Charles Harper House is a supported housing service for people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments, such as visual or hearing loss. The scheme consists of eight self-contained flats, two on-site offices, a communal area, and a large garden. Staff in the service are trained in British Sign Language (BSL), so a willingness to gain this qualification is essential.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a senior fundraiser / income-generation specialist with the ambition to grow and diversify our income streams sustainably. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will bring strategic planning and action to the income generation work needed to ensure that the charity can continue delivering, and increase the reach of, its life-changing support to Asylum Seeker and Refugee communities in and around Derby.

- Demonstrable experience of significant income growth in a large charity through grants, tenders and/or major donors with pipeline development.

Operational responsibilities:
Income generation and external partnerships
- Hold overall accountability for income generation across trusts and foundations, statutory funding, corporate partnerships, major donors and community fundraising.
- Developer and deliver a statutory fundraising strategy to maximise income from government, NHS, lottery and public sector funders.
- Lead and write high-quality funding bids, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and operational teams to shape compelling programme proposals.
- Oversee the management of the charity's current grant portfolio; ensuring grant applications and reports are delivered on time and in accordance with internal processes.
- Ensure that the voice, experience and dignity of refugees are meaningfully and ethically reflected in all fundraising and communication activity.

About This Job
Are you an experienced mobile engineer who enjoys creating high quality applications that make a real difference to users? As the Mobile Application Engineering Lead within Cadet Digital Services, you will guide the technical delivery of our mobile platforms and ensure they remain secure, reliable and aligned with the needs of the cadet community.
You will work closely with our established Oracle APEX multi-disciplinary team, bringing your mobile expertise into a collaborative environment that already supports several digital services. Our current mobile applications are delivered as progressive web applications, and you will play a central role in shaping their future development. This may involve enhancing them within the progressive web application space or guiding their evolution into fully native mobile apps.
In this role you will lead the App Squad through the full development lifecycle, including design, build, testing, release and ongoing improvement. You will shape mobile architecture, set engineering standards and make important technical decisions. You will also work closely with the Product Owner and the Solutions Architect to transform user needs into high quality mobile services that support cadet activity across the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Purpose
The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Communications Officer. We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-profile communications environment.
The role will support the objectives of the Living Wage Foundation and Citizens UK by communicating our work to a wide range of audiences, including senior business leaders and politicians, through a mix of communications methods: social media, newsletters, media outlets, website and internal communications channels. The role will be predominantly focused on work and wages activity through the Living Wage Foundation, but there will be opportunities to support cross-Citizens UK communications activity including for example: campaigns on housing, refugees and more.
This post will be joining a Communications team that spans media, digital communications, research and events, with colleagues based across the UK with monthly in-person team meetings.
The post holder will support the delivery of our media and press office activity, including monitoring media coverage, supporting with journalist enquiries, and helping to develop proactive press campaigns to build awareness of the Living Wage Foundation’s work. They will also support the creation of written and visual content across our channels and help monitor and manage our social media presence on a day-to-day basis. The role will work closely to support the Communications team’s work and help communicate the work of the wider-team and our employer network.

Main Responsibilities
Working as a Communications Officer for the Living Wage Foundation, reporting to the Media Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
Media

Though we support and signpost our students regardless of their issue, the majority of our caseload relates to Student Finance and other money issues so applicants with relevant experience and expertise are encouraged to apply. Working within a team of five Advisers to deliver our free, impartial and confidential service, the successful applicant will advise students on primarily Money, Academic and Disciplinary matters. As a dynamic and agile organisation, we always signpost or advocate where we cannot directly advise, and so expect to help students facing challenges from everything from housing to sexual violence.
Our Advice Team advises across telephone, Microsoft Teams and face to face appointments, alongside monitoring a shared email inbox, supporting colleagues with research and data analysis, contributing to and creating various resources and occasionally attending university committees or working groups to provide technical expertise. Occasional weekend and evening work (to support the delivery of Open Days) will be required, as well as occasional work at our sites in Stafford and London. Person Requirements

- Proven experience delivering information/advice and managing a caseload, including prioritising effectively, assessing risk, and communicating professionally with students and partners.

Hours: We are recruiting two posts totalling 1.5 FTE. The roles are offered on an annualised hours contract, with full-time based on 37 hours per week (1,687 working hours per annum plus 244 hours annual leave). Part-time hours and leave will be calculated on a pro rata basis.

The Supervising Solicitor – Legal Aid is a key role in shaping and strengthening Release’s legal services.
