Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.

Yu will deliver a high-quality housing advice service to all young people, aged 18-24yrs, who require housing advice & confirmation of their realistic housing options working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure the effective engagement of young people who could be in crisis to prevent current or repeat homelessness.

We are SIFA Fireside, the support service for any adult in Birmingham that faces homelessness. For 40 years we have supported Birmingham’s most vulnerable people through Homelessness Intervention, Prevention and Recovery services.

The Adult Lead Worker service is based at our main hub in Digbeth but provides city-wide support to adults experiencing multiple disadvantages. This service provides flexible, strengths-based advice and support to people aged 18 years plus who experience two or more of substance use, poor mental health, history of repeat homelessness and offending history. Clients may also be serially excluded from services or be at risk of exclusion from mainstream services.

The Lead Workers will also act as a community navigator linking the client into local services and activities, ensuring access to and receipt of necessary care and support that will vary for each client.

Key tasks ;-

1. To ensure that the service operates in a strength-based way, taking a flexible and psychologically informed approach to support.

2. To ensure that clients are provided with choice and meaningful involvement in decisions about how they receive support, and in identifying and setting goals as agreed with them.

3. To work proactively to reduce barriers and support clients to access services, including for on-going health, mental health and substance use treatment / services.

4. Manage an active caseload of clients, keeping effective and up to date records and monitoring outcomes through our CRM database system.

The Sanctuary (Crisis Café) is a service for all residents experiencing emotional distress. The café is weekdays during the evening and at weekends in the afternoon. We provide initial support meetings both face to face and via the telephone, workign with clients to resolve immediate distress, and explore coping mechanisms. We then coproduce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.  

The support worker will be experienced in working with people in distress or who have mental health issues, highly organised and have excellent people skills.  A minimum of 3 shifts per week is required.

The service is open 7 days a week:

4.30-10pm Monday – Friday and 12 – 6pm Saturday and Sunday (Barnet)

5-10pm Monday – Friday and 12 – 5pm Saturday and Sunday (Enfield)

37.5 hours per week

Hybrid role - up to 1 day a week from home

As a central part of the HR team, the HR Administrator helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Acting as the first friendly face for staff and managers, from supporting day-to-day administrative operations to partnering with HR Business Partners, the postholder helps create a positive, people-first experience across the organisation aligned with the Hospice’s values.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Team and Service Support

• Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries (phone, email, in person) escalating where necessary.
• Monitor shared and team inboxes, providing administrative support to the HR team.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across the hospice.
• Support the HR Business Partners in all areas of HR delivery including policy updates and audit process.
• Coordinate, arrange and take minutes at key meetings.
• Manage stationery and stock supplies for the HR team.

2. Recruitment and Onboarding

• Draft and publish job adverts and vacancy packs to internal and external platforms.
• Assist hiring managers with shortlisting, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
• Carry out all pre-employment checks, including references, DBS, right-to-work, and Occupational health.
• Prepare offer letters and contracts of employment.
• Add new starters to the HR System and order fobs and name badges.
• Organise and deliver new starter HR inductions.

3. HR Systems and Administration

• Maintain accurate personnel records in line with GDPR and hospice procedures.
• Manage key compliance tasks including DBS renewals, right-to-work checks, and professional registration monitoring.
• Report on HR metrics.
• Maintain the HR Portal and rota management system.
• Process payroll changes including starters, leavers, absences, contractual changes and other miscellaneous updates.
• Produce and issue routine HR communication (maternity, leaver, probation letters).
• Manage employee benefits and general employee administration queries.
• Track and support performance review and probation processes.
• Support managers with absence management administration, escalating complex matters to the HR Business Partners.

The ideal Senior Team Nurse candidate will have a strong background in hospice and palliative care, with at least 3 years of specialist clinical experience and 2 years in end-of-life care leadership. They should demonstrate expertise in nurse-led care delivery,

 

 

patient assessment, and escalation. Experience in ward management and involvement in service improvement projects is also essential, highlighting both leadership and innovation in clinical settings.

JOB PURPOSE 

This exciting role focuses on raising income for the Start Network and its global initiatives, including the Start Fund, Start Ready, innovation and the expansion of a locally led network. The postholder will be an experienced trusts and / or corporate fundraiser who wants a role focused on business and relationship development. They will be responsible for an exciting portfolio of existing and prospective funders (that give 6-7 figure grants), adopting a relational approach to fundraising. 

You will be responsible for carrying out prospect donor mapping, growing a fundraising pipeline, building relationships with prominent foundations and corporates in the humanitarian space, writing technical proposals as required, pitching to donors well-articulated concepts, and building fundraising capacity within the organisation. 

It is critical that the postholder is comfortable with developing new relations. We have grown a significant number of new donors within our Foundations and Corporates over the last few years, and we hope to continue the growth of the team in this exciting role, so proof of having grown an income stream is key.

Finally, the Partnerships Funding Advisor will sit within a team of 4 focusing on strengthening and increasing the philanthropic portfolio and will work alongside the Partnerships Engagement Officer, one other Partnerships Funding Advisor and will report to the Partnerships Manager.

We’re Fumble – a bold, creative, and nationally recognised charity on a mission to make digital sexual health information relevant, engaging, fun, and safe for young people aged 13–25. We're five years in, growing fast, and dreaming big for the future. 

We’ve established an exciting programme of digital content co-creation with young people, to support them to successfully manage their sexual health, relationships, and mental health in the digital age, and we’re looking for a brilliant new Programme Manager to head this up.

This is an exciting, rewarding, and hands-on role at the heart of our small Sheffield-based team. You’ll lead the design and delivery of our projects – from the first sparks of an idea all the way through to measuring impact and celebrating success. 

This role is Sheffield-based or hybrid.

The role details

• This is a permanent role at Fumble

• Normal working day at Fumble is 9am - 5:30pm, with a 1h unpaid lunch break (7.5h day)

• 4 days/week (0.8 FTE), Monday - Thursday

  • Exciting note! We’re planning to trial a 4-day working week as an organisation in the near future, once funding is secured.

  • What would this mean? Fumble is preparing to trial a 4 day working week, which would mean a 30h work week across Mon-Thurs, with staff pay and benefits (including holiday allowance) increasing from 0.8 FTE to 1.0 FTE for everyone.

• £35,000 - £39,000 per year (pro rata, depending on experience)

We’re looking for someone who…

• Has a creative eye and instinct for engaging, youth-led design

• Brings solid experience in managing freelancers and creative teams (we’re looking for CVs with at least 5+ years of relevant career experience)

• Is confident running charity projects end-to-end – including bid writing and fundraising, planning, people management, deadlines, budgets, and reporting

• Tools you will ideally be confident using include: Google Analytics, Data Studio, Wordpress, a CRM, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, and Google Drive, including especially Google Sheets.

• Has strong safeguarding knowledge and expertise, particularly for young people, and ideally in both in-person and digital spaces

• Is experienced in both youth engagement and digital content creation and delivery

Key deliverables expected from this role

Here are some of the key deliverables expected from the role in the first 12 months.

1. Programme delivery - youth engagement

• Expand our recent successful pilot project: ‘Healthy relationships for young women and girls’. 

This will include:

• In person delivery, in Sheffield.

• Project planning, session planning, promotion campaign to reach potential participants, facilitation of sessions and/or managing freelance facilitators, impact measurement, reporting.

• Deliver our annual cycle of engaging our Youth Advisory Board (remote, online delivery). This will include:

  • Planning and facilitating sessions via Zoom (supported by our Social Media & Comms Officer); impact measurement and reporting; safeguarding and managing the engagement and retention of members. 

2. Programme delivery - digital content and campaigns

• Delivery of our planned ‘Sexual health Q&As between young people & doctors’ campaign. This will include:

  • A series of video content, co-created with young people, for a social media campaign and series of associated website articles on the Fumble website. 

3. Supporting our safeguarding

• Supporting safeguarding at Fumble, as our Designated Safeguarding Officer. You’ll bring previous experience of effective safeguarding to help us build on our policy and practice. 

• This will include:

  • Conduct / manage annual safeguarding training for Fumble team & stakeholder groups

  • Maintain DBS checks

  • Communicate with external safeguarding agencies & expert advisors (where relevant)

  • Ensure safeguarding info is visible on the website and in sessions, and 

  • Ensure safeguarding continues to be embedded in a meaningful way across all of Fumble’s activities. 

4. Impact measurement

• Participate in the team’s development of our recently introduced impact measurement framework

• Design any additional tools needed for evaluating youth sessions, campaigns, and content.

• Collect quantitative and qualitative data (e.g. surveys, feedback forms, analytics).

• Report on outcomes and impact.

• Engage young people in co-evaluation methods where possible.

5. Supporting our fundraising 

• Participate in the team’s collective fundraising efforts. This includes:

  • identifying funding opportunities for Fumble, writing and reviewing bids, and writing reports for funders.
