About you
We are seeking candidates with experience in managing the development, production and delivery of web content and digital products, including e-learning resources, videos, podcasts, and images, for a high traffic and information rich website.
The successful candidate will have experience of implementing a digital-first strategy which supports and refines customer-focused outputs. Tenant Engagement and Scrutiny Officer
Location: Birmingham, Bath Row, B151 1LZ
Salary: £35,330 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week

The Role
In this impactful role, you’ll engage with a diverse range of tenants through consultation activities, including focus groups and our My Voice programme, to scrutinise the performance of our services. You’ll adopt an inquisitive approach that enables you to thoroughly explore, and critically interpret performance data. Using your excellent communication skills, you will appropriately challenge existing practices through business stakeholders and write reports for wider business consideration.

Your application will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- You’ll have previous experience of tenant engagement or a strong understanding of the Social Housing sector, consumer standards and regulations.
- You’ll have previous experience of driving service improvements.
- You’ll have experience of writing reports and presenting information to different audiences.
- You’re a dynamic thinker, who thrives under pressure and has the ability to manage a large and varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines.
As an organisation we value collaboration with our tenants, so you can expect a balance of working from the office and meeting tenants in the community (3 days per week) and working from home (2 days per week). Please be aware, you must be willing and able to travel across the Midland Heart portfolio (West & East Midlands) to meet with tenants in locations that are inaccessible via public transport.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Bid Coordinator to join our Fundraising Team. Within the team you’d be responsible for generating income from The Door’s fundraising portfolio to meet our budgeted current and future service delivery needs, and specifically for raising income from grants and tender bids. You’d coordinate the end-to-end process of bid submission, from researching funding opportunities to writing compelling bids to ensuring the timely delivery of reports to funders.
You’ll be an excellent written communicator, with the ability to compose accurate, concise and persuasive prose, strong administrative and relationship management skills, experience of working with budgets and a good eye for detail. You should have experience of writing successful funding bids and reports. A detailed understanding of the wider funding environment in the voluntary sector is also highly desirable.
This role is home-based and ideal for a skilled bid writer who needs flexible hours. Occasional travel to our office in Stroud, Gloucestershire will be required. Applicants must be UK-based and eligible to work in the UK.

About the role

- Build and develop local partnerships, collaborations, coalitions in order to achieve innovative and creative responses with positive outcomes that will meet identified needs
What you’ll bring
- Experience of people (staff and volunteer) management as well as a commitment to working collaboratively with volunteers, and demonstrable experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including those from diverse communities
- Experience of engaging and inspiring internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver organisational objectives
- Experience of facilitating and modelling a collaborative and transparent approach, which promotes trust, mutual respect, ownership, reflection and a sense of responsibility
- Knowledge and/or experience of appropriate health, social care structures and services relevant to Parkinson’s and of the principles of influencing and campaigning
