Barnardo's and Amazon have joined together to pilot a project which aims to support and transform the lives of young people who are not in education, employment, or training. The pilot took place in Tilbury, Essex, and due to the success, we are developing further sites across the nation. The aim of the programme is to equip young people aged 18-29 with the skills, confidence, and ambition to pursue their goals of finding employment, apprenticeships or further education and training. Amazon are offering real employment opportunities within their Bristol warehouse and the young people we are supporting will be invited to apply, interview and work for Amazon.
The role will provide a pivotal role to the development of the Barnardo's programme in Bristol and surrounding areas. Working with vulnerable young people who are not in education, employment or training, this role focuses on supporting young people through a 10week motivational programme and includes improving employability skills, confidence, and self-esteem work.
You will work assertively and creatively to engage with hard-to-reach young people. You will lead and develop the work in this area and will be responsible for providing quality Information, Advice and Guidance.
This post will involve some travel around the Bristol area. The post is 12month funded with a review for potential continuation funding.

Due to service development, we have a fantastic opportunity for dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Supervising Keyworkers to join Barnardo's as part of the Greater Manchester Keyworking Service for Children and Young People (CYP) with Learning Disability and/or Autism.
The keyworker role has 2 main functions:
1. Supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and young autistic people within their home or the setting where the child or young person is living or staying. Providing 1:1 support for the child or young person, and family. co-ordinating links with peers, community networks and other services, to secure the most appropriate provision to meet need now and in the future. The service tries to prevent avoidable admissions to hospital.
2. Understanding from the child or young person and their family experience, what supports a good family life and what gets in the way. This information will be shared in reports and at strategic meetings.. We currently have 4 full time posts available on a permanent contract. The service covers Greater Manchester and the service is split into 5 teams. Each team has a team manager that you will directly report to and work closely with. The team offices are in Rochdale, Stockport, Salford, Manchester and Bolton. As a Senior Supervising Keyworker, you will have knowledge, experience, passion, commitment and confidence to line manage and provide guidance to the team of keyworkers supporting CYP and families. This experience may have been gained in education, NHS services or social care roles through Statutory, Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise or other providers. You will be part of the on-call rota system providing out of hours guidance, this averages one week in every 10 - 12 weeks for which there is an on-call payment.

Official Job Title: Early Literacy Interventionist
Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you keen to work with children to support and develop their phonics and reading skills?
38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children.
We are seeking a part-time Early Literacy Interventionist (ELI), based at Galleywall Primary School in Southwark, South London. This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.
For your caseload of target children, you will conduct an initial baseline assessment and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

Previous fundraising experience is desirable, but someone with drive and passion is essential. Training and mentoring will be provided to develop the corporate fundraising skills, which set Claire House apart from other charities.
You will play a key role in delivering the corporate fundraising strategy, identifying gaps in the market, and seeking opportunities from both new and lapsed corporates. You will also have the ability to maximize income and will be responsible for developing existing relationships.
This role is full time 37.5 hours per week. This is a hybrid role, and you will work from both our Wirral and Liverpool sites, as well as out in the community.
