in compliance with all applicable law and regulation and to manage the
staff team to increase the efficiency of the administration of the charity.
3. To support the trustees in achieving HWR’s vision, mission and charitable objects and strategic
objectives and ensure the sustainability of the charity

and enabled to offer effective services across the county.
1.2 To work with the management group to ensure its effective organisation.

support and development of volunteers and staff.
1.6 To support the organisation to ensure the inclusion and voice of service users throughout the

1.8 To report to the trustees on the progress of the organisation and on other matters relevant to
the discharge of the trustees’ responsibilities.
1.9 To formulate proposals for submission to, and approval by, the trustees.
1.10 Working with the trustees, to ensure that the organisation discharges its constitutional and
legal obligations and that the necessary resources are provided and proper standards maintained
for the protection of people and the organisation's assets.

2.1 To support the trustees in relation to HWR’s income generation activities in line with the
organisation's priorities.
2.2 Together with the trustees to consider development of other income streams, including
corporate fundraising and legacies.
2.3 To work with the Treasurer to help develop and monitor the budget.
2.4 To oversee HWR’s outsourced payroll administration
2.5 To support the trustees with identifying and managing risk.
3. Knowledge and Information Management
3.1 To develop and implement robust mechanisms for the monitoring, reporting and evaluation of
HWR’s work, and the impact and outcomes of its services.
3.2 To work with trustees and staff and volunteers to ensure the efficient operation of the charity
through the development of IT infrastructure, and efficient and effective delivery of services and
back-office administration.
3.3 To work with trustees and staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with all regulation and
good practice in relation to data confidentiality, security, safeguarding and GDPR.
4. General Tasks
4.1 Share with other staff responsibility for providing office cover, including answering the
telephone and website enquiries, keeping records and statistics and self-servicing your own
administration.

We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.
Overall purpose of job:
The Homeless Intervention Team (HIT) Lead oversees SIFA Fireside’s on-site support centre services, ensuring that individuals are provided with a safe, welcoming environment. A key focus of the role is to lead the team delivering a daily ‘Drop In’ service, for people who are, or are at immediate risk of, rough sleeping or in need of emergency support. The post holder will be a strong leader that manages the day-to-day function of the Homeless Intervention Team, working with partner agencies and other SIFA services to ensure those accessing the space receive the correct assistance. The HIT Lead reports to the HIT Service Manager and plays an essential role in the operational delivery of SIFA Fireside’s vision.
Key Tasks (selection of):
1. Provide direct line management and supervision for HIT colleagues.
2. Facilitate integrated service provision through close working alongside other Service Leads, ensuring effective management of internal referrals and joint working within the teams.
3. Carry a small caseload of clients.
4. Support and review the active caseload of clients across the HIT service, including clients accessing housing assistance from the Birmingham City Council Housing Team on site.
5. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, contributing to their ongoing development across the organisation and acting as the first point of reference for HIT colleagues.
6. Be responsible for the day to day running of the HIT service, acting as the first escalation point concerning incidents and complaints.
