Working closely with senior academic leaders and institutional stakeholders, you will lead a team that delivers gifts that are truly transformational.  You will build and deepen relationships with some of the most influential philanthropists globally and help to shape and drive Imperial’s next campaign.

We are looking for a Care Supervisor (Senior Care Assistant) with experience in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings.

The Institute of Medical Ethics was founded in 1970 – it is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity in England & Wales. As a charitable organisation we promote and support the impartial study and understanding of medical ethics and its integration into clinical practice through education, research, and publication.  

Since its foundation, it has established a leading role in the field of medical ethics in the UK and has been highly influential in establishing medical ethics as part of the core curriculum in medical schools.  

It has been a membership organisation since 2013 with around 200 members composed mainly of doctors, medical students, medical ethics teachers, bioethics researchers and allied health professionals.  

Major IME activities at present include conferences, online seminars, publication of web-based resources to support the teaching of medical ethics and awarding of grants and scholarships. The IME is co-owner with the BMJ publishing group of two highly-respected journals produced in association with BMJ publishing: the Journal of Medical Ethics (JME) and Medical Humanities (MH) with an additional online journal to be launched in 2025.

The IME is a small charity with staff consisting of the Chief Executive, a Digital Content Editor, the Membership & Administration Officer with support from a Finance Contractor.  The staff report to the Board of Trustees and work alongside approximately 70 volunteers that sit on the various committees and working groups. Committees and working groups are chaired by trustees.

The Learning Support Team provides targeted support to young people, helping them develop core practical and academic skills, broaden their existing interests, and explore new ideas. In this role, you will deliver both group and one-to-one sessions, including tailored Maths and English tuition based on individual needs. About the Role

The Diocese is seeking to appoint a new independent Chair to this important group, which oversees safeguarding policy, procedures, and practice across the Diocese. The Chair will lead a multi-agency panel that meets four times a year, with members also contributing to other time-limited safeguarding initiatives.

Working closely with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser and senior diocesan leaders, the Chair will set the agenda for safeguarding accountability, oversee strategic risks, and offer advice that shapes diocesan safeguarding culture.

About You

You will bring extensive, current, or recent experience in safeguarding children, young people, and adults, ideally within a Church or wider faith-based context. You will have a strong track record of chairing complex, multi-agency safeguarding discussions or strategic forums, demonstrating sound judgment and the ability to navigate sensitive issues with authority and care.

Your deep commitment to the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults will be evident through your work. You will also be highly knowledgeable about safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice, with the ability to apply this effectively in both strategic oversight and advisory roles.

Strong communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to provide independent challenge and support within a governance setting.

You will be sympathetic to the values of the Christian faith but not hold any current formal role in the Diocese.

About the Role

You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Hackney borough community, within Family hub settings as well as in Homerton Hospital. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

· Providing breastfeeding support to families within family hubs settings within Hackney and on the wards at Homerton            hospital.

· Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters. 

· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding                 Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.  

· To attend regular supervision/support sessions. 

· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all          support is accessible and inclusive.

· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 21 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This role is mainly based at family hubs setting across Hackney borough as well as in Homerton Hospital.

As Head of Programmes, you will be the driving force behind our mission, responsible for overseeing our projects, ensuring operational excellence to empower young people and their families to be the best they can be. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in organisational management, creative thinking, and highly effective planning. Ideal role for a company accountant / bookkeeper (must be at least AAT qualified) to manage the day-to-day accounts, as well as to contribute to the wider operations of this highly successful education provider that runs schools and teacher training using the Montessori approach.

Specifically, as Finance and Operations Officer, reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA), your remit will include:

• accounts receivable/payable, credit control, reconciliations, and audit preparation;
• providing financial and operational support to staff throughout the organisation;
• supporting HoFA to prepare and deliver accurate and regular management accounts, budgets and forecasts, one-off finance reports, and grant reporting;
• overseeing facilities management, ensuring the maintenance and security of all buildings;
• working with School and Training Centre staff to carry out risk assessments where appropriate and monitor all sites to ensure that they are carried out and comply with risk assessments; and
• overseeing Early Years Funding (EYF) for all school sites.

Key requirements include:

• AAT qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
• strong numeracy skills and confidence handling financial information, with experience of bookkeeping or finance systems (e.g., Sage 50) or a willingness to learn
• an understanding of facilities, health and safety, and data protection.

Equally important will be your excellent organisational skills; your initiative; a hands-on approach and a proven track record of seeing projects through to completion. Good oral and written communication skills are also key.

Experience within a school and / or not-for-profit organisation is desirable, albeit not essential. Experience with grant management processes would also be highly desirable.
