The Fundraising and Grants Officer will support and coordinate the effective delivery of First Steps ED’s fundraising activities in line with our charity strategy. The Fundraising and Grants Officer will assist the Head of Fundraising and Communications by developing and implementing fundraising campaigns and communication with external stakeholders which includes bid writing, external fundraising and fundraising support. This position requires a charity sector communicator who has a background of bid writing, grants and fundraising support within the charity sector.

Role Overview:
The Fundraising and Grants Officer will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our services. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of fundraising processing and grant/bid writing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies: Implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet financial targets.
• Supporter Care and Data Management: Manage stewardship data, including maintaining fundraising pages, using Beacon CRM, and other fundraising platforms.
• Bid Writing for Trusts: Research and write bids for trusts to secure funding.
• Prospecting for Trusts, Foundations, and Corporates: Identify and approach potential funding sources, including trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Event Planning: Organise and manage fundraising events, including charity runs, galas, and community activities.
• Coordinate Community and Challenge Events: Plan and oversee community and challenge events to engage supporters and raise funds.
• Manage Fundraising Volunteers: Recruit, train, and manage fundraising volunteers to support various initiatives and plans.
• Assist in Coordinating Friends of Network: Support the coordination of the Friends of Network to enhance community engagement.
• Grant Writing: Research and apply for grants from foundations, private companies, and local authority or NHS bodies.
• Campaign Management: Oversee fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives.
• Reporting: Monitor and report on fundraising activities, providing regular updates to senior management and Head of Fundraising and Communications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align fundraising efforts with the charities goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a fundraising role, preferably within the non-profit sector/ charity sector.
• Education: A Level or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Bid writing, or related field.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to create and maintain fundraising reports.
• Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.

About the Role:

This role is based in Bedfordshire with consideration given to hybrid working. As a Triage and Early Intervention Officer you will be:

• providing high quality support to victims of domestic abuse across Bedfordshire
• working closely with our team of Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA), providing support as required
• making initial contact with service users referred into our service, identifying any immediate risks and offering crisis intervention
• working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe
• working within a multi-agency framework consisting of voluntary and statutory partners to build local partnerships, in order to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse

You will need:

• Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or vulnerable people
• Knowledge of risk accessing and identifying the needs of service users
• Have competent IT skills and experience of working on casework management systems
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing demands in a busy environment
• Be flexible to meet the needs of the service

About the role:

This role is based at Accrington. Once your probation period is completed you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will be:

• Focusing on victims of domestic abuse and will provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
• This will include supporting victims either face to face or over the telephone to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe. It will involve developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs and risk assessment.
• You will provide advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including
• exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.
• You will participate fully in multi-agency meetings by being the voice of the client and follow up actions agreed in meetings keeping the client's safety at the forefront of proceedings.

You will need to:

• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Have theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of civil and criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, to prioritise work and deal with competing demands demonstrating an organised and methodical approach to work
• Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
• Demonstrate the ability to use IT applications competently including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems in order to keep accurate records and monitoring your performance.
• This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. This health charity is in an exciting stage in their evolution. They are four years into a five-year organisational strategy.

They are looking for a proactive Head of Corporate Partnerships who can deliver against growth targets, is passionate about creating strategic, impactful partnerships, and a confident leader.

The Role
Lead and deliver the corporate partnerships strategy to meet and exceed income targets.
Maintain and grow relationships with current corporate partners.
Work with the Development Advisory Group to maximise networks and opportunities for corporate fundraising.
Identify and secure new high-value partnerships, with a focus on six figure opportunities.
Work closely with the Membership Manager to oversee the strategy, delivery, and growth of the Employer Membership Programme.

Glasspool is a UK-wide grant funder, established in 1939 with a permanent endowment from Richard Louveteau Glasspool, a Hertfordshire businessman and philanthropist. He experienced financial hardship as a young man, but when his income became more than enough to meet his personal needs, he started to provide financial support to individuals.
