REMIX is a start‑up, youth‑led social mobility charity transforming young lives across London. We are in the exciting early stages of building something bold, vibrant, and community‑powered — and we’re looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial COO (Volunteer) to help shape REMIX’s operational heartbeat from the ground up.

The Role

We are seeking a driven, organised, and people‑centred Chief Operating Officer (COO) (Volunteer) to lead REMIX’s operations and work closely with the CEO (Volunteer) to guide the charity through its start‑up phase and beyond. This is a hands‑on, strategic, and highly collaborative role for someone who thrives in early‑stage environments and loves turning vision into reality.

As COO (Volunteer), you will help build the systems, processes, culture, and operational foundations that will allow REMIX to grow sustainably and deliver high‑impact programmes for young Londoners.

Time commitment: Flexible but recommended around 5–10 hours per week, including:

• Bi‑monthly Board meetings

• Working groups and leadership sessions

• COO (Volunteer) duties, operational planning, partnership building, and organisational development

Key Responsibilities

As COO (Volunteer), you will:

• Lead REMIX’s day‑to‑day operations, ensuring smooth, effective, and values‑driven delivery.

• Work closely with the CEO (Volunteer) to develop and implement organisational strategy, systems, and processes.

• Build operational frameworks for programmes, safeguarding, volunteer management, and quality assurance.

• Support the development of policies, procedures, and internal structures as the charity grows.

• Oversee operational risk management and ensure compliance with charity regulations.

• Foster a positive, collaborative culture across volunteers, mentors, and Trustees.

• Drive innovation, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement across all areas of the charity.

• Represent REMIX with professionalism, warmth, and credibility when engaging with partners and stakeholders.

This role blends leadership, operations, people management, and strategic development — perfect for someone who enjoys variety, pace, and impact.

You don’t need previous COO experience — we welcome people stepping into senior leadership for the first time. What matters most is your passion, your drive, and your ability to lead with purpose.

Overview

No Panic is a national charity, supporting people with a variety of anxiety issues, providing self-help advice over our helpline and additional support services.

We are building a team of volunteers to produce and distribute introduction material about No Panic to service users, members, students and volunteers.

We are looking for a volunteer to co-ordinate this team.

Activities

Activities will include reviewing the introduction material; assigning editing tasks to team members;  monitoring progress; reviewing content and overseeing distribution.

The Co-ordinator might also do the editing, if no volunteers are available.

We anticipate this volunteering will take up about 3-4 hours per week and ask our volunteers to commit to at least a year.

Desired Skills

Successful applicants will be committed and motivated.

They will be confident, and have the skills to run a team.

They will be able to produce and edit documents of varying lengths to a high standard and be able to write and communicate with clarity.

A reference will be required.

The Introductions Team Co-ordinator will be supported by a Trustee.

RSPCA Finchley, Golders Green, Hendon & District Branch

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual who can devote their time to volunteering with us as a Volunteer Coordinator, helping specifically to recruit, train and retain volunteers across the branch.

This role focuses on building and strengthening the branch’s volunteer base, enabling us to deliver vital local animal welfare services while ensuring our charity shops operate efficiently and effectively.

Pedal Away is a community-based cycling scheme that enables people to ride, regardless of their age, ability or cycling experience. We have Pedal Away Cycle Hubs at a limited number of locations which will allow you to realise your passion for all things two-wheels. Our Pedal Away rides are pitched at a level so that anyone can join in no matter how long it's been since you were last on a two-wheeled bike. They are social rides aimed to turn people from beginner to independent and confident cyclist, away from traffic and are led by experienced ride leaders.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

• Volunteering alongside colleagues including the branch coordinator/team leader, Cat Welfare team, branch development manager and Vet team to ensure that cat care policies, procedures and standards are applied
• Support fosterers to follow cat welfare policies and procedures
• Acting as the main point of contact within the branch for cat welfare and ensuring that welfare updates are shared and implemented effectively
• Supporting the branch by ensuring that accurate and up to date records of all cats helped are maintained, using specified systems
• Attending relevant volunteer training sessions and encouraging other volunteers to do likewise
• With the other volunteers, recruit, induct and support all branch fosterers and cat care volunteers
• Represent the branch at relevant meetings
• Play an active part in the branch committee, being part of the branch team leading on cat adoption information and updates
• Collaborating with the cat adoption team leader to ensure the highest standards of cat care are applied in line with our policies and procedures

Time expectation

The time expectation for this role will vary depending on the number of volunteers and cats in care. Our cat welfare team leaders usually spend between 10 to 12 hours per week in this role which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

RNIB is looking for enthusiastic and noisy volunteers to join our London Landmarks Half Marathon Cheer Squad on Sunday 12th April 2026. Lend your voice and energy to cheer on our amazing runners at the RNIB Cheer Point which will be near Embankment Station. If you can spare a few hours of your time, you can make a difference by motivating and supporting our inspirational runners.

Time expectation

Our volunteer fosterers usually spend around one and a half hours per day (around 10 to 13 hours per week) in this role, but this might vary depending on the number of cats or kittens in care.

What will you be doing?

To support delivery of the E‑Save app, you’ll help recruit, support and coordinate our growing UK‑based volunteer community. You’ll provide administrative oversight for current volunteers, support ongoing recruitment, and help develop volunteer and HR processes.

 Over time, you’ll contribute to policies, engagement programmes, crowd‑sourcing initiatives, and local pilot volunteers.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for UK‑based volunteers with experience in HR, volunteer management, or people operations. You’ll help lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding and training; develop HR and volunteer policies; support engagement and wellbeing; and maintain confidential records. 

You’ll need strong organisational and interpersonal skills, knowledge of safeguarding and data protection, and the ability to support a diverse, remote volunteer team.
