The Diocese of Coventry is seeking a Strategic Programme and Change Director to drive the development and implementation of our strategic framework. They will play a crucial role in developing the programmes and projects needed to deliver to the key commitments and vision set out in Our Shared Future. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Bishop’s Strategy Integration Group, senior Diocesan staff, clergy and lay leaders across the Diocese.

The role holder will:

• Facilitate and co-ordinate the development of the diocese’s strategic plan, working closely with the Bishop’ Strategy Integration Group, senior clergy and lay leaders across the diocese.
• Oversight of the strategic programme governance framework, including the approach to effective planning, monitoring and delivery of the desired outcomes.
• Act as advisor to the Bishop’s Strategy Integration Group and Coventry Operational Leadership Team in helping to create a positive environment for change, demonstrating an understanding/sensitivity to the impact of proposed changes.
• Lead on the development and submission of funding applications for strategic programme work and ensure the Diocese resources National Church initiatives and programmes appropriately and structures project teams and delivery frameworks accordingly.

Can you harness the power of stories to improve life for people with dementia and those around them?

Our magazine, Dementia together, helps people affected by dementia to feel less isolated and better able to make decisions. We also inspire readers and listeners to be a force for change by campaigning, fundraising and more – people act on the real-life stories and ideas that we share.

You’ll work with the Magazine Editor to plan and create content that reflects the full range of people’s experiences of dementia, being true to their voices while also fulfilling the Society’s aims. You’ll speak with a great range of people in this role – people with a dementia diagnosis, their carers, friends and relatives, supporters, volunteers, activists, researchers, and colleagues across our teams as well as representatives from other organisations.
 
You’ll help make content available online and elsewhere, producing a podcast and enabling colleagues to draw on our content and material in other ways too.
We never stop improving what we do and how we do it. One example is our focus on finding new ways to involve people with lived experience of dementia in planning and creating content.

This is a homeworking role, but you may be required to travel to attend some meetings and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our flagship offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.

About the role

· Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers to adjust to life after stroke following hospital discharge into the community.

· Providing personalised information, advice and support.

· Enabling stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

· Working with other health and social care professionals across the stroke pathway to ensure high quality support.

You will have experience in:

· Experience/ background of providing person centred support to people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers.

Are you a Vet looking to make a difference? Do you want to help us design optimal evidence-based treatment for the dogs in our Care?  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Behaviourist (Clinical Behaviour Services) to work on providing an internal referral service for behavioural medicine, recommending treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress, and assisting with more complex cases as required.

What does this role involve?

As Veterinary Behaviourist you’ll:

• Work with the Community Clinical Animal Behaviour and post-adoption support teams in devising the optimal behaviour rehabilitation strategy for dogs in their care while liaising with external veterinary practices as required to support the work of clinical teams.
• Support and advise staff across Dogs Trust on matters relating to psychoactive medication and links between disease, physiology and behavioural signs, under the direction of the Head of Clinical Behaviour Services.
• Provide behaviour consultations to owned dogs with behaviour problems especially those with a medical component that requires specialist input.
• Assist with staff training through workshops, clinical case reviews, mentorship and conferences.

About you:

With a good knowledge of dog behaviour, training and welfare you will have a veterinary qualification with postgraduate experience as a veterinary surgeon. With basic knowledge of statistical methods and ability to evaluate published research you will have enthusiasm for professional development, research and developing specialist skills in veterinary behavioural medicine.

- ability to adapt communication depending on the needs of the person
- excellent IT skills including using Microsoft Office packages

About the role:
