MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
We are looking for a Data & Impact Manager with a minimum of 2 years’ work experience to lead, manage and ensure the effective day-to-day execution of DanceSyndrome’s Data & Impact work. You will lead on data collection and gathering impact and evidence through a number of different tools from various Stakeholders and analyse and interpret the results to inform Organisational Strategy and Operations. Part 3: MAIN DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities – Monitoring & Evaluation duties:
- To develop a robust data collection system for DanceSyndrome on an annual basis.
- To develop & implement flexible, user friendly monitoring and evaluation tools to gather impact & evidence from different stakeholders (e.g. beneficiaries who are people with learning disabilities, parents & carers, wider eco-system of partners and supporters).
- To ensure data is collected in ways that are accessible and co-designed, so that people with learning disabilities can help shape how their views and experiences are gathered and shared. This includes using creative and inclusive tools that reflect DanceSyndrome’s values of equality, respect, and inclusion.
- To ensure we use a consistent and streamlined approach to gathering data.
- To work collaboratively around data collection
- To have full oversight of all surveys and findings
- To update surveys as required e.g. where there is a gap in data collection
- To fulfil all funder requirements regarding data collection and reporting and to work closely with the Fundraising Lead and Communications Manager on this.
- To capture our daily activities & participation numbers (Including events) and filling in external data forms for our partners, for example Caritas Care.
- To share key learning and results with the wider team for organisational strategic development, funding applications and reports, relevant press and marketing materials.
Part 3b: OTHER DUTIES
- To undertake any relevant training as required by the charity.
- To follow all relevant charity policies and procedures.
- To contribute to the strategic development of the organisation by contributing at team meetings, writing a report for the Board on a quarterly basis and engaging with any other related work.

This is an exciting new role to head up DanceSyndrome’s Community work across Lancashire developing, nurturing, growing, and managing our community workshops. At the heart of our organisation are our weekly bespoke Community Inclusive Dance Workshops; ‘Everybody Dance’. These workshops are co-delivered by a qualified Dance Leader with a learning disability, working side-by-side with a non-disabled Dance Artist. As part of our ambitious strategy, we will be establishing several new workshops across Lancashire over the next five years and co-delivering inclusive dance provision for all ages from early years through to adulthood by 2030.
As Head of Community, you will oversee several vibrant and active communities; build community engagement and cohesion; and to collect, collate and analyse key data to demonstrate impact and to drive forward strategic planning and decision making. This is alongside developing and managing both strategic and operational long-term partnerships & collaborations across communities in the North-West and building and executing an engaging and effective Volunteer Programme to support all Community workshops.
This role supports strand one of DanceSyndrome’s ambitious strategy; Vision 2023; ‘To deliver an outstanding, collaborative, and high-quality programme of co-produced and co-delivered inclusive dance across the North-West’.
We are looking for an exceptional, experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual to represent DanceSyndrome at the heart of our communities taking our inclusive person-centred offering to the next level.
You will pro-actively support our timetable of weekly Community inclusive dance workshops ensuring they operate to the highest standards of Quality & Excellence and making sure that all systems and processes are in place in relation to security, registers and payments.
You will line manage the Programmes & Operations Manager and Data & impact Manager and collectively drive forward all aspects of our Community work to the highest standards.
You will manage key partnerships with Community Centres and be instrumental in engaging and onboarding new participants supporting DanceSyndrome’s ambitious Vision 2030 strategy to increase participation, and reach under-served and diverse communities, as well as executing our Children & Young People strategy working across all ages.
You will identify, understand and engage with key partners and Stakeholders who can support DanceSyndrome’s ambitions to be the ‘go to’ and ‘organisation of choice’ for people with learning disabilities, leadership opportunities and an inclusive unique co-led delivery model which doesn’t exist anywhere else. Through effective partnership working, you will work across sectors and reach under-served and diverse communities. You will also be able to identify key barriers to access, gaps in current provision across the region and seek valuable evidence to inform strategy and to feed back to funders.
You will be an extremely personable and approachable individual with a strategic mind, and persuasive manner who is able to reach and attract new participants, increase engagement in our Community workshops, and secure local community engagement to ensure the long-term sustainability of DanceSyndrome’s community offering.
You will turn leads in sales in a variety of ways from initiating unusual and impactful partnerships, growing the number of beneficiaries, increasing sales of our products and services, securing in-kind support and vital funding.

When a family member sustains a spinal cord injury it is a life changing experience for the whole family. They can feel very isolated and that no one understands what they’re going through.
Back Up’s Family Support Service is there to help. We enable a wide range of family members of all ages whose loved one is affected by spinal cord injury (SCI) to improve their wellbeing, build a support network and transform their lives through Back Up’s services.
The Family Support Coordinator will assist in supporting family members on an individual basis as well as in group settings as appropriate, together with providing support in the process of identifying, recruiting and training new family support volunteers.
A Family Support Coordinator will be comfortable and efficient with data management and GDPR compliance.

Main Purpose of the Role:
To manage, lead and support the Fundraising and Communications Team to retain donors, increase income and provide clear direction for our communications. This role will involve supporting relationships with sponsors of Action Duchenne’s International Conference, developing and implementing the fundraising and communications strategy, and reviewing our case for support for our core work and projects.
Specific Tasks:
The focus areas and key deliverables of this role are as follows:

Develop and deliver on a clear fundraising and communications strategy, with annual action plans and clear objectives and KPIs for team members.

Understand and keep abreast of sector trends and compliance updates relating to fundraising and communications

Develop and maintain oversight of all budgets, targets, forecasts and processes relating to fundraising and communications

Co-ordinate the prioritising of income streams, including community, individual giving, corporate, legacy and trust and grants

Research, identify, and where there is capacity, pursue income generation opportunities that match the objectives of Action Duchenne

Ensure Action Duchenne is compliant with all applicable elements of the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice, law, and the Charity Commission relating to fundraising

Research, identify and apply to Trusts and Foundations with a clear pipeline

Prepare reports for Trustees either for the full Board, or where required, to sub committees, which will include fundraising and communications progress against objectives.

With a team keen to learn, provide leadership and hands on support to ensure objectives are achieved

Undertake a review of all Communications materials, including social media and website

Lead by example across the team and organisation

Be part of, and therefore contribute towards and prepare for Senior Leadership Team meetings

Identify existing or potential events to develop relationships with funders, including Action Duchenne’s annual international conference

Feed in to the development of the international conference, led by the Head of Operations & Events

Work with staff across the organisation to ensure all elements of work are collaborative, specifically when submitting funding bids or developing the annual international conference

To maintain the contact database, keeping it up to date and accurate

Continue to invest in professional development in yourself and your team, including safeguarding

Identify opportunities, alongside the team, for cross team working - including residentials; family events; Science Educations workshops with regional meetups and education visits to schools and local authorities.

Obtain, decipher and provide training to the Support Team on new updates relevant to Duchenne families, such as DLA, EHCP and more.

Work closely with your team, to ensure that each family receives the best support possible, and that long-term support is provided.

Lead on the development and delivery of monthly reporting of engagement and support contact, which will feed into the wider All Through Support journey.

To work with the Head of Operations and Events to contribute to Agenda topics and speakers from the community; assign roles for the conference to the Support Team.

Establish a database for external stakeholders also supporting those living with Duchenne on a national basis, fed in to from the Support Team.

To develop a triaging and caseload process for the Support Team, and how best to regularly monitor this.

Be involved in the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers appropriate to your area of work.

Coordinate cover for the Support Team when there is sickness or leave.

Our Support Team raise awareness both within the MPS community and external agencies, offering information, advice, support, and advocacy in a range of areas including health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement. Ideal candidate
As Head of Support & Communities, you will exhibit strong leadership skills and have significant experience working within a health and social care or relevant field of work. You will have an in-depth understanding of the needs of those with disabilities, their families and carers.
You will primarily be responsible for the overall management and development of the teams and the services they provide. As the company safeguarding lead you will have an in-depth understanding of policy and procedure to protect all. You will be a relationship builder who cares about the community we serve and ensures that the individual (or family) remains at the centre of support.
You will have a good understanding of managing budgets and able to produce accurate monitoring/evaluation reports. Excellent IT skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales are essential. You will be self-motivated and highly organised, juggling many strands of work.
As a team player, you will demonstrate a willingness to participate in the day-to-day activities of the team, have excellent staff management and development skills along with the confidence to motivate and inspire.
You will have the passion to work with us to develop our services, play an active role in our senior leadership team and work with members and other key departments to move the charity forward to achieve its goals.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. which may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays. You may also occasionally be required to attend evening or weekend conferences and events. We have policies in place to ensure that any unsociable hours worked are fairly compensated.
This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week) however part time hours, with a minimum of 28 hrs per week may be agreed for the right candidate. Salary will be pro-rata for part-time.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we reopen services that unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. As a coordinator, you will focus and lead on developing and delivering our community service across the East Riding of Yorkshire through drop-ins offering:
- practical hearing aid support
- information on hearing loss and tinnitus
- hearing checks
You will be responsible for co-ordinating up to 15 drop-in services and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across the county of East Riding.
You will:
- Coordinate our volunteering team to deliver a high level of service at our RNID Near You drop-in sessions.
- Recruit volunteers across the East Riding of Yorkshire to strengthen existing sessions and open new sessions as required.
- Work with NHS audiology to induct and train our volunteers to high standards.
- Promote our sessions to ensure maximum engagement from local hearing-aid users.
- Ensure all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.
You want to make a difference in people’s lives and love to interact with various audiences, including volunteers, health & care professionals, and service users. You have experience managing your own workload and are able to work flexibly when required. You can motivate volunteers to assist clients with hearing aids sensitively, to give clear guidance and take into account individual wishes and health needs.
You are ready to work for a home-working organisation and have good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word. You will be able to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers and deliver an excellent service across East Riding of Yorkshire. While home based, regular travel to venues where we provide drop-in sessions will be required.
