The service offers specialist support to homeless men across a range of areas including re-offending behaviour, mental health issues, physical health needs and substance misuse. Edward Alsop Court implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.
As a maintenance worker, you will be responsible for small responsive/maintenance items (for example replacement of bulbs, batteries, tightening of screws etc) to internal elements and components; PAT test items; internal decorations; cleaning of communal spaces; removal of minor items; fixture and fittings such as shower curtains, mirrors, bathroom fittings (toilet seats, toilet rolls holders etc); assembly furniture; bins removal; there will be a weekly rota with tasks allocated to each day which will be given weekly; support with shopping deliveries.

The working hours for this role is: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

What you'll do:
* Carry out weekly checks (water checks, fire call points check, fire doors check, lint removal from laundry room, emergency lights check, fire extinguishers check, communal areas check, courtyard cleaning, fire escapes check).
* Supporting contractors attending the site for furniture deliveries and any maintenance issue
* Adhere to Look Ahead' Policies and Procedures
* Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned
* Attend team meetings once a month

The Royal School of Needlework (RSN) is the International Centre of Excellence for the Art of Hand Embroidery. Based at the historic Hampton Court Palace, we have been dedicated to preserving and innovating in the art of hand embroidery since 1872. Position Summary:

The Philanthropy Manager will have a strategic role in increasing funding for RSN’s mission, educational programmes and Fragile Threads programme, individual giving, legacy giving and stewarding events.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser, who is a pro-active and results-driven individual. You will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with experience of face-to-face fundraising, excited by the opportunity to play a key part in the transformation of the RSN. You will use your experience to refine, refresh and grow our established giving circles.

You will have experience in major gifts fundraising, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches and proposals for five and six-figure gifts. You will be good communicator with experience of building and managing successful relationships with donors, senior stakeholders and colleagues at all levels. The Philanthropy Manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with existing and potential donors and overseeing the stewardship of key donors.

About the role 

Interpreters will mainly work with our Resettlement team in Wakefield. Our Resettlement team supports newly recognised refugees to settle in the UK.

The project requires interpreters to facilitate communication between clients and Resettlement workers and other professionals by providing consistent, effective, and high-quality interpreting in a neutral and impartial manner.

Face-to-face sessions may take place at various locations, including at community venues, health, educational, or home settings. Remote sessions may take place on the phone or video call.

We are looking for interpreters with a high level of English as well as Somali.

The Refugee Council engages interpreters to work on a sessional basis. This means that, if appointed, you will be added to our constantly updated list of approved sessional interpreters. Refugee Council workers consult this list and contact individual interpreters to offer them sessions. Some sessions will take place immediately whilst others may be booked in advance. Inclusion on the list is not a guarantee that you will be offered work and your involvement will be based on the needs of the project.

Interpreters are required to complete a timesheet each month for payments to be processed.

The following rates apply to interpreting work:

Face-to-Face interpreting work:

• First hour or part hour: £20.00
• After first hour, each 15 minutes or part: £4.50
• Travel time, each 15 minutes or part: £2.50

Telephone/video interpreting work:

• First 10 minutes or part: £5.00
• After first 10 minutes: £0.25 per minute

Purpose of the post

HDR UK are committed to meaningful involvement and engagement where patients and the public are actively involved in shaping our work and decision-making. Reporting to the Senior Public Involvement and Engagement Manager and matrix managed within the Big Data for Complex Disease team, this is a pivotal role that will maintain and build upon an established strategy and programme of activities embedding the patient and public voice at all stages of work with the Driver Programme.

Your work will also support best practice delivered as part of the Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI), a vital UK-wide multi-stakeholder initiative that aims to facilitate a sector wide shift focused on establishing and advancing good practices for public involvement and engagement (PIE) with data-driven research and statistics.

You will work closely with public members, research and NHS communities, internal colleagues, charity partners, and funders to develop and implement plans for patient and public involvement and engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for meaningful involvement and engagement of patients and the public in research, to shape and influence our work on the safe, ethical and scientifically robust use of data for research into the causes, prevention and treatment of disease.

The successful candidate will have a track record in working with individuals, groups and communities and can communicate complex information in clear, engaging ways. The post holder will have excellent influencing and negotiation skills, experience of working on complex projects with multiple partners and be comfortable with working at pace.  Patient and public involvement and engagement in data-driven research is a growing field. The successful candidate will show a willingness and experience of developing and delivering innovative approaches to involvement where previously opportunities may not have been obvious.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of working with diverse communities and using trauma-informed practices to engage with those having lived experience of a variety of health conditions.

Main responsibilities

Big Data for Complex Disease PPIE strategy and delivery:

• Lead on the delivery of the PPIE strategy for the Big Data for Complex Disease driver programme, with oversight from the Senior PPIE Manager and Senior Programme Manager.
• Develop and deliver training and support best practice for researchers working with patients and the public on involvement and engagment in health data research.
• Support member development and growth of the network of patients and public contributors involved in the Big Data for Complex Disease driver programme, including by providing training and guidance on data science and its use in the programme.

Embedding PPIE in our work:

• Lead and facilitate meetings with public contributors to integrate meaningful PPIE throughout all aspects of our work.
• Undertake and manage specific involvement and engagement activities, including but not limited to focus groups, engagement events, developing and undertaking surveys, supporting the writing of plain English summaries of projects and their outputs. In collaboration with senior colleagues, support involvement of patients and the public in the governance of our work.
• Review and provide advice on PPIE elements of research projects ensuring adequate PPIE is incorporated and provide advice and support where needed to researchers. 
• Develop methods to expand reach and ensure diversity of perspectives and work with the HDR UK Involvement and Engagement team to grow involvement of currently underrepresented and underserved groups in health data science.
• Build and manage relationships with colleagues within the Big Data for Complex Disease driver programme and relevant partners like the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Data Science Centre, working collaboratively to support and manage involvement and engagement across all areas of work.
• Work closely with the internal communications colleagues to create and disseminate engaging content (e.g. news stories on outputs and impact, videos, infographics, case studies) on our work and involvement and engagement activities using a variety of communication tools.
• Horizon scan and liaise with colleagues across HDR UK for opportunities to increase visibility of the institute’s engagement and involvement impact, i.e. through conferences, festivals, journals and other publications.
• Lead on the recruitment of new public contributors as required. Adapt, develop and provide training for public where necessary identifying training requirements as needed.

Developing PPIE best practice and collaborative working:

• Work with the Senior PPIE Programme Delivery Manager and the rest of the PPIE Central team to share best practice and examples of successful PPIE practices that could influence our work, including through the Public Engagement in Data Research Initiative (PEDRI).
• Collaborate with the Senior PPIE Programme Delivery Manager, the PPIE Central team, and the HDR UK’s Institute-Wide PPIE Leads Group to lead public outreach initiatives and other events, ensuring that stakeholders are afforded opportunities to contribute their input and provide feedback. Establish effective working relationships and ‘ways of working’ with strategic partners to maximise opportunities for collaboration in patient and public involvement and engagement.
• Act as an internal and external ambassador for public, patient and practitioner engagement and involvement.
• Monitor and report on performance of PPIE across the Programme, make effective use of digital approaches to maximise the ability to collaborate, communicate and continuously learn.

Knowledge, skills and experience

Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of working with patients, carers and members of the public with diverse interests.

• Experience of running patient/public involvement activities

The charity is now seeking its first Development Manager to play a pivotal role within this small but ambitious organisation to support with its celebratory anniversary event and longer-term goals. About the Role

The is a fantastic opportunity to join a a small and friendly Human Resources team, where you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service across the organisation. You'll be supporting 250 passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers, who provide rehabilitation to survivors of torture and campaign for their rights in the UK.

You will support the HR team in delivering a comprehensive and efficient Human Resources service. As the first point of contact for HR and recruitment-related administrative queries, you'll gain valuable exposure to all aspects of the HR function and the full employee lifecycle.

About You

You will be an experienced Administrator with a strong track record of supporting busy teams. This role offers the opportunity to either deepen your existing HR experience or begin an exciting new career in Human Resources.

You will bring outstanding customer service skills along with strong written and verbal communication . Highly organised and detail-orientated, you have a strong work ethic and a thorough approach to meeting multiple deadlines. About this key role

Your role will be to provide young person centred holistic support – including everything from helping clients to understand their own behaviour and its consequences, and promoting change, to helping clients’ families to support them and providing practical help with attending appointments, education, training and employment options, housing, benefits, debt and other aspects of day-to-day living. 

Working flexibly within the community and within identified office spaces within London (opportunities for home working will be minimal within this role), you’ll be building effective and engaging relationships with young people involved in or at risk of being involved in the criminal justice system, with the aim of improving their life chances. You’ll conduct robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, and ensure that all young people work towards an agreed support plan which is regularly reviewed and adapted. You’ll also build effective relationships with agencies providing services to the client group, and enable clients to engage in positive activity within the community (e.g. boxing, football, etc).

What we are looking for

• Significant experience of working with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults and delivering interventions that have had a positive impact – preferably in a health and wellbeing context and/or on an offender led support project.

• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy, with the ability to assess clients’ needs. 

• Extensive experience of managing complex safeguarding issues with children, young people and adults who are at risk of violence or exploitation, whilst working alone.

• Understanding of the physical, social, emotional and developmental needs of children and young people, their specific needs as they transition to legal adulthood, and the issues they face, e.g. exploitation, victimisation, offending, school exclusion, unemployment, trauma.

• Extensive knowledge of the impact of context – with a clear understanding of best practice around contextual safeguarding and those experiencing harm outside the home.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice in the context of working with children, young people and parents/carers impacted by violence and exploitation, and of how trauma –including from their own lives – can impact on how practitioners manage cases.

• Working knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation/policy, with experience of providing support, advice and advocacy to staff with a safeguarding responsibility.

• Understanding of the importance of good quality case recording quality assurance principles. 

• Ability to use electronic case management systems to record all aspects of the role, including action plans, outcomes and session data on a day-to-day basis.

• Recognition of the importance of resilience in coping with the emotional demands of the role and demonstrable experience of managing your own wellbeing.

• Relevant qualification to a good standard or equivalent experience – ideally with relevant accredited training such as safeguarding, counselling or mental health first aid.

This role will lead on the development and design of campaign mobilisation approaches that drive up support and action from the UK public, particularly among younger people, and ensure ongoing public engagement with our advocacy goals.

This role will also support the Head of Campaigns in the development and delivery of the Foundation’s overarching campaigning strategy, including stakeholder engagement and coalition building, with the aim of driving change in partnership with businesses, government, civil society, and other decision-makers in order to achieve trade justice

You’ll need to be an excellent relationship builder and passionate advocate with experience in campaign management, public engagement, and building public mobilisation approaches. You will also need to be able to quickly adapt and respond to changing political and public landscapes, have strong creative, strategic thinking and evaluation skills and experience of managing and using campaigning software platforms such as Engaging Networks to drive engagement. If you have experience of event management, working with ambassadors and a background in the global development or sustainability sectors that’s great, but it’s not essential.

Focusing on Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Corporates, this role will lead the relationship mapping, building, and the fundraising ask. It will convey the unique offering Cumberland Lodge can bring to potential donors and work towards multimillion pound income levels to ensure the growth of the charity's educational programme delivery and activity. This role line manages one staff member and has direct support from the CEO to achieve income generation growth.  A key opportunity is the upcoming 80 th anniversary of the Educational Foundation in 2027.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence extensive high value fundraising experience, with notable examples of successfully securing six and seven-figure gifts from major donors and corporates.

This person will have proven experience of creating and leading successful philanthropy fundraising strategy to achieve income and engagement growth of a multimillion-pound level. They will also be an experienced senior leader and ideally have knowledge of the education, youth, social impact, and social values sectors. They will champion an inclusive culture and align with Cumberland Lodge's mission and values.

About the role:

As Property Manager & Estate Administrator you will help the Trust uphold the highest standards of property management. Reporting directly to the Head of Estate Management, you will oversee the management of half of the Trust's direct let residential property portfolio of around 160 homes. This important role ensures operational efficiency within the portfolio, fostering positive tenant relationships, while contributing directly to the Trust's charitable work.
