This role provides essential support to the CFO and Head of Finance, driving their strategic financial planning initiatives and delivering high-quality business partnering across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts, and build financial models to project performance.
Conduct monthly variance analysis of financial results vs. budget/forecast to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Collaborate as a strategic partner with department heads to build robust budgets and communicate financial insights clearly.
Prepare the monthly management pack, manage departmental month-end reporting, and maintain key Balance Sheet controls.
Drive the enhancement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting frameworks, including automation efforts.
Essentials:
- Fully Qualified Accountant.
Strong Excel skills with excellent financial modelling and forecasting experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear insights.
Salary range is £65,000 - £70,000 + Bonus. Excellent Benefits include 10% employer pension contributions and private medical insurance.

The Role

Manage the delivery of partnership agreements, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and ensuring all partners receive the appropriate level of stewardship and recognition.
Act as the main point of contact for existing corporate partners
Coordinate and manage corporate partner events/hospitality.
The Candidate
Experience in corporate partnerships and sponsorships, ideally within the arts, culture, or non-profit sectors.
Ability to create new leads and contacts with a creative approach to business income generation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative but independent environment
Strong relationship-building and networking skills with the ability to engage with senior executives and provide high levels of customer care.

The Finance Manager will play a crucial role for the organisation, with responsibility for the charity’s finance function including day-to-day management and book-keeping as well as providing strategic support for the CEO. You will produce quarterly management reports in line with YCAT’s reporting framework, create project budgets and reports for funders, prepare the annual statutory financial statements and lead the relationship with the charity’s external auditors.
This role requires practical, hands-on experience of delivering the wide range of finance and accounting services required by a small business or charity; an excellent understanding of Accounting Principles; a knowledge of charity SORP and charity statutory accounting are highly desirable; solid experience of the audit and preparation of annual financial accounts are essential; you must already hold a full qualification in either AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA; practical experience of preparing management and statutory reports is required; and experience of advising senior leadership on finance matters to inform strategic planning.
You will be highly motivated by the charity’s work; have a sound working knowledge of Xero and Google Sheets/Excel; strong attention to detail, producing work with a high level of accuracy; excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to use information effectively and apply sound judgment in order to make decisions. You will be adaptable and organised in prioritising workloads; work effectively to deadlines and demonstrate integrity, understanding the care needed with sensitive information.
