Since joining ClientEarth as a Philanthropy Officer, Sebastien has progressed to the Philanthropy Manager position where he supports and oversees two members of the Philanthropy Team. He has found that working in the Philanthropy Team has been a fantastic way to support ClientEarth's mission while learning about the world and developing skills in relationship management and communication. 

Main Duties

• Actively manage donor relationships across assigned portfolio of largely UK supporters with first class stewardship and reporting to secure renewals and uplifts of approximately £1m per annum.
• Develop the pipeline of new donors through effective prospect research, network mapping and connecting with new contacts at external and internal events as a representative of ClientEarth
• Support the Philanthropy Manager, Philanthropy Lead for Europe and all the Philanthropy team to create the conditions for success in the European Philanthropy Team. Collaborating with colleagues across Europe inclusively to achieve shared goals, strengthen processes and model ClientEarth’s core values of courage, collaboration, integrity and care
• Keep up to date with fundraising trends and ensure these are worked into internal activities and planning

The Role:
 
As a Data Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Data Manager by ensuring their supporter and contact database (Raiser’s Edge) is effectively maintained and up to date. You will assist the wider Development team with reports and queries, help manage fundraising data and ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor information. 
 
Main responsibilities:
 
Assist in the daily management of the Raiser’s Edge database, ensuring data accuracy through regular audits.  Imports and exports of data.  Provide training and advice to colleagues on database access and usage, ensuring compliance with best practices.  Reconcile and process donations from various sources, including BACS, credit cards, and online platforms.  Run direct debit and gift aid claims, ensuring valid documentation is maintained. Provide key data and segmentation for fundraising appeals and emails, working closely with the communications team.
 
Essential requirements:

• Experience in CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge) and proficiency in MS Excel
• Demonstrable experience supporting charities and fundraising teams in a data role
• Confident working with large datasets
• Solid understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality
• Excellent communicator, a team player, and have a keen eye for detail
• Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise daily tasks and manage deadlines

Summary and key purpose
 
This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.
 
Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.
 
A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.
 
Your expertise and skills:
 
To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
• Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.
• Manage our newly appointed fundraising agency, and in doing so, help deliver an ambitious appeal programme and income target.

• Work with colleagues to monitor levels of affinity and engagement amongst prospects, enquirers and pledgers, using insights to improve the Gifts in Wills supporter experience.

• Work with colleagues in the Marketing Team to develop a Gifts in Wills proposition and marketing plans to acquire new supporters and build the legacy pipeline.

Management and Legacy Administration

We are working in partnership with Veterans Outreach Support (VOS), a well-known, award-winning, UK registered charity that supports those who have served our nation, in the Armed Forces and Merchant Navy, through the provision of welcoming and relaxed settings where UK veterans and family members can access welfare, wellbeing, and mental health support. VOS is now seeking a Head of Operations, who will directly support the Chief Executive by taking responsibility for the day-to-day operations of VOS, working in close cooperation with the Head of Care (Deputy CEO). In addition to managing the Operations Department, as well as overseeing business administration and people issues, the non-clinical, business-related contracts, the post-holder will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance, financial planning (with the VOS Finance Manager), and external relations, with delivery partners and other stakeholders, where they will also have representational duties, acting as lead for CRM implementation Health & Safety, and is the VOS Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

What you'll do:

Behaviour Analysis:

- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour.
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour.
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes.
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community.
- You exhibit a concrete basis in behavioural analysis.
- You will have ability and skill to present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting.
- Reports possible cases of abuse, neglect, or endangerment appropriately.
- Actively participates in the reviewing and the designing behavioural interventions plans.
- Implements behaviour support plans.
- Measures goals and objectives of behaviour support plans to ensure they are being met.
- Communicates with parents and care managers regarding customer's progress in the absence of management.

Other Responsibilities:

- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate.
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation.
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker.
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises.
- Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift.
- Enable customers to make full use of community facilities by providing support as directed.
- Carry out support duties to enable customers to integrate into the community including e.g., accompanying the customer to attend benefit agency appointments and meetings, go shopping, to enquire at colleges about possible courses, to visit various public amenities.
- Report any observations relating to customers welfare.
- Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care, Support & Housing plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.
- Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are always adhered to.
- Maintain records as required at the project under the direction of the support workers / management.
- Participate in team meetings/reviews and the general development of the service.
- Maintain records in accordance with Look Ahead's Information Management policies, procedures and guidance under the direction of the Support Worker's manager(s). Keep a clear desk at all times and assist with archiving and secure disposal of records when required.
- Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned.

We are looking for a Funding Officer to join the enthusiastic, friendly Liverpool City Region team in the North West Region, primarily focussed on North Liverpool. 

This opportunity is a fixed term contract starting September 2025 for 14 months (November 2026)

You will play a major role in ensuring our funding supports a wide variety of communities and places across North Liverpool, Liverpool City Region and the North West region.

As a member of the funding team you will assess applications for funding and manage grants from our Reaching Communities and Partnerships programmes. You will use your local knowledge and experience, and the experience of our grant holders and local stakeholders, to ensure we are making the best decisions on the grants we make. By working closely with people and communities from a defined geographical area, you will understand what matters to them and where our funding can make the biggest difference.

In your role you will work within the Fund’s policies and procedures and the necessary legislation, in line with our vision and principles. You will gain an understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity and inclusion and our funding programmes. 

The role is varied and will require you to: 

• Be responsible for your own caseload: visiting projects, liaising with grant recipients, identify and manage risks and supporting organisations to delivery their projects and measure their impact.
• Understand and respond to the different needs of our applicants and grant holders by providing advice and feedback and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations.
• Represent the Fund within your local area, at funding fairs and external meetings and create opportunities for people to come together.
• Share learning from your conversations, events, grant holder reports and evaluations to support the Fund in maximising our impact as a grant maker. 

Working from home, and community locations, with occasional travel to Manchester and elsewhere in the North West. The successful candidate will live in Liverpool City Region and will be part of the local team, led by a Funding Manager, and comprised of several other Funding Officers. Travel across the region will be required.
