The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the parish office and will be the first point of contact for all those wishing to access any business of the Parish. 

This position requires proficiency in various clerical tasks, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

• • To be the friendly welcoming face of the church

  • Oversee hall bookings and liaise with hirers

The role

We’re all driven, and you’ll need to be too - this is a fast-paced, ambitious environment with lots of learning and change.

We’re looking for a strategic, creative Head of Fundraising to lead our next phase of growth.

Your first focus will be stewarding our 3,000 fundraisers - overseeing segmented email journeys, managing a £40k prizing fund, and improving supporter care through deeper, more personal touchpoints. That might mean calls, events, or just finding ways to help people feel more connected to their impact.

Beyond that, you'll help us develop and test new income streams - from matched giving and regular giving, to sponsorships, repeat fundraising, and post-event conversion. You'll also play a key role in evolving our Challenge Events portfolio across in-person, virtual, and blended formats.

This role requires someone with a strong track record in fundraising growth, a test-and-learn mindset, and the ambition to build something big.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategy Development and Implementation

Trusts and Foundations

• Working closely with our Head of Programmes to oversee our bids process, working with specialists and utilising learnings from previous years.
• Deepen strong relationships with grant-making bodies and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Corporate Partnerships

• Manage and develop corporate partnerships and event sponsorships. 
• Develop tailored proposals and pitches to attract corporate support.

Team Leadership

• Lead, inspire, and manage a small fundraising team, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members for both fundraising and marketing.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Track and report on fundraising performance against targets.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Leadership Team. 

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in a senior fundraising role.
• Proven experience working on fundraising events and event fundraising.
• Demonstrable success in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
• Strong track record of securing major gifts, grant funding and/or corporate partnerships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience in digital fundraising and leveraging social media platforms.

Are you an organised person with an eye for detail and process?  We are recruiting a Finance Administrator to support the smooth and accurate financial operations of the charity, ensuring all transactions are recorded and processed in a timely manner.  You will be part of a friendly team, based in the historic Cathedral offices, working together to ensure that the Cathedral’s resources are managed efficiently and transparently.  The role will be varied and will include working with volunteers to undertaken weekly cash accounting operations; raising sale invoices; posting and reconciling supplier invoices and payments; undertaking weekly bank reconciliations; and maintaining Gift Aid records.

JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR (UK4U), the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for a Prospect Research Manager to join its Partnerships and Philanthropy Team (PPH). This role will play a key part in continuing to build our UHNWI, HNWI, Trust and Foundation and Corporate pipelines, by working closely with fundraising colleagues as well as UNHCR internationally.  
 

This role reports to the Head of Philanthropy and manages the Prospect Research Officer. The post holder will identify research, organise and evaluate a prospect’s financial capacity, ability to give, willingness to give, charitable interests, and connection to the organisation, operating within the organisation’s due diligence process. The post holder will work closely with senior stakeholders within PPH to help drive each area’s strategy and the overall team objectives.
 

The role manages UK for UNHCR’s due diligence process from renewing due diligence on existing pipelines, to completing new due diligence profiles utilising key due diligence tools and platforms, working with the PPH team, SMT and UNHCR’s global due diligence team.
 

Passionate about the refugee cause and UNHCR’s contribution, you will have demonstrable experience of successfully identifying prospects as well as preparing and presenting in depth prospect briefs for across the high value fundraising pipeline from UHNW and HNW individuals, Trusts & Foundations and corporates.  You will be familiar with using a variety of information sources, of complying with GDPR and other regulations and working with a CRM database.  Donor focussed and a problem solver, you will with have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be someone who enjoys working as part of a team.

Role Responsibilities 

• Collaborate with the Head of Philanthropy and Senior Stakeholders within PPH, to build upon the overarching strategy for the prospect research function, to deliver a strong and sustainable prospect pipeline
• Using a broad spectrum of sources, identify, research, organise and evaluate a prospect’s financial capacity, ability to give, willingness to give, charitable interests, and connection to the organisation. Support fundraising staff in prioritising prospects and building pipelines.
• Lead meetings with senior stakeholders (CEO and Fundraising Heads) to discuss new prospects and the current HNWI portfolio and Corporate pipeline.
• Keep up to date on research and due diligence trends including identifying ways to improve risk research, due diligence and market insight.
• Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and processes, maintaining a system to enable the organisation to track due diligence carried out, ensuring compliance with all regulatory best practice standards.
• Track and manage prospect research KPIS using power BI.
• Produce in-depth, well-written reports on prospects based on a combination of data from the donor database, open access records and other markers of high-quality donors.
• Managing and coaching an officer level prospect research role, overseeing their work on key projects and developing their skills.
• Embed best practice use of the database within the team, developing tools to analyse and review our prospect pool and how prospects are moved through the pipeline.
• Implement new research techniques as they arise, striving to design a high quality and efficient prospect research methodology.
• Carry regular pipeline reviews to ensure pipelines remain dynamic and fit for purpose.

Personal Attributes and Experience

Essential Experience

• Experience of providing strategically aligned research to help identify and prioritise prospects capable of offering significant financial and/or other support. 
• Experience of profiling, network mapping, prospect qualification and other intelligence gathering activities.
• Experience of working with colleagues in Individual Giving as well as with major donor and corporate fundraisers to optimise use of a CRM database to identify potential prospects.
• Experience managing, coaching, motivating and supporting more junior members of the team.
• Experience carrying out due diligence.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and working within GDPR policies.
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders (CEO and Trustees and fundraising board members) to identify key prospects within their networks and offering recommendations on next steps and areas of UNHCR’s work that may be of interest to prospects.
• Experience of working on fundraising databases.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will lead on financial matters and be expected to provide critical financial information, insightful analysis and timely reporting to facilitate the growth of the Charity.

The role is standalone but working within a closeknit team. It with therefore have a degree of autonomy but will be expected to contribute to the wider development of the Charity. This is a pivotal appointment within the Charity and will provide some broad exposure to the Board and Investment Committee.

We are therefore seeking a dynamic qualified accountant who has had wide exposure to financial reporting and processes, preferably within a fundraising Charity. Being a financial ‘all rounder’, there is a real opportunity to contribute to the way the Charity operates by instilling sound financial operations and providing meaningful financial reporting. The role provides an opportunity to lead the finance function and will suit a progressive accountant looking for this kind of responsibility.

We would therefore be looking for an individual that has demonstrable experience in operating financial functions and has the personality to fit within a charity that works collaboratively. 

About Bright Futures UK

Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. We offer online one-to-one tutoring, befriending, and mentoring programmes, as well as group programmes including hospital workshops, industry events, and advocacy actions initiatives. Working in close partnership with hospitals, families, and other services, we ensure that children and young people experiencing health-related challenges are not left behind.

Role Overview

This is a key role in the delivery of our online personalised programme. The Coordinator will oversee the children and young people referral pathway, acting as the first point of contact for new referrals and guiding children, young people, and their families, educators, or hospital contacts through every stage of the onboarding process.

You will be responsible for gathering detailed and sensitive information about each young person’s health, education, and wellbeing, to ensure the support they receive is tailored, appropriate, and trauma-informed. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records is a central part of this role. You will also line manage the Personalised Programme Coordinators, work closely with the wider Programme and Volunteer Teams, and play a key role in external outreach and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Referral and Programme Oversight

• Act as the lead contact for all incoming referrals, including those from hospitals, statutory services, community organisations, and families
• Hold safe, compassionate, and confidential conversations with CYPs to understand their needs and gather relevant information around education, physical health, and mental wellbeing
• Ensure all referral documentation, risk assessments, consent forms, and safeguarding procedures are completed to a high standard and in line with organisational policy
• Maintain strong working relationships with referral partners, providing updates and sharing appropriate feedback
• Oversee the matching of referred CYP to suitable volunteers in collaboration with the Volunteer Senior Coordinator
• Monitor programme delivery through regular check-ins with Personalised Programme Coordinators to provide support and identify emerging risks or additional needs
• Liaise with internal colleagues to escalate safeguarding concerns and ensure support plans remain up to date
• Contribute to the development of our personalised support model, helping us adapt and evolve our offer based on the needs of our community

Team Management and Coordination

• Provide day-to-day line management and supervision to the Personalised Programme Coordinators
• Delegate tasks effectively and oversee the coordination of team workloads and timelines

Stakeholder Engagement and Promotion

• Promote Bright Futures UK’s personalised programme offer to relevant professionals and services
• Represent the organisation at external meetings, events, and forums
• Work with the Communications Team to ensure referral resources and information materials are accessible, clear, and up to date

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Administration

• Maintain accurate records using our CRM systems (Better Impact and Asana), ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding standards
• Support ongoing monitoring and evaluation through data collection and feedback

Person Specification

Essential:

· Demonstrated ability to hold sensitive conversations in a trauma-informed, empathetic and professional way

· Knowledge of the education or healthcare systems affecting children and young people

· Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

· High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records

· Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and ethical practice

· Proficiency in using digital systems and confidence in learning new tools (e.g. Better Impact, Asana, Canva)

Desirable:

· Experience working with or supporting children and young people with complex needs, including health, SEND or mental health challenges

· Experience working in a charity, school, hospital or youth work setting

· Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and inclusive practice

· Experience supporting or supervising team members

· Mental Health First Aid

The Healthy Ageing Project will address specific challenges within the community, while actively promoting healthy ageing in practical and effective ways across our network.

We will focus on the strengths and expertise of our member groups to promote engagement with Ireland's unique music, dance, sport, language and culture.

We will work together with our members throughout this three-year journey. Together, we will develop, launch and promote a project geared towards improving health and wellbeing, reducing health inequality and providing strategic direction for national health programmes and policy recommendations for the Irish community.

Trainee Generalist Advice Caseworker

Salary NJC Scale 5 - £31,734 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a trained Gateway Assessor to be fast tracked through the full Citizens Advice Generalist Adviser training programme. Once having completed an initial four weeks training period you will be allocated to work on one of a range of different projects and services providing direct advice to the public and undertaking casework on social welfare law issues.
