Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity dedicated to diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and cure. The Data and CRM Team require a Scrum Master to join the team who will be responsible for managing the sprint cycles for the Salesforce Development team and Business Intelligence team.  Following the launch of Salesforce as ARUK’s new CRM system in December 2023, the team have adopted Scrum methodology, and the Scrum Master will be required to continue to embed this new way of working in the team.

The Scrum Master will have a strategic role to play in understanding the organisational priorities and how this influences the work of the Data and CRM Team.  You will be required to work across teams and at all levels of the organisation, with communication a core part of this role.  You will also be required to provide project management support to key initiatives in the Data and CRM Team.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Facilitate the Salesforce Development team and Business Intelligence team’s fortnightly sprints.

· Manage the sprint meetings, ensuring outcomes are always clear and blockers are identified at the earliest opportunity.

· Work with the sprint teams and internal stakeholders to ensure the backlog is maintained, priorities for upcoming sprints are identified, tasks are sized, and the sprint workload is realistic.

· Responsible for ensuring blockers are identified and working with the relevant stakeholders to eliminate them.

· Facilitate discussions between teams where there are conflicting priorities or new priorities emerge that require re-prioritising the sprint backlog.

· Ensure there is an excellent communication strategy in place, so all key stakeholder groups are fully informed of the prioritisation process, progress during sprints and what has been delivered each sprint.

· Coach the Data and CRM Team in Agile Scrum principles and practices and guide the team to a higher scrum maturity.

· Train new starters in the Data and CRM Team and key internal stakeholders in the ARUK approach to Scrum delivery.

· Provide project management support for the Data and CRM Team on internal team projects that fall outside of the sprint work.

 

What we are looking for:

· Experience of facilitating work through sprint cycles as a Scrum Master.

· Excellent knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices.

· Demonstrable ability to work with and influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

· Excellent communication skills, particularly when communicating technical developments to non-technical audiences.

· Working knowledge of project management tools, ideally Jira.

· Excellent communication skills, with an ability to build relationships, trust and inspire confidence at all levels.

· Strong team player who can work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.

· Excellent planning and organisational skills, and able to manage a varied workload.

· Able to adapt to changing priorities and flexible in approach to managing work.

· Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

· Mentoring / coaching experience.

· Demonstrates a proactive and pragmatic approach to investigating and solving problems, striving for continuous improvement and identifying creative solutions.

· Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

We are looking for an additional support worker with lived experience of self-harm to join our existing team working with people who have attended A&E for self-harm treatment. This role has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of self-harm. Self-harm can take many forms but for the purposes of this role we mean things which someone has done to themselves with the clear intention of causing harm.

This role is not about sharing personal stories of self-harm, but some exploration of your experiences will be part of the interview and training process. All questions will be provided in advance of the interview and training will be run in a small, closed group. Both the interviews and training will be facilitated by people who have used their self-harm experiences in their working lives.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Support the day to day running of the Lived Experience Service by:

• Offering tailored follow up support to people of all communities and genders who have attended A&E for self-harm treatment including face to face or video chat meetings, researching community support and guidance in finding and using self- help resources based on the principles of mutual experience, empathy and holistic support;
• Where appropriate sharing ideas about ways of achieving goals, drawing on personal experiences and assisting people to decide what they want to achieve based on their circumstances and personal resources;
• Administrative tasks including researching and updating service resources and maintaining accurate client records in line with organisational confidentiality, data protection and safeguarding policies.
• Supporting their own wellbeing by engaging in regular supervision and appropriate training

2. Contribute to the overall running of the organisation through:

• Attending team meetings
• Supporting the development and/or running of organisational resources, events and campaigns relevant to their role
• Having an awareness of the aims of the organisation and adhering to Safeguarding procedures at all times

Today, 12 children and young people will be diagnosed with cancer. We’ll stop at nothing to make sure they get the right care and support at the right time.​

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a People Systems and Insight Analyst with experience in systems, data and reporting, and has strong analytical skills to join our passionate team.

As part of the People and Culture Directorate, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our people systems. You’ll be enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, so that we work efficiently and effectively, and our workforce has a seamless ‘user experience’.

• Manage and optimise our people systems, enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, and resolving issues as needed to ensure a seamless ‘user experience’ for our workforce.
• Responsible for internal and external reporting, supporting various business processes (e.g. establishment, payroll and budget, workforce planning, benchmarking).
• Produce bespoke reports and dashboards for a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to support data-driven insight.

• Significant experience of working with people systems (HRIS, ATS), including trouble-shooting, making improvements and implementing required changes and updates.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract, collate and manipulate data from a variety of data sources.
• Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data and disseminating findings and recommendations in engaging ways.
• Experience in using data visualisation software (e.g., PowerBI).
• Demonstrable experience of making improvements to processes and systems.
• Project management skills with ability to deliver cross-functional projects through effective management of internal and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative, partnership-oriented approach, with a passion to make a difference.

About our client 

This project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. The Heritage Fund is delivering it on behalf of the Welsh Government. 

Do you want to be part of a team leading the field in the development of private investment into nature’s recovery? 

In the past 18 months, The Trusts have been developing new approaches to funding nature’s recovery from the private sector, utilising novel revenue approaches such as nutrient neutrality credits and the voluntary carbon market amongst others. They have developed finance mechanisms to sit alongside these revenue streams such as a philanthropic loan system. They now want to scale up this work to help The Trusts and others to scale nature’s recovery across Wales. They need to turn policy into strong principles that allows us to develop guidelines and templates to help the Trusts across Wales access green finance. 

Our client need dedicated expertise and capacity to work with the Trusts to bring this work into a coherent strategy, develop models and plans that build revenues for nature’s recovery allowing much greater investment. This post is designed to provide that expertise and capacity to work alongside those Trust staff that are already committed to developing these programmes. 

Our client is the central charity which supports the federation of 46 independent Trusts working for nature’s recovery across the UK, Alderney and the Isle of Man. The Trusts’ vision is of a thriving natural world, with abundant wildlife and healthy natural habitats playing a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies, and everyone inspired to take action for nature’s recovery. 

Collectively, The Trusts have more than 900,000 members, employ 3,500 staff, look after over 2,300 nature reserves, operate 123 visitor and education centres and own 29 working farms. The role of the trust is to ensure a strong voice for wildlife at a UK level and to provide strategic leadership, support and development for The Trusts. They provide shared expertise in areas such as climate change, digital fundraising, nature-based solutions, policy and safeguarding. They facilitate UK-wide communities of practice to share learning and replicate successful approaches so that together they are more than the sum of their parts. Goal 1 is to put nature into recovery with abundant, diverse wildlife and natural processes creating wilder land and seascapes where people and nature thrive. And Goal 3 is to enable nature to play a central and valued role in helping to address local and global problems, such as by helping tackle climate change and supporting wellbeing and education. 

Achieving these ambitious objectives means that they must develop new ways of working which increase the scale and impact of their work. Therefore, they have embarked on a programme of strategic transformations that are essential to achieving their goals, and which will result in a stronger and more effective Trust movement for the long term. They are leading the transformation programme across The Trusts including in community organising, equality, diversity and inclusion, and funding nature’s recovery. The Trusts have existed for over 100 years thanks to a strong membership base and traditional fundraising activities. 

Now, to achieve the level of funding needed to reverse nature’s decline, they need to diversify and increase their income by exploring new ways of funding such as innovative finance. 

About You 

You will be from a commercial background within private, public or charitable sector. You will have an entrepreneurial approach grounded by great commercial experience. They would expect an understanding of the green finance marketplace and that you are comfortable with legal and contract management. You will be a great communicator, with a personable style who can work with many different people across the wonderful variety of geography, business development, and activities of the Trusts.

We are looking for a Fundraising Lead for an incredible educational charity to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, high value, multi-year funding.

This is a homeworking role with occasional travel and overnight stays when required.

The Role

Lead on applications to corporates, major donors, trusts and foundations to secure 6+ figure donations.

Identify opportunities for new funds to contribute to the overall fundraising strategy.

Develop external relationships with institutional investors and high net worth individuals.

The Candidate
Experience presenting to a range of audiences made up of C-level executives, decision makers and HNWIs.

Experience of applying to corporates, trusts and foundations to secure 6+ figure donations.

Comfortable developing a strong pipeline of new business to meet income targets.

The Programmes Support Officer post will deliver on a range of database tasks and processes using our grant management and project monitoring database. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the postholder will maintain an accurate and up to date database for the administration and monitoring of grants at Egmont.

The Role  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in administration which includes administering and monitoring databases. The post will provide the Team with accurate, timely and comprehensive data, reports and minutes to support and enable effective grant making and decision making. The post plays a crucial role in supporting the whole Team in the UK and in Africa with the potential for visiting Egmont Partners and projects in southern & eastern Africa. 

The successful candidate will be highly IT competent, possess good written communication skills and have a positive attitude and strong desire to help meet the objectives of this small but very effective international development charity. A keen eye to detail, a methodical and analytical mind are critical requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will be young self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team and under their own initiative. Strong IT knowledge and experience in MS Office and data administration are essential requirements of the role. 

Flexibility will also be a key attribute. They will be part of a small team who have overlapping responsibilities and support each other in the delivery of Egmont’s strategy. Egmont is a fully remote office environment. As such, candidates from around the UK are invited to apply. We have staff, trustees and other key contacts in Cardiff, London, Lusaka & Harare. Our support staff will need to be flexible and able to work well with a geographically dispersed team.

The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the Trusts and Foundations team to meet income targets and develop and maintain relationships with donors and prospects. The role combines supporting the Trusts and Foundations Manager, Senior Trusts Officer, and Head of Fundraising with the maintenance of existing relationships as well as generating their own income from both smaller and larger trusts. The successful candidate will demonstrate success in securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations, and institutional donors. Proven experience in trust and foundation fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector or a similar environment is essential.

Legacy and In Memory Manager

The Legacy and In Memory Manager will take ownership of Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex's (KSS's) approach to Legacy and In Memory Giving.

Main Responsibilities:

- Deliver and oversee all day-to-day activity around legacy and in memory fundraising, ensuring campaigns and activity are effectively coordinated and that broader teams are enabled to support delivery
- Own, develop and deliver a range of impactful, innovative and insight-led fundraising campaigns to a range of audiences, and produce accurate and regular campaign evaluations, providing future recommendations
- Drive forward KSS Legacy Fundraising strategy and look to implement an In Memory Giving fundraising strategy to increase income
- Lead on the development and delivery of the In Memory fundraising programme including the creation of a tribute fund programme
- Establish, develop and maximise the potential of tribute funds at KSS and manage the relationships with associated families/supporters.
- Identify new ways to increase the efficiency of campaigns and activity by developing, testing and evaluating new approaches to donor acquisition, retention and engagement.
- Work with colleagues within marketing and other teams to implement new methods, and channels that deliver scalable growth.
- Own the welcome experience for in memory donors and those who have enquired about legacies, and work collaboratively to ensure that ongoing processes for thanking, stewardship and donation processing are effective.
- Implement and continuously review processes and practices to ensure that a high level of supporter service is maintained
- Manage and develop the relationship with all external agencies and providers who are engaged in our lottery and in memory

About you:

- Experience of delivering income growth within Legacy and In Memory giving, whilst delivering excellent service to all supporters
- Experience of using databases to input, update and extract supporter or customer data
- Experience of coordinating activities across different teams
- Knowledge of Gift Aid
- Knowledge of GDPR

Working as part of a small Front of House and Facilities team, the post-holder will provide a professional, customer-focused administrative service, helping to promote a sense of community in line with the Church’s mission and values
Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the main duties will include:

• Providing a professional and helpful switchboard, meeting room support and reception service;
• Answering enquiries and directing colleagues and visitors using knowledge of the Church’s aims and structures;
• Carry out a range of administrative tasks;
• Supporting the running of the facilities function and helping to maintain the health and safety of everyone in the building.
