As Community Mission Facilitator you will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of spiritual programmes and outreach within the local community to fulfil the aims of Newtown's Mission Development Plan.
You will plan, design and implement spiritual programmes and initiatives to support the successful delivery of our mission. Through developing effective working relationships and establishing links within the community, you will ensure the effective delivery of programmes and activities to support and engage with the community.
Successful candidate will have:
- The ability and willingness to support the fulfilment of the spiritual aims of the programme, showing compassion and understanding to all programme participants and be willing to support an individual’s spiritual needs
- The ability and willingness to lead and/or participate in worship, provide pastoral care and bring people in the local community into a living faith with Jesus
- Strong previous experience and up to date knowledge of developing and implementing successful community spiritual programmes for a diverse range of participants
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, programme participants and external stakeholders
- Demonstrable ability to use your initiative, plan, organise and prioritise your tasks to effectively meet your objectives to the expected quality standards and time scales with minimal supervision
