The main purpose of the Grant Giving Coordinator is to lead the efficient and
transparent administration of the charity’s grant-making programmes, ensuring
that financial support is delivered to partner organisations in line with the
charity’s mission to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
The role is responsible for managing the full grant cycle—from application and
assessment to decision-making, monitoring, and reporting. The Grant Giving
Coordinator plays a key role in supporting applicants throughout the process,
maintaining accurate records, tracking impact, and ensuring that all activity
complies with internal policies, governance requirements, and charitable
objectives.
By coordinating funding processes that are accessible, accountable, and
outcomes-focused, this role helps to ensure that the charity’s resources are used
effectively to support cancer patients and their communities across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Programme Management
 Coordinate the end-to-end grant cycle, including application
management, eligibility checks, panel support, and award notifications.
 Maintain and update grant guidelines, application forms, and supporting
materials.
 Manage the grant database, ensuring accurate records of applications,
awards, reporting deadlines, and impact data.
 Respond to enquiries from individuals, and organisations applying for
funding.

Assessment & Reporting
 Assist in assessing applications against published criteria, and prepare
summaries and recommendations for grant panels or decision-makers.
 Monitor grant reporting deadlines and ensure grantees submit required
information.
 Support the evaluation of grant outcomes, including gathering feedback
and reporting on impact to internal and external stakeholders.

Governance & Compliance
 Ensure the grant-making process aligns with the charity’s policies,
funding priorities, and charitable objectives.
 Maintain confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards
throughout all grant-giving activities.
 Prepare reports for internal teams, funders, and the Board as required.

Stakeholder Engagement
 Build strong, supportive relationships with grant applicants and
recipients.
 Work with communications and fundraising teams to share impact
stories and promote funding opportunities.
 Support collaborative funding or partnership initiatives as needed.

We currently have two Night Concierge roles available within our Westminster service at Harrow Road and Royal Oak, and one position at the Launchpad Service in Newham. These services operate 24/7, providing short-term, emergency accommodation for people experiencing homelessness. The Senior Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in leading Alzheimer's Research UK's social media function, driving supporter growth, brand awareness, engagement, and income; as well as significantly advancing our influencing and advocacy goals. This role is a key investment in transforming our social media output, aligning with the broader Digital, Data and Technology and Strategic Marketing plans that are developing our future operating model.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling, integrated, proactive and reactive organic social media strategy that positions Alzheimer's Research UK as the leading voice in dementia research in the UK. This role will ensure our social media presence consistently reflects the highest standards of quality and creativity, while driving our strategic roadmap across platforms. Beyond responding to conversations and trends, this role will help the charity contribute to discussions, shape narratives, and influence public dialogue in ways that support our mission and values. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Strategic Leadership

· Social Media Strategy Development: Build on an existing comprehensive, integrated social media strategy aligned with our fundraising, brand, communication, influencing, and advocacy goals, ensuring it contributes to our organisational strategy.

· Team Leadership & Management: Provide strong leadership and line management to the Social Media Manager, continue to build a high-performing social team of five others, setting clear objectives, and supporting their professional development.

· Cross-Organisational Integration: Work closely with senior colleagues across the organisation to integrate social media into wider marketing and organisational objectives, ensuring a fully prioritised, holistic 'engagement-first' approach.

· Future-Proofing & AI Adoption: Lead the strategic exploration, development, and implementation of AI tools within the social media function, identifying opportunities for AI while ensuring human guardianship for brand consistency and strategic alignment.

· Performance Reporting: Be accountable for social media performance, providing detailed and accurate reporting to senior stakeholders, using data and insights to drive optimisation and inform future strategies.

Operational Excellence & Innovation

· Content Strategy & Oversight: Oversee the development and delivery of proactive social media content that resonates with a range of audiences across multiple platforms (e.g. people with dementia/carers, decision-makers, supporters, wider public). This content should come from multiple teams and sources; and this role will focus on ensuring the highest levels of quality.

· Breaking News & Responsiveness: Ensure the team can react quickly and appropriately to breaking news and channel-specific trends, developing and executing robust processes and protocols for rapid, impactful responses.

· Community Management Excellence: Champion and oversee best-in-class community management, ensuring empathetic, timely, and on-brand interactions with our supporters, stakeholders and the public.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

To support accurate financial administration and effective donor data
management. This role is vital to ensuring that income from donations is
processed promptly and accurately, enabling timely thank-you
communications and excellent donor stewardship. The role will also undertake
data work to enable the charity to manage its data effectively, monitor its
service delivery and impact.

Key responsibilities
Donation Processing & Stewardship Support
 Accurately process all cash and cheque income batches into our
fundraising CRM and finance systems.
 Process and code incoming donations from a range of sources, including
online platforms (e.g JustGiving, Raisely, PayPal, Stripe, CAF, Enthuse).
 Ensure all funds are banked in a timely manner and act as the main
contact for arranging cash collections.
 Maintain and update the donor database with accurate donation records
and supporter details.
 Process supporter Gift Aid declarations and assist with submission of Gift
Aid claims.
 Liaise with the fundraising and communications teams to ensure donors
are thanked promptly and appropriately.
 Flag anomalies or issues with donation data to relevant staff to maintain
high standards of data quality and supporter care.

Finance Administration
 Support the monthly reconciliation of income between finance systems.
 Support the Finance Executives with processing purchase invoices, staff
expenses, and supplier payments in accordance with charity procedures,
as needed.
 Support monthly and quarterly finance reports and audits as required.

Data Management
 Ensure high standards of accuracy and integrity of CRMs and finance
databases through regular data cleaning and maintenance.
 Help compile reports for funders, internal monitoring, and annual
accounts.

What you do

This is a senior and strategic role in our fundraising team. You will be

 Monitor donor behaviour and lifetime value to inform stewardship and
upgrade strategies.

Legacy and In Memory Giving
 Provide strategic oversight of legacy and in-memory income streams.
 Line manage and support the Legacy and In Memory Manager to deliver
agreed targets and KPIs.
 Support the development of a legacy marketing plan to grow our legacy
pipeline.
 Support development of relationships with legacy pledgers and inmemory
donors

Budgeting and Performance
 Manage income and expenditure budgets for Individual Giving.
 Track and analyse campaign performance against KPIs and ROI targets.
 Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.
 Report regularly to the Head of Fundraising on performance,
opportunities, and risks.

Cross-Team Collaboration
 Work with Communications, Digital, and Data colleagues to ensure
campaigns are well-coordinated, data-driven, and creatively delivered.
 Champion best practice in data protection and ethical fundraising.
 Stay informed on sector trends, regulations, and innovations in individual
giving.
 Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s

This is a senior role within the Fundraising team, responsible for driving forward
Weston Park Cancer Charity’s income generation strategy across key fundraising
channels, particularly within community fundraising, donor development, and
community partnerships. Working with the Head of Fundraising and community

creative community fundraising programme.
You will be responsible for managing a small, dedicated team of three, ensuring

meet community income generation plans to achieve and exceed annual targets
currently c. £800k per annum.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising:
 Lead and deliver an ambitious and creative community fundraising
programme, identifying new opportunities to engage individuals, groups,
schools, faith groups, sports clubs, volunteer fundraisers, and community
organisations.
 Maintain, develop and deliver a calendar of high-impact community
campaigns such as Time for Tea, that inspire participation, raise awareness of
the charity’s work, and generate sustainable income.
 Use insights and audience data to create tailored supporter journeys that
build long-term relationships, encourage repeat fundraising, and deepen
engagement.
 Harness audience data and insight to expand our fundraising reach,
increasing income in underserved areas of the region.
 Represent the charity at community events, delivering public talks,
stewarding key supporters, and raising awareness of WPCC’s work across
our region.
 Oversee the delivery of income and engagement targets, measuring impact,
evaluating outcomes, and embedding continuous improvement across all
community fundraising activity

Monitoring & Reporting
 Manage community fundraising income and expenditure budgets, ensuring
strong ROI and cost-effectiveness.
 Produce regular reports for senior leadership on performance, trends, and
forecasts.
 Ensure data is accurately recorded, monitored, and used to inform decisionmaking.

Team Management and Development
 Line manage and inspire team members.

 Provide support and guidance to the wider community and fundraising

Main purpose of post
To provide high-level, confidential administrative and strategic support to the
CEO and Deputy CEO, enabling them to focus on leadership priorities by
managing their schedule, communications, and key relationships—while also
supporting governance functions and ensuring smooth coordination with the
Board of Trustees and senior leadership team.
Co-ordinate and service all Board of Trustee meetings and committees to ensure
the charity is effectively governed. You will provide support to the Trustees as
required.

Support the Senior Leadership Team by co-ordinating and servicing meetings,
creating and monitoring action logs and administering the Risk Register.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support:
 Provide proactive administrative and strategic support to the CEO and
Deputy CEO, including diary management, meeting coordination, and
handling correspondence.
 Manage and prioritise emails, draft communications, and assist in the
preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
 Coordinate travel, event attendance, and speaking engagements for the
CEO and Deputy CEO.

Board & Governance Support:
 Act as the key administrative support for the Board of Trustees and
Board committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing and
distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, and tracking actions.
 Maintain governance calendars, ensuring alignment with charity
reporting requirements and deadlines.
 Support the CEO and Head of Governance & Operations in ensuring
compliance with regulatory and governance obligations (e.g., Charity
Commission, Companies House).
 Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and Trustees, and
support Board induction, development and off boarding processes.
 Maintain accurate records and filing systems for confidential and
governance documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement:
 Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO in a
professional and timely manner.
 Support the planning and execution of high-profile meetings and events
involving funders, partners, and supporters.

Office and Project Support:
 Assist in the delivery and tracking of cross-organisational projects led by
the CEO.
 Coordinate Leadership meetings including preparing agendas, papers
and monitoring progress against the annual plan
 Coordinate the reporting from strategic working groups to monitor
progresses against objectives
 Coordinate and prepare assurance documents including the Risk
Register, CEO report and regulatory or compliance documents, as
required
 Provide occasional support to the senior management team, as required
 Undertake any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.
 Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an
active, invested member of our team
 Able to work flexibly, including working occasional evenings.

Job Title: Children and Family Worker

About the role

Are you passionate about providing safe and stable accommodation to women and children escaping domestic abuse? Wanting to help make a difference and provide specialist support to them to gain greater independence? This might be the role for you.

As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities. 

You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support. 

About you

We are looking for someone who has a real passion to support families and children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will have a trauma-informed understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on families, and will be able to engage in sensitive conversations, recognising signs on trauma, and being proactive to support families to overcome this. This is a hands-on, active role, ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and passionate about working directly with families. You will be a team player, able to collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed. 

• A background in working with adults and children, particularly from trauma affected backgrounds
• Experience in supporting mothers in helping children transition to new schools
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging play sessions, after school activities, and family events as well as religious and national celebrations
• Confidence in working with children who may have behavioural challenges, being able to signpost to early intervention services
• Experience/ability to support children with special educational needs or additional behavioural needs
