Job description

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is pleased to partner with a respected charity to recruit a part-time Interim Supporter Care Officer. This role involves delivering exceptional supporter stewardship, maintaining accurate supporter data, and fostering positive relationships with donors to enhance engagement and contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the front-line contact for supporters, handling calls, emails, and letters with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain accurate supporter records within the donor database, ensuring GDPR compliance and confidentiality.
  • Prepare and send timely thank you communications and process various donation mechanisms, including direct debits, standing orders, and Gift Aid.
  • Generate reports on donation activities and supporter engagement to inform stewardship strategies.
  • Support mailing campaigns, event invitations, and follow-up communications with attention to detail.
  • Process donations securely, reconcile accounts, and support financial administrative tasks in line with organisational procedures.
  • Participate in fundraising events, providing support and ensuring supporter satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance supporter experience and refine database procedures.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as mail processing, stock management, and assisting with audits.


Person Specification:

  • Experience in supporter or customer care within a charity or similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT tools; experience with donor databases like Donorfy is advantageous.
  • Attentive to detail with accuracy in data handling and financial processing.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a professional and compassionate approach.
  • Comfortable working on-site in central London, with flexibility for hybrid working.
  • Ability to juggle a demanding workload and adapt to changing priorities.
