About the role
This role will continue to develop and deliver Allergy UK’s youth engagement initiative for our existing Youth Engagement Group for young adults living with allergies aged 18-25.
This role will also need to recruit members to a new Youth Engagement Group for young people living with allergies aged 13-17.

The role of Youth Engagement Officer will be to engage with young people across the UK, to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence Allergy UK’s programmes and activities for young people living with allergy.
The successful individual will work to develop youth engagement opportunities which increase skills, confidence, and life chances through supporting young people living with this disease to overcome any barriers they face.
As a Youth Engagement Officer, you will have experience of working positively with young people and have a proactive nature. Organisation skills and initiative is a must as you will be the lead on our youth provision.You will be required to coordinate activities with young people such as online and in-person engagement, blogs, podcasts, learning and digital activities. In addition to this, you will need to effectively lead the young people to help them shape services for young people in the allergic community to better improve the standard of care that exists in the public, private and commercial sectors.
These activities will be centred on practice of co-production. We are looking for someone who wants to work as part of a team to engage young people, to highlight unheard voices and stories and promote progress and change through action.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, project manage and deliver exciting new co-production projects and establish positive links with young people and promote active participation in activities.
- Provide opportunities for young people to have a voice and support them in getting involved in Allergy UK’s awareness and public affairs to influence governmental change and improve services for young people with allergy.
- Create, develop and lead on the work of the Allergy UK Youth Forum.
- Support and develop young people to become champions and ambassadors for Allergy UK.
- Work collaboratively with a range of organisations including but not exclusively schools, local government, health and youth services and youth organisations.
- Develop training and development resources for young people
- Complete all required documentation accurately and within agreed timescales to ensure that contract requirements are met
- Work alongside the Operations Director and other staff advising them of relevant issues facing children and young people.
- Develop Allergy UK’s youth engagement procedures and practice.

The role

Financial management
In relation to the financial management of the Charity’s funds, you will ensure designated named funds comply with governance requirements and are utilised in accordance with their Terms of Reference. In relation to the financial management of individually funded projects, you will monitor spend against budgets through accountability mechanisms agreed with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust finance team. The postholder will be an integral part of the Charity finance team and partake in the annual budget setting process to the extent budgets relate to the Charity’s designated named funds or individually funded projects.
As part of your role in the financial management of individually funded projects, you will act a finance business partner to the broader Charity. You will be integral in liaising with fundraising teams to ensure the Charity is aware of new projects, live projects, and projects which have ended to help inform fundraising activities.
Financial control and governance
You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control across the Charity group, with the opportunity to take ownership of its two wholly owned subsidiaries: The Christie Trading Company Limited and Northern Pathology Developments Limited. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, supporting the Charity’s aim of maintaining strong governance across both charitable and commercial operations.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing the monthly balance sheets and income statements for both subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations are completed, and addressing any variances or discrepancies.

The Finance and Funds Business Partner is a newly created role that marks an exciting step in the Charity’s transition toward greater in-house financial management. Previously managed under a service level agreement with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, key aspects of financial management are now being brought into the organisation to strengthen control and governance.
Day-to-day financial transaction processing will continue to be delivered by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, therefore, the postholder will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their finance team to ensure seamless operations and continuity across the Charity group.

The People Services Administrator will act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR and Volunteering queries. The Partnerships Fundraiser will become a pivotal role for SCAA so we are looking for the right person to take the SCAA lifesaving message to corporate partners and help them deliver a real impact on lives across Scotland. Overall Purpose of the role
The Events Fundraising Lead plays a critical role within the fundraising team, combining strategic oversight with a hands-on commitment to delivery excellence. At a time of organisational transformation and ambitious long-term growth, this role is central to building the operational foundations and supporter experiences that will enable our 10-year vision to succeed. This role will provide clear direction and structure to the planning and execution of our event portfolio, while remaining close to the operational detail — streamlining processes, refining supporter journeys, and driving performance through data, insight and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for setting high standards across everything from partnership engagement to on-the-day execution. It requires someone who is comfortable working autonomously, leading high-value relationships with professionalism and precision, and bringing creative thinking to how we engage and retain our event supporters. The Events Fundraising Lead will also guide and support the Events Fundraising Co-ordinator, working in close partnership to deliver exceptional stewardship across the supporter lifecycle and elevate every touchpoint — from first sign-up to post-event celebration. Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead the delivery of a portfolio of flagship fundraising events (e.g. London Marathon, London Landmarks, St Thomas’ Abseil), from planning and budgeting to live execution and post-event evaluation.
- Take full accountability for event logistics, safety planning, compliance, supplier and volunteer coordination, and performance reporting.
- Act as the strategic lead and key relationship manager with external partners (e.g. London Marathon Events, contracted delivery agencies), managing high-stakes negotiations and ensuring our brand and supporter experience are protected at all stages.
- Develop and manage detailed event budgets, including forecasting, tracking, reconciliation and net income reporting.
- Design recruitment and supporter acquisition strategies (e.g. ballot, registration flows, digital campaigns, grassroots marketing), optimising for retention and ROI in collaboration with digital and comms teams.
- Provide operational guidance and oversight to the Events Fundraising Co-ordinator, ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency across all shared delivery elements.
- Collaborate on supporter stewardship planning and execution, ensuring high-quality communications, journeys and post-event follow-up — with appropriate division of responsibilities between Lead and Co-ordinator.
- Own the production and implementation of risk assessments, permits, insurances and safety documentation, ensuring all activity is compliant and appropriately escalated when needed.
- Evaluate events against defined KPIs, using data insight and feedback to improve delivery, supporter satisfaction and financial performance.
Work environment
· The post holder should expect to:
- Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.
- Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.
- Will occasionally be required to attend events in the evening and at weekends.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience
This role requires substantial, direct operational experience. Applicants without evidence of owning event budgets, long-term strategy work, operational logistics, and external partnership delivery will not be shortlisted.
Essential Experience
- At least 3 years' experience independently delivering large-scale fundraising events with full logistical and financial responsibility.
- Strong background in supplier management, live event operations, and compliance, including health & safety, risk documentation and insurance.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing strategic partnerships with third-party organisers (e.g. London Marathon Events)
- Proven ability to create and manage ambitious event budgets, including re-forecasting, reporting and cost-efficiency tracking.

The Digital Engagement Officer (Web & Content) will manage the day to day running and continuous improvement of Sands’ websites, ensuring every page is accurate, accessible and on brand. In this exciting new role, you will work closely with the Digital Marketing & Engagement Manager and our external web agency to coordinate technical updates, troubleshoot CMS issues and track progress on support tickets.

The Events Fundraising Co-ordinator plays a crucial supporting role in the delivery of our events fundraising portfolio. Job Purpose
We are looking for a Neonatal Lead to join the Wakefield and Kirklees and Calderdale Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships (MNVP).
Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnerships are a team of people working together to improve maternity and neonatal care for local people. They hold responsibility to act as multi-disciplinary working groups with the primary function of embedding the service user experience as a method for review and co-design of maternity services.
The groups are made up of an MNVP Lead, lay roles, women and their families, healthcare professionals such as midwives, health visitors, GP’s, local commissioners, charities, and community groups.
The Neonatal Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring that the experiences and needs of families with lived experience of neonatal care are central to the development and improvement of local maternity and neonatal services across Wakefield, Kirklees, and Calderdale.
This role would suit a person who is passionate about developing neonatal care and engaging with families across Wakefield, Kirklees, and Calderdale.
The role requires some flexibility in terms of time, but we also recognise and accommodate, where possible, the other commitments you may have, including work, parenting, and other caring commitments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Neonatal Lead will be an advocate for the service user’s voice, ensuring it is heard and considered in the planning, review, and improvement of neonatal services.
They will actively engage with families with lived experience of neonatal care, to gather feedback and understand their experiences.
They will build strong relationships with providers, commissioners, and other stakeholders to ensure that the service user voice is heard and influences decisions.
They will work to identify areas where services can be improved and advocate for changes that will enhance the quality of care for neonatal service users.
They will work closely with the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership Leads, share engagement information with the MNVP Leads in order to support them feeding in to local and national meetings and events, in order to share the service user voice and provide independent scrutiny.

· Lead on engagement with families with lived experience of neonatal care.

· Attend already established neonatal community groups in order to gain knowledge and insight into the experiences of those attending.
