The Role

Being an Outdoor Learning Officer involves collaborating with schools to integrate Outdoor Learning into their curricula and provide opportunities for children and young people to have positive experiences in natural environments, focusing on underserved groups and those most in need of support. You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of our schools offer to ensure the success of Outdoor Learning programmes in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Delivery and Collaboration:

•  Develop a bespoke Outdoor Learning offer to schools as part of our Foundations for Outdoor Learning and/or Enriching Education programmes, considering various factors such as location, catchment area, size and type of groups, use of resources and landscape.
• Plan and deliver Outdoor Learning sessions for eligible schools, on school grounds, in local green spaces and at Low Beckside Farm, devising activities and developing appropriate learning resources for each session and agreed outcome.
• Support the delivery of sessions at Low Beckside Farm for groups attending as part of their OWL (Outdoor Week of Learning) residential.
• Work with schools and teachers for effective delivery of programmes.
• Contribute to impact assessments through data collection, observations, and evaluation paperwork.
• Comply with all risk assessments, Health & Safety policies and safeguarding considerations.
• Build a network among schools, aligning their needs with the Trust’s programmes.
• Coordinate with other Outdoor Learning Officers for collaboration with each other and local networks.

Development and Promotion:

• Support the development of our site at Low Beckside Farm as a venue for high-quality school learning. 
• Assist Learning Operations Lead in establishing and maintaining key relationships and projects and promoting Outdoor Learning programmes by attending relevant events.
• Contribute to the development of the Trust through engagement with grantees/beneficiaries in Cumbria and facilitation of the Outdoor Practitioners’ Education Network (OPEN) meetings, and explore opportunities for collaborative efforts.
• Participate in the development of learning policies and procedures, including risk assessments, Health & Safety protocols, training needs, and safeguarding.

Our Schools Programmes offer long-term support to the schools who need this most. We do not charge for our service and are constantly working to break down barriers to participation in Outdoor Learning.

 We offer a targeted programme of support, individually designed for each school, based on a needs analysis and conversations with staff. This will follow one of two pathways:

Foundations for Outdoor Learning
This programme is a comprehensive, long-term support package for schools wanting to embed Outdoor Learning into their curriculum and practice. Support may include teacher CPD, mentoring, and advice on how to optimise use of your school grounds. We do this on your school site, with some supported visits to local green spaces and our own learning locations.

Enriching Education
This programme uses The Ernest Cook Trust’s own learning locations - woodlands, farms, rivers and other natural landscapes - together with our Outdoor Learning leaders to support a school’s Outdoor Learning provision. This may be a school’s first experience of Outdoor Learning, or it may enhance and extend existing programmes. Either way, we aim to inspire all participants to spend more time
outdoors.

Learning Support Assistants support PiP’s Development Workers to deliver a flexible programme of learning and development opportunities; ensuring that students can actively participate and engage in sessions, giving student’s maximum opportunity to learn and develop.

About the role

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work across two schools in Greenwich, London. Our schools are shown on a map The Access Project schools on our website.

The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.

Role responsibilities

• Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme

• Match students with volunteer tutors

• Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance

• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications

• Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)

• Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate

• Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme

• Manage tutor relationships and attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls.

• Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme

• Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.

• University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, and attending university site visits, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

The motivation behind the LifeSkills programme is to inspire millions of young people and equip them with the key skills to move forward into the 21st century workplace. The programme focuses on teaching skills such as CV writing, interview skills, networking, problem solving, creativity, resilience, communication and managing online reputation. This combined Programme Manager, Facilitator role will be instrumental in raising awareness and developing skills in schools across Wales.

This post requires daily travel within South Wales.

The role will involve:

• A thorough understanding of the ready-made online resources to facilitate LifeSkills workshops, online and in person
• Creation and management of a deployment plan to achieve agreed targets for students and engagement of Barclays staff
• Maintaining systems for timely and accurate monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the effectiveness of the LifeSkills programme in line with contract requirements
• Sharing best practice and collaborating within and across BITC’s programme managers/facilitators in Scotland and Northern Ireland

The successful candidate will be:  

• Managing the delivery of programmes to meet contractual obligations
• Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships
• Delivering highly engaging workshops which respond to learner needs and remain true to workshop objectives

The role requires travel across the region for programme delivery and participant interaction.

Salary:
The salary band for this role reflects the flexibility we offer with the contractual location. Candidates will be based at home and have personal transport to travel to schools across Wales. This role is 28 hours per week until 31 July 2025 with a full-time equivalent salary of £27,945 to £32,000 per annum (this will be prorated for part-time hours).

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for two Employment Specialists to join our team in Chertsey and Leatherhead, Surrey. We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment. We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But, it’s only possible with the help of people like you.

Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with partner organisations, local employers and Mental Health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
 
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

The post holder will be a car driver or have the ability to travel independently across a large geographical area within Surrey.

We have one positions available, based at Bradmere House in Leatherhead covering the Epsom & Mole Valley area. 

This is a permanent full time post, requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment. We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But it’s only possible with the help of people like you.
 
Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with partner organisations, local employers and Mental Health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
 
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

The post holder will be a car driver to have the ability to travel independently across a large geographical area within Surrey. 

We have one positions available, based at Wingfield Resource Centre in Redhill covering the Tandridge & Reigate area. 

This is a permanent full time post, requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

About the role:

The Foundation/Domestic Abuse Prevention Practitioner (FDAP) will play a key role in working directly with individuals using harmful/abusive behaviour within their intimate relationships. The role will include suitability and risk assessments, delivery of interventions, facilitation of group programmes, risk identification, information sharing and preparation of reports for courts and other agencies.

The FDAP Practitioner will be co-located into Priority Crime Teams situated in Newport Police Station to assist with the identification, screening, and engagement of individuals using harmful behaviour in their relationships, working closely with police to provide a timely and streamlined process for earlier identification, referral, and engagement/disruption of high harm perpetrators of domestic abuse.

For this role is it essential you have excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children. Experience of working with individuals experiencing domestic abuse/ and or causing harm. Experience of group work delivery is desirable; however, we will consider applications from candidates who demonstrate an aptitude for the role.

You will need to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes within a multi-agency setting. As well as being tenacious in support of your clients and adept at problem solving.

IT literacy is a must and candidates must evidence both the ability to use bespoke packages and excellence in their recording practice.

Role Summary

The Resources Coordinator role sits within the learning content creation team, which is responsible for the devising, commissioning and delivering of high quality, film-focused learning opportunities. These include the production of resources and online courses for teachers and their learners which are made available on our website, Into Film+ (our video-on-demand platform) and on our learning platform. 

Main Responsibilities 

• To produce high quality, exciting and engaging resources for educators and young people, including commercial resources for film industry clients. 
• To contribute to the planning and evaluation of resources within our three key areas of work: Teaching with Film, Careers and Progression, and Filmmaking
• To project manage the resource process from initiation to publication or delivery.
• To assist the corporate partnerships team by contributing to pitches for educational resources with partners to support new film releases. 
• To contribute to the development of courses aimed at educators via our online learning platform.

Regional Youth Worker - London
Salary: £27,000
Location: Flexible, based at our office in Aldgate East, with travel throughout the London region and occasional remote working.

We are looking for an experienced Youth Worker, to deliver training sessions and projects to young people through youth centres, community groups, schools and alternative provisions across the London Region, and to ensure our programmes are fit for the future.
 

We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 9,500 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 350 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. Snow Camp is a ground-breaking national youth charity, and we are looking to recruit a fantastic new North West Wellbeing Manager and Programme Support to join our North West team on a 4 day a week contract (30 hrs).

Our accredited programmes are unique and attractive to young people, taking them from beginner to qualified snowsports instructors in just one year with volunteering and apprenticeship progression routes available at the end. Alongside learning to ski or snowboard, young people also have access to wellbeing support with the emphasis on improving young people’s mental health and wellbeing.

You will report to the North West Programme Manager & Head of Snowsports and will be responsible for the delivery of our wellbeing workshops and providing 1to1 wellbeing support sessions to young people. You will also work as part of the North West team to assist with the planning and delivery of snowsports and life-skills focused youth activities run by the Programme Manager and assist with the apprenticeship programme throughout each year.

Experience of working successfully with under-served young people in a range of settings, with a focus on supporting young people’s wellbeing will be essential to the post. Passion for snowsports and supporting young people generally will be a huge advantage!

Youth work, wellbeing support experience, project management, logistical skills, managing relationships, communication and presentation skills will make up the role. Along with experience of delivering group workshops to help young people work towards meaningful goals to improve their emotional wellbeing.

Job Description

• You will spend roughly 2.5 days will be in the Wellbeing Manager role and 1.5 days will be in the Programme Support role each week.

LSO Discovery is seeking a motivated arts administrator to take on the role of Discovery Choral and Concerts Coordinator. The role coordinates work across LSO Discovery’s orchestral concerts for young people and communities, including the Key Stage concerts for schools, Family concerts, and the Discovery Showcase, and coordinates singing activities through the LSO Gospel Community Voices project and the LSO Discovery Choirs.
