The vacancy
You will be central to the leadership and management of Outward Bound and realising the ambition set out in The Next Horizon, leading the financial stewardship of the organisation. You will both oversee the management of the organisation’s financial resources and provide leadership in their utilisation to further the charity’s mission. You will also be responsible for the organisation’s environmental sustainability journey, and for IT, Digital, and trust-wide systems and processes.
The location for the post-holder is flexible, although will require frequent working from the Head Office near Penrith and regular travel for Board, Senior Management and other meetings.
About you
The successful candidate will be central to the leadership and management of the charity in the coming years working closely with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team. You will be astute, collaborative, risk aware, have an attention to detail and thrive on working in a fast paced environment.
A fully qualified accountant with proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the whole finance function, you will have substantial financial leadership and commercial acumen. Experience in a national level organisation of comparable complexity is also required.

Responsibilities:

Reporting and Presentations : Assist with the preparation of key reports, dashboards, and presentations summarising key findings, trends, and insights from impact and evaluation activities for fundraising purposes, including developing content for social media.
Evaluation Planning: Assist the implementation of evaluation plans for specific programs or initiatives. Contribute to planning large-scale projects, including the selection of appropriate evaluation methods, data collection tools, and evaluation frameworks.
Survey Administration: Assist with the design, administration, and analysis of surveys to gather feedback from grantees, staff, and other stakeholders. Monitor and act on grantee feedback, sharing relevant results with key staff.
Research Administration: Schedule and undertake interviews/focus groups, supported by the I&E Manager. Manage administrative activities such as contact with participants, transcription and coding.

Key responsibilities

7. Data integrity
· Keep comprehensive records of all trust and grant fundraising activities and be able to report the impact to funders and stakeholders via various methods.
· Hold high levels of data integrity and be a keen supporter of using technology to support efficiency, accuracy, and accountability.
· Help to implement, develop, and then maintain the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) ensuring all activity is inputted accurately and efficiently and that you contribute towards its continuous improvement.

We are currently at the beginning of an exciting and ambitious program to transform our organisations Digital, Data and Technology - becoming a trusted partner for colleagues in the organisation.
In the last year we have implemented a new CRM platform based on Salesforce and Azure platforms while continuing to adapt to modern ways of working post pandemic that have changed how our physical locations are best utilised.
As Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our current physical network hardware and solutions while we look to adopt a cloud first approach moving away from our current dependency on physical locations and legacy services.
You'll work closely with the wider technology team on the development of our office infrastructure as we look to expand our current use of Meraki solutions to support us in providing office services to several charity partners alongside Save the Children UK.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring our office and server platforms network connectivity to ensure availability, uptime, and responsive systems for the organisation using tools such as WhatsUpGold and Meraki portals and Azure monitor
- Maintaining our server platforms network connectivity, whether on premises, in private cloud or public cloud
- Maintaining and developing our physical office locations connectivity for end users and tenants alongside our Facilities team
- Working with our partners to maintain our WAN and cloud connectivity
- Helping implement solutions that are secure and follow Zero trust principles
- Maintaining current technologies such as Fortigate firewalls
- Implementing new technologies such as Zscaler and Azure Firewall
- Providing connectivity solutions that meet business requirements
- Documenting current and future solutions to ensure accountability and to promote Team and Organisation understanding of technologies.
About you
You'll have a track record of delivering solutions/platforms that empower organisations and understand how networks and connectivity provide the backbone of solutions and how critical infrastructure is to delivering business services.

- Significant experience in a hands-on role delivering enterprise class networking – switching, routing and Wifi

The Door is a Christian youth charity based in Gloucestershire, established in 1991 for the benefit of all young people aged 11 to 25 and their families. We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Bid Coordinator to join our Fundraising Team. Within the team you’d be responsible for generating income from The Door’s fundraising portfolio to meet our budgeted current and future service delivery needs, and specifically for raising income from grants and tender bids. This is an exciting opportunity to join Child Bereavement UK as we look to recruit a full time Bereavement Support Service Lead, to lead and manage a team to set up a new service in Birmingham that will provide bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings.
The postholder will lead in the provision, coordination, evaluation and ongoing development of a new bereavement support service in Birmingham. About the role
Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Finance is responsible for leading a team of 5 and overseeing the day-to-day financial management of the charity, supporting and developing its financial strategies.
