About this job

The role of the Human Resource Officer is integral in progressing UNISON’s people management and wide HR strategic agenda. It will provide professional human resource and employee relations advice and support to UNISON’s managers on key areas such as case management, staff movement and recruitment, absence management and Occupational Health referrals, and general people matters.

The role will be responsible in providing support to managers in addressing performance, harassment, grievance and disciplinary matters effectively in line with current employment law, while also ensuring that staffing budgets are managed and maintained within the financial guidelines.

The successful person will have the ability to problem solve with a proactive approach to finding solutions and have the ability to advise and communicate effectively. They will have experience of operating in an environment where there is an active trade union representative and negotiate and consult on day to day issues.

The role

The Development Manager (Philanthropy and Fundraising) position marks an exciting new chapter at The Carers' Centre. Key duties and responsibilities

Main responsibilities

In line with our income generation strategy:

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.

· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver The Carers’ Centre vision for carers.

Income generation

· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.

· Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.

· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.

· Work proactively with colleagues to research, identify and scope a portfolio of compelling projects and proposals that will appeal to donors and funders.

· Work closely with communication colleagues to develop appropriate communications campaigns and activities for different supporter groups.

· Contribute towards the charity’s communications and marketing strategy ensuring fundraising is embedded.

· Develop, maintain, and implement relevant policies and procedures in line with our growth plans.

· Provide effective line management and support to direct reports to help them maximise their potential and effectiveness.

Our Lancashire hub offers a range of advice, support and guidance to people in the local area, specialising in homelessness and bad housing but also assisting with related issues such as welfare benefits advice. Rock UK Head Office Team

Reporting to the Finance Director, the post holder will work closely with members of the senior management team to facilitate the smooth operation of Rock UK’s finances. UNISON’s HR team are looking for an HR Operations Manager to lead a key administration team and project that will create an HR Shared Service function. This isn’t just about systems, it’s about improving internal and external customer experiences, and streamlining processes for long-term impact.

About this job

You’ll lead a full redesign of our in-house administration practices and workflows, including implementing a Shared Service technology solution to deliver an improved customer experience and internal processes. Managing a small team of administrators and collaborating with other key HR stakeholders, sound leadership and communication skills will be key to success.

Your focus will include:

• End to end review of all HR administrative processes across all stages of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment and onboarding.

The 39th WAGGGS World Conference is a four-day event that will take place in Cambodia in June 2026 in partnership with the host organisation, the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia. This is the main platform for decision-makers in our 153 Member Organisations to gather for networking, learning and consultation on the direction of the Movement. A pre-event for youth attendees under the age of 30 will take place before the conference. 

About the Role:

This role operates within a volunteer-led global charitable organisation with 153 Member Organisations. It provides the inspiration, knowledge and direction to continually protect and enhance WAGGGS’ rich legacy and expand its collective reach and impact. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and attendees from across our Movement - each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for maintaining the registration site and event website (using the events management software, Cvent) including individual event databases, providing reports as required and ensuring good communication with participants via email. 

2. Provide administrative and logistical support for all aspects of online and in-person Event Management. This includes assisting volunteers and staff with registration and platform issues, and, if appropriate, travel arrangements and accommodation. 

3. Ensure internal and external communications with Member Organisations, participants, staff members and volunteers and event suppliers are timely, relevant and of a high quality. 

4. Undertake the processing of grants, invoices, staff and volunteer expenses and other related financial administration ensuring compliance with legislation and WAGGGS policies and guidelines. 

5. Writing, designing, and sending event documents and communications on time. Proof-reading of the documents and communications before sending them. 

6. Be responsible for, and able to evidence, own personal development by undertaking relevant training, attending meetings, conferences and events ensuring that you are updated in all matters relevant to the role within your Personal Development Plan agreed with your manager.

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.  

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have colleagues offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.  

We seek like-minded women to join our enthusiastic team of workers, all of us passionate about the vital and valuable work we do to support women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, and tackling the wider issues of violence against women and girls. 

This role will deliver financial support including support with debt and financial abuse to women affected by Domestic Abuse.

We are looking for an experienced Innovation Manager to join our Transformation and Innovation Unit. The Transformation and Innovation Unit is a small but critical function that sits in the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement Directorate. The post-holder with work the Head of Transformation and Innovation on four focus areas:

• Income diversification: identifying growth opportunities and leveraging trends to develop new products and campaigns that will diversify Plan UK’s fundraising portfolio
• Optimisation and process improvement: finding ways to maximise impact and drive efficiency in the way we do things, making the best use of digital and data tools to improve our processes and deliver a great supporter experience
• Insights and supporter-centricity: leading the charge to becoming a truly supporter centric organisation, ensuring audience insight and data is at the heart of everything we do
• Culture of innovation: Building and nurturing a spirit of innovation and insight-led experimentation, empowering everyone at Plan UK to innovate with confidence

This is an exciting new role in the team that will support the development of Plan International UK’s fundraising portfolio, using audience insights to innovate and develop new sustainable fundraising streams that grow our income and deliver best-in-class supporter experiences.

This role will assist the refuge manager in the day-to-day running of the refuge, developing and delivering a front line service offering support, advice and guidance to women and their children living in the refuge
