ABOUT THE ROLE
The Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme engages young people and teachers to change the attitudes, behaviour and culture of bullying by building skills and confidence to address different situations, both online and offline. We do this by bringing together young people and teachers from multiple schools at full-day regional training events across the UK. Each training day focuses on provided anti-bullying content which our Facilitators bring to life through engaging and interactive activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly organised, is reliable and is passionate about facilitating to young people.
Exact locations of school sessions will be provided to successful applicants but please be mindful that this can be across the UK, so a willingness to travel (with some overnight stays) is essential. (Travel and accommodation costs are reimbursed.)
ROLE ACTIVITIES

Deliver full-day, in-person training sessions to a range of primary and secondary school aged young people with the aim of empowering young people to tackle bullying behaviour in their schools.

Undertake preparation activities to familiarise yourself with training session materials.

Participate in supervision at agreed intervals with the Programme Coordinator and additional trainings and briefings as assessed appropriate.

Keep young people safe while participating in sessions by adhering to The Diana Award’s safeguarding policy and practice, including reporting all safeguarding concerns and disclosures to The Diana Award’s Designated Safeguarding Manager.

Book and expense your own travel arrangements, in line with our Expense Policy.

Collect post-training surveys and input data into Excel.

Labour Behind the Label's Advocacy Lead is responsible for engaging with key stakeholders in campaigns to call for better conditions in the garment industry and pushing our message in the media. The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults with a terminal diagnosis, and those around them. The hospice offers a 14-bedroom ward for patients who need round the clock care as well as a Wellbeing service – in total The Prince of Wales Hospice cares for over 300 people a year! Despite costing £12,000 a day to run the hospice and £4m a year, all of the services are entirely free of charge to patients and their families.

The Role
Volunteers support the delivery of the services at The Prince of Wales Hospice, their charity retail shops and fundraising activities. The Volunteer Officer role is an exciting new position, working with approximately 250 volunteers and coordinating volunteer activities. You will play an integral role in designing, delivering and effectively implementing volunteer management processes including promotion, recruitment, induction, training, ongoing support and management of volunteers.
Duties include:

Summary of role
Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, this role will provide critical support during a busy period, until the end of 2024.
Broad communications and engagement tasks range from content creation, maintaining project plans and records, handling logistics and the creation of communications materials for events, to processing membership applications and assisting with a new youth campaign.

Overall purpose of role
Key responsibilities include:
1. Broad support to the Communications and Engagement team, including:

Helping draft content for the Alliance newsletter, website and social media.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of research, farming and policy working as part of the GFM team to support the development of the GFM framework and its application on farm, in the food supply chain, for education and learning, policy and finance.
Reporting to the Head of Research of the SFT, you will join the GFM team responsible for a wide range of trials, in the UK and internationally. These include Defra Elms pilots, farm cluster groups, supply chain trials, and international trials delivered as partners of Regen10. Our trials test the application of the framework and the use of the GFM by other stakeholders.
You will work collaboratively with the trials team managers supporting the design, evaluation and timely delivery of trials. You will lead the quantitative and qualitative analysis of results and the design and reporting of feedback from participants, working with project partners, our trials team, and the wider SFT team to achieve and communicate outcomes. You will provide technical support to the team for the current GFM assessment and work with them and other project partners on the continuing development of sustainability assessments and data collection methodologies for application nationally and internationally.
The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to related work on the conceptual development and application of the framework in different contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team of trials managers responsible for a wide range of GFM trials, in the UK and internationally.
- Lead on the quantitative and qualitative analysis and interpretation of results and the design and reporting of feedbacfrom participants.
- Support the reporting and communication of results, leading the writing of key reports for stakeholders as needed.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of assessments used for the trials nationally and internationally - providing technical support including around data management, cleaning and extraction.
- Support the design and facilitation of workshops for trial farmers and farm advisors.
- Support the team to deliver their trials and meet trial deadlines, whilst sharing best practice and learnings across the team to build on the skills and strengths of the team across all trials.
- Contribute to GFM framework development and its application beyond the trials.
- Support the development of learning resources to explain farm sustainability and sustainability assessments to farmers using the GFM framework.
- Contribute to peer reviewed journal article(s) on the value of framework for building farm advisor / farmer knowledge and support for farm sustainability, and on adding a state-of-the-system approach to certification assessments.
- Work with project partners, our trials team, and the wider Global Farm Metric team to achieve and communicate our GFM mission and outcomes.
Relationships:
- Contribute to discussion and review of metrics and GFM team outputs and planning.

The Head of Policy and Public Affairs will lead and have oversight of all policy and public affairs activities; developing the function; establishing policy positions; delivering evidence-driven campaigns and effective stakeholder engagement; to secure policy change and funding to benefit people seeking advice and the communities served by members.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement effective strategies for policy and funder influence, ensuring alignment with AdviceUK's strategic objectives. Provide ongoing strategic oversight of political and sector trends to inform decision-making.

You will have experience of acting as a spokesperson including to the media, at events, to select committees and other government or funder-led working groups.
