We’re looking for someone who can seek out and build great partnerships, cultivate and manage large corporate donors whose values align with ours and help raise brand awareness. This is a permanent part-time, and yet flexible role, for 3 days a week. We’ll explore the exact hours and timing with you and together find what works.

What’s in it for you

Working remotely – Like to work from home? No worries, our team is spread out all around the world. However, for this role we are seeking someone who lives in the UK and a commutable distance to London for team meet-ups, client meetings and attending events.

Office Administrator - Donor Communications and Volunteer Liaison

Friends of the Holy Land are looking for an energetic, dedicated individual to join our fast-moving, growing charity.

Friends of the Holy Land has a small network of volunteer supporters around the country and an expanding number of financial donors. This new role will be responsible for communicating with these two communities, with a focus on preparing monthly emails to supporters, monitoring and moderating social media accounts, liaising with external partners to deliver external communications, developing donor stewardship and growing our volunteer network.

The role will also be required to help with regular office duties and will need to be familiar with all aspects of administrative support for the operational success of the charity. You will need to be comfortable working in a faith-based organisation, talking to supporters across the UK and with our partners in the Holy Land, and be competent in creating communications.

Shannon Trust deliver literacy and numeracy programmes to thousands of people in prison each year. The role

As Community Engagement Officer you will play a key role in ensuring the Foundation achieves its objectives of engaging with and increasing physical activity levels amongst the four key priority groups facing the greatest inequalities: low socio-economic groups, women and girls, disabled people and people with long term health conditions, and culturally diverse communities. This will predominantly be achieved through the critical support you will provide to our ambitious PlayZones Programme, as we continue to roll the programme out across priority areas of the Country.

We have an ambition to deliver in excess of 200 PlayZone facilities by 2025. To realise this ambition, we’re going to focus on investing in safe, inclusive, and accessible facilities in communities with the greatest need. We will tackle inequalities in physical activity levels and create inclusive opportunities for our priority groups to become active through recreational formats of football and other sports and activities.

With a great deal to do, the role will be pivotal in working with local groups to support them through the application process, and to ensure high quality projects are being developed based on local community need.

The role sits within the Football Foundation’s Delivery Team, the team responsible for strategic identification and capital project delivery, reporting to the Community Engagement Lead and with responsibility for a portfolio of PlayZone programme areas within one of the Delivery Team geographical regions.

You will provide critical support to applicants and work extremely closely with our network of Delivery Managers & Officers to advise and agree community engagement plans for a range of Over £25k projects – helping to ensure their engagement is robust, but that applicants also receive support and guidance as required throughout the development of their application.

Community Engagement Officers will champion the benefits of great engagement, capturing good practice, identifying successful approaches, and share knowledge and learning across the Foundation and other stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to follow football to apply, but it is expected that you appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

You must be educated to HND/Degree standard, or with the equivalent experience, with knowledge of how sports development can be used for community benefit. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience of communicating with and supporting a diverse range of colleagues and customers remotely.

Your knowledge of place-based working and how to best reach and engage with local communities will be key for this role, as well as your understanding of the inequalities that exist in supporting active lives across socio economic groups, women & girls, individuals with a disability or a long-term health condition, and culturally diverse communities. You will be aware of and have experience of dealing with the operations and challenges faced by community organisations, charities, and the voluntary sector.

You must be highly organised, with working knowledge of different project management techniques and experience of managing multiple projects at the same time. While not essential, experience of producing robust reports and of using dashboards to monitor the progress of projects would be useful.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity, fighting food poverty and hunger by tackling waste. We source good quality food that is surplus to requirements from the food industry. An army of volunteers help redistribute this food to over 500 frontline charities and community groups such as school breakfast clubs, community centres and organisations supporting those who are homeless, unemployed, socially isolated and recovering from addiction. These organisations provide meals and food parcels to over 67,000 vulnerable people every week.   We also support people through our Employability programmes, enabling them to learn skills and find rewarding work – some for the first time.  

Hunger is a growing issue in the UK and while there is surplus food that is otherwise going to waste, we believe that this food should be used to feed people first.

This is a varied and responsible role. As well as assisting with personal care and sensory needs, you will support individuals with their physical health eg PEG feeding, suction, physiotherapy and medication. You will also carry out everyday household tasks. You will help people to engage in everyday home, social and leisure interests, reaching goals like travelling or holidays and working positively with their families and friends.

Your person-centred approach will enable people to have choices about their own lives. You will work with external health professionals to deliver a service model that promotes and reflects evidence-based practice. We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Bid Coordinator to join our Fundraising Team.  Within the team you’d be responsible for generating income from The Door’s fundraising portfolio to meet our budgeted current and future service delivery needs, and specifically for raising income from grants and tender bids.  You’d coordinate the end-to-end process of bid submission, from researching funding opportunities to writing compelling bids to ensuring the timely delivery of reports to funders.

You’ll be an excellent written communicator, with the ability to compose accurate, concise and persuasive prose, strong administrative and relationship management skills, experience of working with budgets and a good eye for detail.  You should have experience of writing successful funding bids and reports.  A detailed understanding of the wider funding environment in the voluntary sector is also highly desirable.

Right now, we are looking for someone like you to join our enhanced substance misuse family safeguarding team in Birmingham which specialises in reducing the harms caused to young people and families as a result of parental substance misuse whilst improving parenting ability and family functioning to reduce family breakdown.

Aquarius work with families and young people across a range of home and community settings supporting parents to build insight into the impact of substance misuse whilst developing safety and risk management strategies to minimise risk to the wider family.

Your challenge? To support and deliver a new family model within Birmingham working closely with substance misuse treatment providers, and Childrens Health and Social Care. You will deliver specialist interventions as part of our intensive family support programme exploring risk factors such as substance use, supporting affected adults such as Kinship carers, supporting mental health and reducing parental/family conflict. This will be delivered through 1:1 support, 5 step focused sessions, education groups, family support groups; and accredited parenting programmes including M-PACT. Applicants must be committed to attending training for parent training programmes, as well as contributing to the delivery of hidden harm and FASD training to professionals across Birmingham.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to help develop this service and expand the family support options to support complex families in Birmingham with the aim of improving outcomes for all family members affected by parental substance misuse.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you will need a passion for working with families supported by a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we will consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you will have experience of liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals.
