We provide vital information, support services, and campaign for improved diagnosis and care. The Role

We are seeking a proactive, strategic Industry Relations Manager to coordinate our work across pharmaceutical and other commercial partnerships. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, this pivotal role will manage high-value contracts and relationships, manage impact reporting, and support the development of our organisational offer to external funders and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract and Relationship Management 

Lead on drafting, managing and executing commercial contracts

Support the CEO in managing key partner relationships, ensuring clarity, accountability, and delivery

Maintain a log of all agreements, deliverables, and reporting schedules, tracking and recording income

Produce clear, timely reports on income, activity and impact for both internal and external stakeholders

Help shape and develop a compelling offer to pharmaceutical companies that aligns with our mission and values

Identify new opportunities and work with the Executive Leadership Team, to proactively engage potential partners

2. Commercial Opportunities

Scope and evaluate new commercial opportunities

Make recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team on feasibility and alignment

Support the development of proposals and pitch materials for new income generating partnerships

Work with the Executive Leadership Team to support earned income generating activities across the organisation, improving associated structures and processes

3. Impact Reporting and Evaluation

Develop clear systems for tracking and demonstrating how contract income – particularly from pharmaceutical companies – is used across patient engagement and related activities

Work with internal teams to track all organisational events, and to gather data, stories, and case studies that show the real-world difference our work is making to patients and their families

Produce regular impact reports and tailored summaries for funders, awards bodies, and internal stakeholders

Support the creation of an organisational impact framework that aligns with our strategic goals and other requirements

Ensure all impact reporting meets transparency and compliance standards and is communicated in a compelling and accessible way

Support the CEO in Secretariat duties for the Board and Executive Leadership Team meetings, including collation of all reports and papers, minutes and actions.

Person Specification

This is a broad and varied role, so the key qualities we’re looking for are enthusiasm, initiative, a strong work ethic, adaptability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take on a wide range of tasks.

Join our passionate Community Fundraising team and play a vital role in delivering exceptional support to our incredible community supporters. As the Community Fundraising Assistant, you will oversee a growing caseload of supporters, combining automated supporter journeys with personalised touchpoints to deliver an outstanding experience. Working closely with Regional Fundraisers and the Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll ensure high-value supporters are identified and seamlessly handed over, while nurturing long-term relationships with our wider fundraising community.

Finance Systems Accountant (Unit 4 ERP)

About the role

This role will be part of the finance system team acting as a finance system business expert, administering, supporting and developing Unit 4 ERP. The role will also be critical in the execution of key Finance Projects, including the migration to Unit 4’s Cloud and the implementation of Unit 4s Financial Planning and Analysis Tool.

The role will support finance users and the wider organisation to get the most out of Unit 4 ERP by ensuring the integrity of accounting data, compliance with finance controls, robust workflow management and report maintenance and development.

The role will also liaise with our technology department to resolve issues, assist with system integrations and support the finance-technology strategy.

Please note that this is a systems role working within our finance team and not a role as a financial accountant.

We are open to a conversation about hybrid working as the majority of the team work remotely, with face-to-face meetings at least quarterly, normally in our London office. 

About you

This role would be ideal for a Finance Systems expert who has led on Unit 4 ERP in their previous role(s).

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience and significant knowledge of Unit 4 ERP
• Knowledge and ability to support, maintain and develop Unit 4 ERP
• Understanding and the expertise in finance system implementation, migration to Cloud and upgrades.
• Experience and knowledge of Unit 4 FP&A tool is strongly desirable
• Experience of analysing finance business requirements to support the effective delivery of technical solutions
• Basic SQL skills are essential

Main duties of the role:

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to develop and implement a robust strategy to secure income from corporate partnerships (e.g. employee fundraising, sponsorship, cause-related marketing, strategic partnerships, pro bono and philanthropic donations). 
• Manage a varied portfolio of corporate partners, ensuring that they are stewarded effectively through strengthening their engagement and ensuring partnerships are delivering against their objectives.
• Producing attractive and compelling proposals related to Terrence Higgins Trust sponsorship and partnership opportunities, as set out in the Fundraising and Organisational Strategy.
• Developing contractual agreements between sponsors and Terrence Higgins Trust to protect and deliver the interests of both parties.
• Be responsible for developing and implementing a yearly activity plan to co-ordinate applications and reports to funders to achieve year on year targets.
• Lead on the generation of creative, strong and impactful collateral to ensure applications, proposals, presentations and information attract and retain partners. 
• Ensure that the charity is generating sustainable, unrestricted income from the corporate sector by developing a varied portfolio of strategic and commercial partnerships, in addition to other types of partnerships.
• Lead on the account management and stewardship of successful partnerships, liaising with appropriate teams, ensuring that objectives of the donor are fully met. 
• Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to support brand awareness and increase awareness of the charity’s work through corporate partnership opportunities.
• Managing strong and enduring relationships with colleagues in relevant areas across the charity to ensure that partnership opportunities are optimised and ensure maximum value to Terrence Higgins Trust. 
• Ensure all information relating to each corporate partnership is accurate, up to date, documented on the CRM, prospect tracking tools, and well organised.
• Ensure that all donor communications are handled appropriately, promptly and courteously and that complaints and criticisms are logged, investigated and resolved, in accordance with the organisation’s systems and procedures. 
• Work closely with the trustees, senior volunteers and the senior management team to recruit and steward Corporate Partners.
• Contribute to the budgeting process for the Corporate Partnerships team and significantly contribute to the annual income budget. 
• Contribute to the strategy of the wider Income Generation Directorate, and participate in fundraising events as required. 
• Travel, as required, for donor meetings in London and the UK and occasionally work evenings and/or weekends at events.
• Stay abreast of changes and trends in fundraising practice to continually optimise performance, as well as ensuring compliance with changing regulations, including GDPR.
• Any other duties which are commensurate with the grade.

The Fundraising Officer role sits within the ambitious fundraising team and will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to deliver our strong events and community activities.

In this role you will be responsible for providing excellent supporter care to individuals who are taking part in events or organising their own activities, as well as managing our fundraising products. This includes managing the fundraising database; accurately inputting donations onto the database.

You’ll also be responsible for achieving your own income targets and objectives through proactively seeking out opportunities to promote fundraising among patients and NHS staff 
across our hospital sites and in the local community.

This is your opportunity to design and manage the delivery of a new and exciting programme of work for the Ambitions National Partnership for Palliative Care and End of Life Care, working with senior NHS and statutory and voluntary sector partners. You’ll also lead an innovative Marie Curie pilot focusing on working through primary care to improve end of life care in care homes. Your expertise and evidence-led approach will help shape decisions at local, regional, and national levels - creating a more equitable system for those at the end of life.

You will be responsible for: 

• Leading delivery of the Ambitions Partnership’s new work programme - setting clear outcomes, managing budgets, and keeping activities on track.
• Developing partnerships across the health and care system, fostering collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.

What will I be doing?

About The Role
We are recruiting for an Events Fundraising Coordinator within the Bespoke Events team. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.

As Events Fundraising Coordinator, you will support the growth, development, and delivery of our Bespoke events portfolio. You will be involved in multiple aspects of Bespoke events team projects, recruiting supporters, stewardship planning, creation and evaluation and maximising fundraising opportunities for the Society.

In this role you will work with the Events Fundraising Manager and Events Marketing team to plan marketing for selected events. This includes, writing and supply engaging copy as necessary and to agreed deadlines and maintaining and updating internal and external web and social media pages relating to Bespoke events.

The collaborative nature of this role will mean you’ll be building and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. For example, you’ll work with the Supporter Care team to provide excellent supporter care and support for all potential and current supporters. You may be required to manage smaller events, including leading on all aspects including logistics and paperwork and ensuring the fundraising database is updated accurately.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th September.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of working in events and you’ll understand how events work in the charity sector. You’ll be organised, with experience managing a project or process successfully and the ability to prioritise effectively. You’ll bring excellent customer service skills and the ability to answer supporter queries effectively and build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and supporters.

Crucially, you’ll be a good communicator who can work collaboratively with others in a team. You’ll be able to complete a range of administrative tasks that might be associated with fundraising, including working with databases and social media.

What you’ll focus on:

- Maintaining and updating internal and external web and social media pages relating to Bespoke events.
- Working with the Events Fundraising Manager to meet both income and expenditure targets as agreed with the Senior Events Fundraising Manager.
- Providing on-going briefings, updating key documents and materials as required, for use by the Supporter Care team.
- Providing excellent supporter care and support for all potential and current supporters using various communication channels – including text, telephone, email, social media and post.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining processes and resources to ensure the effective running of the Bespoke Events team.

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are excited to be working with a leading national charity to recruit two Content Assistant’s for an initial 2-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and CMS experience to play a key role in a website improvement project. You’ll work closely with content and product colleagues to tag and organise website content using a new system, helping users find the information they need more easily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and tag website content within the CMS (Drupal), making sure content is organised in the right place
• Apply a new tagging and organising system consistently across large volumes of content
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve queries and clarify guidelines
• Provide feedback to help improve the system where needed
• Support with wider content editing and quality assurance tasks as required

Person Specification:

• Experience editing and publishing website content via a CMS (ideally Drupal, but not essential)
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines consistently
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage large content sets to tight project deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive, with a willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Basic understanding of content design, accessibility, and digital user behaviour (desirable)

The Role 
 
As Deputy Shop Manager at our new shop in Skipton, initially, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the day to day running of the shop, recruiting volunteers, and making plans to ensure the shop is ready to open. You will then ensure the smooth running of the shop long-term. 

You will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Play an active part in running our shop in Skitpton, supporting the Shop Manager in implementing processes and ways of working.

• Provide cover for days off, holidays and sickness as required, with possible occasional travel to other shops to provide support if needed by the charity. 

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise the income and profit of the shop through active stock management, replenishment, and rotation. 

• Manage a team of well-trained volunteers in the absence of the Shop Manager and take every effort to create a positive retail environment. 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received). 

• Support the Shop Manager to ensure accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes. 

• Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all customers and supporters. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To ideally be educated to GCSE level or equivalent but not essential.

• To have eExperience of managing people/volunteers including recruitment and development.

• To be highly organised with good time management skills.

• To be able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

• To be able to use own initiative.

• To be resilient and adaptable to change. 

• To have good planning, guiding and motivation skills to successfully achieve targeted income is desirable.

• A willingness and ability to occasionally travel across the Yorkshire region as needed for training sessions and team meetings. 

• A willingness and ability to safely lone work. 

• A willingness to complete our pre-employment checks (to be undertaken once the role is offered and accepted) which include: 

• A check on your employment history, by seeking two references

• A check on your eligibility to work in the UK as per the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 

• To undertake a DBS check at the level relevant to your role.
