Job description

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with their client on a fantastic Virtual Fundraising Officer role. This position focuses on managing online fundraising initiatives and virtual events to support the organisation’s mission, creating engaging digital experiences that inspire participation and generate income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, setup, and delivery of virtual challenge events, ensuring seamless participant experiences.
  • Manage multiple virtual events annually from initial concept through to evaluation, tracking KPIs and implementing improvements.
  • Develop and maintain engaging digital content across social media and digital channels, fostering a vibrant online supporter community.
  • Provide excellent supporter care through social media groups, email journeys, and other digital communication channels.
  • Respond to fundraising queries promptly, coordinate the delivery of supporter recognition materials, and manage digital supporter journeys.
  • Collaborate on digital marketing strategies, analysing campaign performance and supporting content creation to optimise engagement.
  • Build and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, volunteers, and internal teams to maximise fundraising efforts and supporter satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate data records and oversee administrative tasks including invoicing and expenditure tracking.
  • Continuously monitor sector trends, sharing insights, and applying innovative ideas to keep activities current and effective.


Person Specification:

  • Proven experience managing virtual or digital fundraising events within a charity or similar sector.
  • Strong understanding of digital fundraising, online communities, and social media marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for compelling copywriting.
  • Skilled in social media management with knowledge of ad-building and group moderation preferred.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently within a home-based setting.
  • Confident in managing multiple tasks and responsive to supporter needs with empathy and professionalism.
  • Familiar with data management, CRM systems, and adhering to fundraising best practices.
