Key aim of the job role:

The role will drive Anawim’s trusts and foundations fundraising, ensuring vital income to sustain and grow Anawim's services. You will build on relationships with existing funders and identify new funders to raise significant funds from trusts and foundations, including six- and seven-figure funders. You will have a proven track-record of making successful high-quality, creative funding applications. You will work collaboratively across teams to ensure funding is aligned with operational needs and identify any funding gaps.

Alongside income generation, you will provide leadership, coaching, and strategic guidance to colleagues. This role is crucial in securing long-term, flexible income that enables Anawim to continue to deliver its essential work.

Volunteers are the backbone of our operation at FareShare South West (FSSW). We have over 350 volunteers from a myriad of backgrounds, who make up 90% of our team. The volunteers help with every aspect of the operation, from driving vans, picking orders, to administrative duties. FSSW has built a successful volunteer programme which supports a wide demographic of people and multiple motivations for volunteering. This role will take a lead on all aspects of recruitment, retention, and development of our volunteer programme during this exciting time in the charity as we expand. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

Volunteer Recruitment  

• Work with the Communications and Volunteering teams to actively promote the volunteer programme across Bristol

• Work with the wider FSSW team to support and develop volunteering opportunities for corporate supporters and food partners; taking a lead in the delivery of corporate volunteering events 

• Use and improve on existing processes to manage recruitment from initial enquiry through to successful onboarding of prospective volunteers and partners  

• Develop outreach activities to increase diversity, social impact, and community engagement 

• Work with Head of Employability & Volunteering and the wider team to ensure sufficient dependable volunteers to meet the operational needs, working to KPIs 

• Work with the Volunteer Coordinators to identify fluctuations in the volunteer rota, and action accordingly

Volunteer Retention:

Position: Programme Officer

Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

Location: Sidcup, Greater London, and hybrid working of 1 day in the office and 4 days remote (subject to change)

Starting Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 gross per annum (based on experience) plus benefits

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. 

The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. The post holder will work closely with other members of the project delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact.

The Programme Officer will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
• Liaise closely with technical colleagues, Head of team, and Programme Managers / Officers on project support needs.

 Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools. 

Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects 
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
• Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

The Programme Officer will require the following combination of applied skills, knowledge, and behaviours to successfully contribute to team goals:

Required:

• An undergraduate degree in an appropriate subject 
• Up to 2 years’ experience working on project support or delivery within international development,  research and/or the consultancy sector
• Ability and confidence to work independently and manage their own workflows
• Good communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at the individual level and in representation of the organisation
• Excellent drafting skills.
•  Ability to understand and effectively analyse and utilise financial information

Job purpose

The Executive and Operations Coordinator provides essential administrative, operational, and executive support to enhance the effectiveness of Toynbee Hall’s Advice Services directorate. Key Responsibilities

1. Diary and Inbox Management:

• Manage the Director of Advice Services' diary and email communications to ensure optimal organisation and timely responses to internal and external queries.  
• Coordinate appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements, balancing the Director’s workload and priorities.

2. Senior Leadership Support:

• Organise, plan, and take minutes at senior leadership meetings, including handling logistics like booking rooms, arranging refreshments, and notifying attendees.
• Follow up on action items and ensure the implementation of decisions made during meetings.
• Prepare and distribute reports and other documentation to keep the leadership team informed and engaged.

3. Operational and Admin Support for Deputy Director of Advice Services:

• Assist with delegated tasks from the Deputy Director to support broader operational and strategic objectives.  
• Facilitate communication between the Deputy Director and other departments or external stakeholders.  
• Support and work on operational and admin tasks as needed.

4. Operations Team Support:  

• Assist the advice services operations team with administrative tasks, particularly in finance, such as processing invoices, raising Pos, tracking payments, etc.
• Support project management activities, ensuring tasks are completed within deadlines and budgets.

5. Communication Facilitation:

• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders seeking to connect with the Advice Services directorate.
• Manage the distribution of information to staff and stakeholders to ensure consistent and clear communication.

6. Event Coordination:

• Help plan and execute internal and external events, including workshops, conferences, and staff meetings.
• Handle all event-related arrangements such as guest lists, venue, catering, and technology needs.

7. Ad-hoc Support:  

• Provide flexible support to other senior managers and teams within Toynbee Hall as needed, including during special projects and peak periods.
• Coordinate and organise additional meetings and manage any emergent administrative needs.

• Proven administration or personal assistant experience, including significant experience working with senior management in a similar organisation.
• Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in using office software like Microsoft Office and particularly adept in spreadsheets.

• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all staff members. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Competence in handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality. 3. Personal Attributes:

Further information

• Develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships with service users
• Promote the self-esteem, happiness and emotional health of service users, encouraging and supporting them to express their needs, views and concerns

About this key role

Our successful candidate will be responsible for providing young person-centred holistic support aligned with St Giles' service delivery model and conducting robust risk and strengths-based needs assessments, prioritising safeguarding and ensuring appropriate interventions and escalation of risks.  Working closely and collaboratively with other members of the VESS team, you will also be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, plus make appropriate onward referrals and signposting to support services and positive activities, advocating for young people's access to entitled services where necessary.

An exciting opportunity to be part of a LGBT+ support service.The successful candidate will provide effective person-centred support to LGBT+ people living in Causeway’s specialist LGBT+ supported housing.Support clients to achieve tangible progress in areas such as tenancy management, independent living skills and training/education.Support LGBT+ clients to develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence. Equip clients for independent living and move-on to more independent accommodation.Develop support plans with individual clients that reflect their ambitions and aspirations with clear actions for achieving these. Contribute to risk assessment and safeguarding plans. Ensure clients settle into their accommodation and become familiar with the local area. Work closely with the Housing Team to ensure residents are complying with the terms of their occupancy agreements. Contribute to client involvement within the LGBT+ supported housing service. Be aware of trauma informed working, particularly with regard to trauma experienced by LGBT+ people. Ensure clients are linked into appropriate support services and sustain engagement with services.

You will work a combination of office, client-home, community, and home-based working. Causeway is a 4-day week employer, so you will work 32 hours over 4 days a week.
