What you'll do:
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication

As a Relationship Fundraiser, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Relationship Manager to strengthen and grow meaningful connections with individual donors, helping to advance North Yorkshire Hospice Care’s mission across Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice and Just ‘B’. Your work will span a range of fundraising activity: supporting sensitive and impactful in-memory campaigns, helping to deliver strong regular giving appeals, aiding the smooth management of general donations, and acting as an ambassador for legacy giving across the organisation. You’ll use CRM systems to maintain accurate donor information, tailor communications and deepen relationships, while collaborating closely with colleagues in marketing, events and volunteer management to deliver a cohesive supporter experience. You’ll also help with evaluating and improving fundraising processes, gathering case studies, reporting on KPIs and ensuring that donor journeys and stewardship activities are consistently warm, personalised and meaningful.

To excel in this role, you’ll be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding supporter care. Organised and detail-focused, you’ll have experience managing fundraising or engagement campaigns, analysing data for insights and working confidently across multiple projects. With strong written and verbal communication, proficiency in Microsoft 365 and CRM systems, and a proactive, results-driven approach, you’ll bring professionalism, empathy and enthusiasm to every interaction. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Association of Colleges (AoC) as an Area Director for the West Midlands region. AoC is the national voice for further education colleges in England, representing almost 95% of the sector and supporting over 2.2 million students every year. In this role, the Area Director is our senior representative and primary contact for member colleges across the West Midlands region. This is an influential role, working closely with college Boards, CEOs/principals and senior teams to understand and meet their needs. You will champion and represent colleges with key stakeholders, including devolved authorities, and engage members in AoC’s policy and public affairs work.

We are seeking a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, gained from working in a complex stakeholder environment. You will need a deep understanding of colleges and the further education policy and political environment, ideally supported by experience in the FE sector. Strong local knowledge of the region’s social and economic context will also be essential.

You’ll spend your days outdoors, meeting new people, and making a tangible impact for wildlife. It takes confidence and resilience - but it’s incredibly rewarding.

The Role

The Referral, Assessment and Operational Development Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director with new business development, coordinating and managing referrals, assessments, tenancies and transitions for our customers with learning disabilities and autism.

The working pattern for this role is:Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

What you'll do:
Referral & Assessment Coordination
* Monitor and respond to referrals from external sources and direct contacts.
* Maintain a current tracking system for referral clarity and produce regular reports.
* Analyse referral data to identify local commissioning needs and growth opportunities.
* Work with managers on person-centered assessments covering care needs, environmental suitability, risk management, and transition planning.
* Complete and submit needs assessments with costings and support package requirements.
* Coordinate the assessment process and internal referral meetings.
* Develop a responsive referral and assessment pathway aligned with best practice.
* Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders ensuring timely and responsive communication.

Desirable:

* Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice.
* Understanding of complex needs, forensic histories, and dual diagnoses.
