Interim Senior Trusts and Foundations Lead

We have another exciting role with the growing the team at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People for an Interim Senior Trusts and Foundations Lead - 6 month contract. You will be developing tailored high value engagement strategies, creating compelling giving opportunities and leading the solicitation of significant gifts.

Location: Buckinghamshire, East Yorkshire, hybrid or home-based, with regular UK travel.

The charity:
At Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, we're on a mission: to rebuild connection, companionship and confidence through trained hearing dogs and our practical and emotional support services, transforming the lives of people who are deaf or have hearing loss.

The role:
The team have had a lot of growth over the last 18 months and they are investing into the team, this interim role is to support to develop high value opportunities and offer strategic guidance for the six figure applications.

You will support the Head of Trusts and Foundations and wider team to achieve annual targets, with a focus on six and seven figure prospects.

Create and deliver high-quality applications for grant funding and develop strategies for unlocking relationships and funding from family foundations, charitable trusts, and international funders.

Develop relationships with key influencers connected with target funders, working closely with the Prospect Research Manager to identify key networks and connections.

The candidate:
Proven track record of securing significant philanthropic gifts, ideally at six-figure level or above, from trusts and foundations or philanthropic individuals.

Demonstrable experience of new donor acquisition and building high-value fundraising pipelines, including developing relationships with previously unengaged prospects through to successful solicitation.

A proactive, commercially minded approach to fundraising, with the confidence, resilience and initiative to open doors, create opportunities and build lasting donor relationships.

Experience developing tailored cultivation strategies and compelling trust and foundation cases for support aligned with donor motivations and organisational priorities.
