At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.
The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.
They will promote volunteering and encourage new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. Provide governance advice, support, and guidance to local community/charitable groups and organisations, including support to staff/volunteer managers on volunteer recruitment and retention and develop working relationships with community led/based local groups to support future growth and sustainability.

About the Role
As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.
The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

About the role
The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting, varied position working with Emmaus communities located in the South East region of the UK to increase their profile and engage supporters.
You will work closely with the Emmaus communities in your patch to identify their communications needs and plan and deliver a mix of work to help achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and draw on each other’s experiences to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.
A typical working week within this role can include:
· A weekly meeting with other Regional Communications Officers to catch up and share ideas and work of interest
· A visit to an Emmaus community to conduct interviews and capture photography and video
· Writing and sending press releases
· Scheduling social media content
· Creating graphics and marketing materials using Canva
· Updating community websites using WordPress
This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.
Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important. The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.
Who are we looking for?
We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.
Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Press and Campaigns Officer to raise the profile of Carers First, building our brand awareness and engagement levels to reach new carers. The successful candidate will also help to raise awareness of the issues affecting carers and be responsible for our press and media activity, helping us to secure national and local coverage.

This role is the first point of contact for journalists getting in touch with the Trussell Trust. The role is accountable for handling media enquiries; checking and responding to the press inbox; media monitoring and securing press coverage. The Press Officer will assist with media work through print, online and broadcast news to help build understanding, awareness and consideration of the organisation’s mission and goal. The Press Officer will support and advise colleagues, food banks in the network and external stakeholders to ensure they receive media coverage of strategically important projects.
Role responsibilities
· Handle incoming enquiries and provide accurate, timely and appropriate responses, briefing journalists in line with the Trussell Trust’s key messages and priorities.

Dog A.I.D. is recruiting for the exciting new role of Programme Support and Engagement Officer. The post holder will play a key role across client support and volunteer engagement functions within the charity. They will work alongside our operations and training teams to support and engage our existing network of volunteer trainers and support them effectively to ensure their long-term retention. As well as providing administration for our existing volunteer CPD offer, the post-holder will support the roll-out, administration and evaluation of two crucial new projects, a trainer mentoring programme and an in-house assessor’s course.
The Programme Support and Engagement Officer will also develop trusting and empathetic relationships with our clients, engaging and supporting them as they navigate the Assistance Dog training programme.
This role is person-centred and focused on building great relationships with clients and volunteers. Dog Assistance in Disability (A.I.D.) is a unique organisation, empowering disabled people to train their own pet dogs, supported by professional dog trainers as volunteers.
Dog A.I.D. was established in 1992 to assist people with physical disabilities, improving their quality of life by helping them train their own pet dogs to provide assistance with day-to-day tasks.
In 1996, the Dog A.I.D. Scheme was launched nationally at Crufts and today has a team of staff, volunteer trainers and assessors based across the country supporting over 168 Assistance Dog partnerships, both in training and fully qualified, with our office base in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
As of May 2024, there are currently 98 fully qualified Dog A.I.D. dogs throughout the country, with 70 more in training with 95 voluntary Dog A.I.D. Trainers. The training takes up to two years with both dog and disabled owner (‘client’) receiving specialist education from our network of trainers and attaining fully accredited Assistance Dog status through three distinct stages.
Dog A.I.D. is a member of Assistance Dogs UK, a voluntary coalition of Assistance Dog charities that aims to promote the freedom, independence and rights of people with assistance dogs across the UK. About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of the Policy and Public Affairs team, during an election year, delivering a number of vital pieces of research designed to improve walking, wheeling and cycling and transport more broadly.
As the Policy Officer, you will lead on delivering two key policy projects for Sustrans with support from our Head of Policy and Senior Policy Officer. You will help develop evidence, policy and practice working closely with colleagues to maximise long-term opportunities to help increase transport choice for people.

Charity People have partnered with a £4million turnover NFP organisation called Advice UK, to help recruit an IT Officer.
This is a newly created role, fully remote where you are required to come to London once a month. The role offers a salary between £32,000 - £34,000 per annum + Regional Weighting, which will be pro-ratad for three days a week.

Some of your key duties and responsibilities are;
- Project manage the implementation of all agreed technology projects e.g. migration to SharePoint (including devising a new file structure, identify files that need to be archived and deleted in compliance with the organisations data retention policy and GDPR)
- Develop, document and maintain a map of current technology systems
- Create and implement protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects (e.g. onboarding and offboarding)
- Create, implement and manage a process for internal IT support that makes cost-effective use of our external IT support supplier by being first point of contact for AUK staff for IT issues to triage requests and issues for our external IT support
- Support the Head of Systems and Technology in selecting most cost-effective systems and technology to deliver the organisation's objectives
- Devise, manage and test a backup and recovery process.
- Manage external access request to teams for project work as appropriate
- Work alongside the Data Protection + Cyber Security Officer to ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR) + cyber security standards
Candidates applying for this role must have the following:
- Experience of managing migration to SharePoint is essential
- Delivering effective ICT support to staff
- Experience of introducing new technologies and upgrades to support organisational effectiveness. As part of this, providing staff with advice and training to make the most of these new technologies.
- Ability to work independently, strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data and evidence into actionable insights to inform decision-making
- Ability to use a range of digital ICT tools; CRMs, Microsoft applications to undertake complex tasks & to embrace new technologies & ways of working
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence the stakeholders

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.
Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.
Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.
Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.

We are excited to be recruiting a School Partnerships Officer to join the School Partnerships Team. You’ll work to deliver the goals set out in Join the Club, our ambitious strategy for 2021-2026, specifically building partnerships with schools to deliver our school facing interventions.
Your job will be to raise awareness of our programmes and transform expressions of interest into school partnerships. You will be responsible for a geographical area, creating a sales and partnerships plan and proactively reaching out to schools to generate opportunities and convert them into sales and signups. You will use your relationship building, influencing and selling skills to engage schools, trusts and networks to fulfil our charity mission in your area. If you are passionate about communicating with different audiences, quickly building relationships, and meeting ambitious targets that have a huge social impact, this could be the perfect role for you. This role will require you to become an expert on our programmes so that you can confidently discuss their features and benefits with key stakeholders. This isn’t about administering a process; it’s about understanding the needs of the schools and pupils in your area and how our programmes can support their priorities. You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure. You will also work to improve the efficiency of our internal systems, so teachers have the best experience communicating with us.
The role will report to the Director of School Sales and Partnerships. It can be based at any of our four Brilliant Club offices, located in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff.
About You
