About the role
Listening Books is a national charity that provides an excellent audiobook lending service to anyone in the UK whose illness, disability, learning or mental health difficulty, impacts on their ability to read the printed word, or hold books. Our audiobook catalogue contains over 10,000 titles. We believe that books should be accessible to everyone.
The Membership and Recruitment Administrator will help increase referrals to our service, by building and developing relationships with local partner charities and other relevant organisations. They will allocate funding to eligible new and renewing sponsored members, helping to meet our funding requirements and expand the charity’s membership base.
They will undertake the retention of its sponsored and paying members, by contacting renewing individual and organisational members, with the intention of retaining as many as possible and encouraging their use of the audiobook service.
They will also provide administrative support to the charity, including answering the main telephone line and opening and processing post.
The Person we are looking for
We have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our small team to help grow Listening Books' reach. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and research skills and attention to detail, a friendly, can-do attitude, with a willingness to learn and be comfortable speaking to members and partners on the phone or online.

Location
This is a hybrid role. Most tasks can be completed remotely, but you will be required to visit the office (Oval, London) for specific tasks, and we have a preference for this to be one day per week. Travel to attend events within the UK will also be required on occasion.

In this role, you’ll lead a diverse portfolio of IT projects, working closely with technical specialists, business analysts, and colleagues across the organisation. About you:

You have a solid understanding of IT systems and delivery processes and are confident applying structured project management approaches, alongside Agile/hybrid ways of working and have some line management experience managing projects coordinators.
You excel at building positive relationships and communicating clearly with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical teams to non-technical colleagues. Collaborative and organised, you bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. You’re motivated by work with purpose and are keen to use your skills and experience to help deliver meaningful change for people affected by dementia.
You'll have:
- Extensive experience managing end-to-end IT projects, from planning and initiation through to delivery and closure
- Strong working knowledge of PRINCE2, alongside experience using Agile or hybrid project delivery approaches
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and collaborate effectively across departments
- Experience delivering change, including process improvement and organisational process re-engineering
- Excellent organisational, time management, and risk management skills
- A strong track record of engaging and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

The Speaker Network and Education Manager oversees volunteer Speakers, coordinating talks and workshops delivered face-to-face and online. These sessions engage community groups such as schools, faith groups, and youth organisations, reaching thousands annually, raising awareness of WASH and inspiring support for WaterAid’s fundraising and campaigning work.
About the Role
As our committed and experienced Speaker Network and Education Manager,
you will:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the Speaker Network and volunteer Speakers and overseeing Administrators who coordinate and process Speaker requests.
- Lead and manage the Speaker Network, recruiting volunteers and training them to deliver high-quality talks and workshops.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain educational resources, including Key Stage WASH curriculum materials, ensuring best practice in language, design, and child-friendly visuals.
- Manage operational processes and systems, embedding best practice in volunteer management, GDPR compliance, and safeguarding.
- Monitor performance, manage budgets and KPIs, and contribute to reporting, evaluation, and future planning.
- Lead on strategic initiatives, contributing to the development of a unified volunteer stewardship journey across WaterAid.
Person Specification / To be successful, you’ll need:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and people-focused individual who can inspire and support volunteers. You will have:
- 5+ years’ experience recruiting, developing, and managing volunteers, ideally in education or community engagement.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR, safeguarding, and volunteer best practice.
- A natural ability to inspire, motivate, and support volunteers to deliver high-quality talks and workshops.
- Experience developing and delivering training and/or educational resources.
- Strong organisational, planning, and evaluation skills, including monitoring, reporting, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Experience managing Key Stage educational resources and/or working with freelance educators or writers.
- Understanding of WASH programmes, policy, and campaigning.

Volunteer Engagement Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and a developing team that recruits and supports young leaders to transform educational and social outcomes for pupils across the UK.

The Role
You will be responsible for delivering an efficient, end-to-end recruitment service from attraction and selection through to retention and onboarding, ensuring that outstanding volunteers are recruited to achieve excellent outcomes for the schools and pupils we support.
In this role, you will drive recruitment and engagement in your region, ensuring that targets are met, customer service is exceptional, and effective relationships are built. You will also contribute to national projects and develop creative approaches to recruitment and engagement that work for your area. · Knowledge of the UK school leaver and graduate markets, the education sector, youth social action, and the volunteer sector
· Experience using an ATS (applicant tracking system) or CRM database (desirable)
· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences

Location: Hybrid – NASP have an office space at London's Southbank Centre which can be used by staff at any time. The role will be expected to work some of their regular time in the office with the remainder at home, depending on agreed hours. Purpose of This Role:
This is a key role within NASP’s Operations team, leading on financial processes and procedures across the organisation. The Finance Manager will develop and maintain accurate and consistent records, provide regular reporting to support budgeting & forecasting, support on the annual audit, and ensure regulatory compliance & best practice across all of NASP’s work.
The role will work closely with the CEO, Director of Operations, and the Operations Coordinator (Finance & HR); as well as our outsourced accounting service provider (Carpenter Box). In addition, the role will support colleagues and teams more widely by costing funding bids for income generation, grant reporting, project accounting, and providing general financial expertise and guidance.
The Finance Manager will also support in preparing projections and updates for NASP’s Board of Trustees, working with the CEO, DoO, and Chair of the Finance, Audit, Investment & Risk Subcommittee (FAIRCo); this will include deputising for the Director of Operations on finance-related matters where appropriate.
Person Specification:
Experience & Knowledge:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA) or equivalent
- Knowledge of the VCFSE sector and/or Social Prescribing
- Experience of working within an accounts/finance role within a small to medium charity or the not-for-profit sector
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Charity Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP)
- Good understanding of compliance and regulatory standards
- Experience supporting preparation of statutory accounts
- Experience supporting income generation (e.g. funding applications) (desirable)
Skills & Attributes:
- Affinity with NASP’s Values as defined in the NASP Strategic Plan

Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Review monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate coding and reporting, working with budget holders and reporting any adjustments to Carpenter Box
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting, including scenario planning and going concern forecasts
- Manage accounts receivable/payable; follow up on unpaid invoices/outstanding payments, ensuring these are escalated as necessary
- Regular review of processes and procedures, ensuring robustness and efficiency at all levels
- Support Carpenter Box with quarterly VAT and Gift Aid returns as necessary
- Support Carpenter Box with year end annual account preparation
- Oversee provision of appropriate accounting and finance software (Xero, Soldo, ApprovalMax)
- Deputise for Director of Operations where necessary, e.g. payroll or providing updates to NASP’s Board of Trustees
Governance, Compliance, & Board Support
- Provide oversight for financial processes across NASP, ensuring compliance with both NASP’s policy suite and any regulatory requirements
- Support on process for annual audit and NASP’s annual report, providing relevant documents to auditors, answering queries, ensuring timelines are met
- Advising the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on any relevant updates to legislation or regulatory requirements
- Provide relevant reports and updates to NASP’s Board of Trustees and Finance Subcommittee, attending meetings where appropriate
Wider Organisational Support
- Work with Fundraising Consultant and colleagues as required to support on income generation, such as providing costings for bids; and mantaining accurate records on bids currently in progress and expected income
- Supporting on financial reporting for grants, such as providing I&E statements or other information as required
- Work with budget holders to set budgets, forecast, and monitor to ensure robust management and accurate reporting of overspend or underspend
- Provide general financial expertise & support to colleagues across the organisation
- Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to ensure our day-to-day processes are effective (e.g. expense claims, Soldo reconciliations, invoice & payment processing)

About the role
You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Hackney borough community, within Family Hub settings, on the phone as well as in Homerton Hospital.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing breastfeeding support to families within Family Hubs settings within Hackney, on the phone and on the wards at Homerton hospital.
- Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
- To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.?
- To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
- Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
- Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
About you
You will:
- You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
- Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders.
- It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.
- The role is 21 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This role is mainly based at family hubs setting across Hackney borough as well as in Homerton Hospital.
