The South East London Suicide Bereavement Service is a collaboration between South East London Mind, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Mind in Bexley. The service provides vital emotional and practical support to adults and young people who have lost a loved one to suicide. You will be joining a supportive team who share a passion for working with people during some of the most difficult experiences of their lives.

We are looking for a compassionate, reflective and resilient individual to fill the key role of Suicide Bereavement Support Worker. Your primary responsibilities will be to deliver one-to-one emotional and practical support and co-facilitate occasional bereavement support groups. This role involves building relationships with people from all walks of life and managing your own caseload. You will have ownership over your work, while being supported through regular supervision and reflective practice.

With experience providing emotional support, including to those who have experienced bereavement, you will be an excellent communicator with good assessment and support planning skills. You will also be highly organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload. The ability to adapt your approach to a wide variety of people, ensuring that support is inclusive and sensitive to service users’ cultural and religious backgrounds, is essential. This role involves meeting clients in the community, including carrying out home visits. Although it is possible to fulfil the travel requirements of the role by public transport, this would best suit someone with access to their own mode of transport, such as a car or bicycle.

We encourage applications from people with lived experience of bereavement by suicide, although this is not a requirement for the role.

Bromley Mental Health Hub forms part of the community transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long-Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

We are looking for a Mental Health Advisor with experience of working within mental health services, including to support prevention, recovery and self-management. The School of Law seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Welfare Rights / Social Justice who will manage the development and delivery of high-quality social change legal education in the School of Law for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The successful candidate will ensure the effective set up and day-to-day management of a welfare rights clinic in the Glasgow Open Justice Centre, supervise students working on legal casework and will enhance the student experience by working collaboratively with academic and professional services staff to embed wide ranging experiential learning opportunities in all degree programmes.

Chronic Granulomatous Disorder (CGD) is a rare, life-limiting immune disorder, where children and adults get frequent bacterial and fungal infections, which can be serious and life-threatening.

The CGD Society is the primary resource for individuals facing a CGD diagnosis, offering essential information and support to families throughout their CGD journey. Our organisation is led by our dedicated and inspiring Executive Director who works tirelessly alongside our CGD Clinical nurse specialist, who is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Key responsibilities

Community Fundraising 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to increase income through regular giving, donations, campaigns, legacy giving, corporate partnerships, and other fundraising initiatives. 

• Promote participation in major sporting and challenge events. 

• Provide supporters with the necessary materials and motivation to maximize their fundraising efforts for the CGD Society.

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our successful team to help manage our charity shop in Old Swan.

The Assistant Shop Manager will be an integral part of the wider Charity team. 

Main Duties/Tasks:

You will be pivotal in assisting the Shop Manager in leading and empowering a team of volunteers to engage with the local community, maximising the contribution of gifts of time from volunteers, the gifts of products from our donors and the gift of income from our customers. Income generation

About The Felix Project 

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis.  We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people.This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals.

The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots.

Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day.

You will also manage and support our HR administration systems and will act as first point of contact for day-to-day staff issues. Job Description

Post Title: Young Women’s Worker
Location: The post will be based primarily at Kings College Hospital. However, all
Redthread team members must have a flexible approach to supporting other
sites across London when needed. There will be a need for regular visits to
Redthread’s main offices and other projects and activities that take place at
various locations across London and the UK.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The nature of Redthread’s work means that regular
evening and weekend working is required. You will be required to work shifts
to ensure that the team covers from 7:30 am to 9 pm each day between
them.

Salary: £29.767,50 per annum + benefits
Contract type: 12-month Fixed Term, with the possibility of extension.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mind in the City Hackney and Waltham Forest. Mind CHWF has recently won a contract for the provision of two Wellbeing Cafés in the borough, with one of the cafés being for women only. The Wellbeing Cafes are places where people can get involved in creative and wellbeing activities, learn new skills, increase levels of self-esteem, confidence, social contacts and get connected to wider community resources in the borough. Each café will be open for 40 weeks a year. Between 10-15 people will attend each cafe for 3 hours a week, over 4 terms of 10 weeks.

 Operational & Strategic Manager

To lead the operational and strategic management of the service covering tenancy services, repairs, cleaning, grounds maintenance and other estate services. 

To ensure the proper governance of the organisation and to lead in a manner that supports and guides the organisation’s mission as defined by the Board of Management.
