About the Role
We are seeking a HR Administrator to join our Human Resources team at Coram.
This is an exciting opportunity either for an individual who is looking to develop their HR skills in an experienced and supportive HR team or who has relevant HR experience and is looking for a new challenge.
This multi-faceted HR administration role covers all parts of the employee life-cycle, along with opportunities to get involved in projects such as TUPE, well-being, and recruitment and retention strategies. You will work closely with one or more business partners to support specific entities within the Group and will play an integral role in providing an efficient and effective HR service that adds value to the wider organisation.

OFFICE OPERATIONS AND EVENTS

Act as a first point of contact for enquiries coming into both general and programme specific inboxes, via the website and phone.

Support on the smooth running of the London office. Tasks may include managing post, stationery orders, preparing and packing resources for training and events, and supporting on any other duties as required.

Act as one of the designated fire marshals and first aiders for the London office, with occasional support at other events as required (please note full training will be provided in these posts)

Support on the smooth running of organisational and programme events, including staff away days, and school events. Tasks may include managing guests lists and correspondence, liaising with event suppliers/contractors/schools, preparing and circulating briefing packs, attending and supporting at events when required, and any other event administration duties as required.
PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Managing programme specific communications related to our Award & Development and Mentoring programmes via email, phone, and website, including but not limited to general enquires and continued engagement with programme participants and volunteers.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are kept across programme databases (Excel and Salesforce)

Managing programme resources, including stock counts, and organising couriers.

Processing application data, and event registrations across the two programmes, including due diligence check processes such as DBS, right to work and reference checks.

Support with the onboarding of mentors and award recipients across the two programmes, ensure that all personal data and consent forms are collected and stored appropriately and in line with organisation policies.

Support in outreach to schools and mentors, including supporting online volunteer networks, as well as creation of email templates and resources

Support with the delivery of the Diana Award Development Programme, including scheduling Diana Award recipient blog posts and signposting to opportunities (both internally and externally).

Maintaining and updating volunteer expense processes in collaboration with Finance Team

Supporting with the organisation of programme events and training such as but not limited to, Online careers fair, career lounges, mentor networking and training sessions, annual volunteer appreciation events, award recipient networking events and opportunities.

One of the nine members of the Coram group, Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is the UK’s specialist centre for children’s rights in education, immigration, community care and family law, and provides significant international legal systems consultancy. We champion access to justice through information and advice, legal practice and representation, policy and strategic litigation. Our Legal Practice Unit provides advice and representation primarily under legal aid contract. Our Migrant Children’s Project promotes the rights of refugee and migrant children, young people and families through the delivery of advice, practice change through training and capacity building to professionals and systems change through research, policy and advocacy.
About the role
This role will provide financial and operational leadership and management for CCLC particularly focussed on the Legal Practice Unit and the Migrant Children’s Project but with support for the Child Law Advice Service and Coram International where required. Managing a small finance team, the role will hold primary responsibility for core financial functions within CCLC including legal aid billing and management and tracking of grant and other charitable funding. Through systematic and efficient financial management, the post holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial sustainability. The role will act as a key point of contact with Coram’s central finance team and a range of internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
The role will also oversee the smooth running of the London and Colchester offices through line management of operations and administrative staff.
The role would suit a high organised and efficient business support professional with experience of financial management within the legal or charity sector. In particular, candidates with experience of legal billing and more specifically, civil legal aid billing, would be welcomed.
This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the finance and operations team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period (to be negotiated with the successful candidate).The finance team are split between the London and Colchester offices and the post holder should expect some travel to both locations. The large majority of the legal and policy team are based in London and as such regular (at least twice weekly) presence in our London office will be expected. However, on other days the candidate could be based in the London or Colchester office.
Whilst this is a full-time position, we will consider requests for part-time working (28 hours per week minimum) and we will endeavour to offer some flexibility with days and hours to be agreed.

CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.
The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. We are looking for a Project Leader, well organised, with bags of energy and a sense of fun to join our team and coordinate two reading projects in Kensington & Chelsea and one in Lambeth. You will manage the delivery element of the role from a base within the local community (where we keep a book stock and all equipment needed) from about 4.00-7.00pm. You will also from time to time be reading with and visiting families yourself, so you must be capable of lifting boxes, carrying rucksacks and pulling trolleys of books, walking around the estate and up and down stairs. Administration will be done at home/office.
You will need to have outstanding interpersonal skills to build relationships with both our dedicated volunteers and the whole family. You will inspire a love of reading in the children we visit and be a friendly face for their parents/carers, providing support and information where needed. You will be confident, practical and able to think on your feet.

We are looking for a freelance Finance & Operations Officer - ideally with charity experience and familiar with Xero - who can support our core team of four as it takes the charity to the next level. Using a network of music industry professionals and youth workers, Grounded Sounds offer engaging, top quality programmes in a highly welcoming and supportive environment. The programmes don’t just develop musical talent; they build young people’s confidence and life skills.
As Finance & Operations Officer, you will report to the Chief Executive and help with all ‘back office’ activities for the charity. These include: all bookkeeping activities; producing monthly and annual financial reports; managing and overseeing the use of Views, our Monitoring and Evaluation system from Substance; supporting the Chief Exec in ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date; and supporting the team with analysis and reporting to funders.
