Location: Homebased, U.K. Nationwide, however occasional travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Circa £30,600 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum or outer London weighting £2,100 per annum may be applied in accordance to where you live)

The Role
Reporting to the Supporter Acquisition and New Product Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving innovation within our fundraising initiatives. You will be working with wider teams to help identify new products for our portfolio and to ensure that our products and offers are integrated.

· Good grammatical skills and experience of reviewing compelling copy

This is an exciting opportunity to join Child Bereavement UK as we look to recruit a full time Bereavement Support Service Lead, to lead and manage a team to set up a new service in Birmingham that will provide bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings.
The postholder will lead in the provision, coordination, evaluation and ongoing development of a new bereavement support service in Birmingham. The new service will ensure that families and professionals can access high-quality bereavement support when a baby or child has died, or when children or young people are bereaved. They will also support the strategic development of the Charity’s service in Birmingham.
In this role you will:
- Lead/manage/contribute to establishing and developing the provision of a blended model of bereavement support in Birmingham
- Provide training, consultancy and support for professionals whose work brings them into contact with bereaved families
- Collaborate with partners to establish and develop a bereavement support services in Birmingham
- Work closely with The National Lottery Community Fund to ensure all outcomes of the project are achieved through regular monitoring and reporting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the children and young people’s team for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to be part of shaping and delivering a new early support youth hub pilot within Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley. The hub will support people aged 13+ and those who feel they still require a young people’s approach up to 25. It brings together the specialisms of Cranstoun, complimented by wider partnership delivery and lead areas of responsibility.
We have three positions, each to have a lead theme area, including relationships, youth engagement and emotional health and wellbeing. As this is a pilot, these lead themes may change and develop depending upon the needs of young people and the service. (Please state your preference during your application).
You will be the first point of contact within the youth hub, providing initial information, advice and guidance and facilitating connections to other support or specialist services. You will be expected to provide a range of planned engagement activities/clubs and undertake wellbeing coaching for those who need help. This early support youth hub will play a crucial role in providing: -

The Role
The project funded by the Elwyn Thomas Memorial Fund will deliver an Emotional Support Service as well as through collaborative community working, will result in valuable assets for the community. In the shape of self-sustaining peer and volunteer led support through groups, partnerships and activities.
Reporting to the Emotional Support Service Manager, the team will deliver a professional counselling service to stroke survivors, carers and relatives. Counselling sessions are designed to help clients to develop emotional resilience, readjust to life after stroke and prepare to reintegrate into community life.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Providing one to one counselling to stroke survivors, carers and relatives including those with communication or cognitive difficulties
· Providing counselling sessions in person, on-line or by telephone, throughout Cornwall
· Assessing the appropriateness of counselling for service users by providing emotional needs assessment sessions as well as using appropriate screening/evaluation tools (e.g. PHQ and GAD)
· Managing risk and safeguarding issues in accordance with appropriate legal, ethical and organisational requirements.
About You
You will have:
· An advanced diploma in integrative, humanistic or person-centred counselling/psychotherapy; for example, BACP recognised course or equivalent (i.e. 450 hours skills and theory, 100 hours of supervised practice, 20 hours of personal therapy)
· A minimum of 1 year post qualification supervised clinical practice
· BACP registration (or equivalent) and actively working towards accreditation
· Experience of delivering short-term counselling

Working flexibly across the community and within multi-agency partnership settings on an outreach basis, we’ll rely on you to engage people in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach. A core part of the role will involve addressing holistic support needs that could include employment related issues, family work interventions, issues of exploitation, physical and emotional health, domestic abuse and support to engage in rehabilitation. To succeed, you’ll need significant experience of engaging effectively with clients in an addictions or social care setting. We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users to change and save lives. You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance misuse work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed supporting clients to make positive changes in order to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider drug strategy.
Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance misuse, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of our service users to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.
Experience of working with drug and alcohol misuse and individuals is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers.
