The MA, alongside a number of partners, are working to expand and develop how we support mathematics education. Central to this is the joint development of a new association that will bring together people from across the whole mathematics education community.

To help us achieve this, we are looking for an experienced and empathetic Operations & Change Manager to lead the successful integration of two office locations and staff teams within our association. This is a key short-term role, supporting both the practical and people aspects of the merger, ensuring minimal disruption to services and a smooth transition for staff and stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management or organisational development, ideally within the voluntary or public sector, and a passion for values-led leadership. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Management & Planning 

• Develop and deliver a clear, time-bound transition plan for the merger of two offices and their staff teams, which total around 10 staff. 

• Coordinate the logistical aspects of the merger, including workspace planning, IT/data transfers, supplier liaison and operational systems. 

• Ensure day-to-day services continue to run smoothly throughout the transition. 

Staff Integration & Communication 

• Work closely with the CEO to support team alignment, role clarity, and internal communications. 

• Offer interim line management, support and/or supervision to a small staff team 

• Facilitate team-building and change management initiatives to support culture integration. 

Stakeholder Engagement 

• Provide regular updates to the CEO and trustees. 

• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in and transparency. 

• Maintain clear and open communication channels across both merging offices. 

Reporting & Handover 

• Track and report progress against key milestones. 

• Identify risks and mitigation strategies as the merger progresses. 

• Provide a full handover and final report, including lessons learned and recommendations for long-term sustainability. 

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Proven experience managing organisational change projects or mergers, ideally in the charity or non-profit sector. 

• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to support teams through change. 

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to manage sensitive conversations with care. 

• Confident communicator with experience of engaging with a range of audiences, including reporting to senior leaders or boards. 

• Effective line manager with the ability to support, motivate and empower team members. 

• Knowledge of UK employment practices and charity operations. 

• Strong IT skills including an understanding of Office 365 and the ability to produce plans and reports. 

• Able to use own initiative, prioritise, make decisions and plan work to meet deadlines. 

• Access to own transport and full clean UK driving licence. 

Desirable 

• Experience in office relocation or integration of services. 

• Familiarity with safeguarding, data protection, or regulatory requirements in the charity sector.

Our client is one of the largest women's hostels in the UK for vulnerable women affected by homelessness. They offer support to women with a range of complex needs, including substance misuse, mental health issues and domestic violence, and provide these support services in a warm, welcoming and secure environment. They are now recruiting for a strong and supportive manager to help lead their Support Services. This role is initially a 6 month fixed term contract.

As Support Services Manager, you will line manage a team of frontline staff and will oversee the Support and Night services, consisting of 30 bed spaces for women with high support complex needs; the service aims to offer holistic support to these women, working alongside a range of partner organisations to facilitate a step-down move-on for women into semi-independent living. You will work to create and maintain key partnerships, continually ensuring that a high quality of service is delivered to all service users of the Project.

To be considered for this position, you must have significant housing management experience, as well as extensive knowledge and appreciation of the challenges faced by homeless women. You must have demonstrable experience of leading frontline staff, as well as significant safeguarding experience. You will also have proven working experience of contract monitoring and of setting and influencing strategy. Ultimately you will be enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated to leading a team to deliver the best quality of support to vulnerable homeless women.

Responsibilities 

IT Management

• Manage the operational IT delivery via Eikon’s IT partner (ramsac)

• Oversee and direct the work and tasks of the data officer (IT support)
• Attend quarterly management meetings with outsourced IT provider including technical IT consultant visits
• Oversee Help Desk approvals

For a leading global NGO, we're recruiting an Interim Finance Manager for 9 months. Supporting the Senior Finance Manager and Director of Finance and IT, the Interim Finance Manager will oversee the month-end processes, balance sheet and income reconciliations, VAT returns, and budgeting and reforecasting process. Supporting the UK Finance teams, this role will consolidate management accounts and budgets at group level and provide support and analysis to help decision-making.

What you'll be doing:

• Preparation and posting of monthly journals and assisting the Senior Finance Manager in preparing management accounts, and investigating variances
• Overseeing the monthly management accounting for central support functions, acting as their business partner
• Monthly income processing and reconciliations

Our Commercial Team 

We have a small commercial team with big ambitions for the sector.

Currently, we hold a single commercial contract worth around £3m per year delivered through 12 libraries. Our aim is to reach a point where we have a menu of commercial contracts that all of our 176 member library services can choose to benefit from according to the skills and assets of their service, their focus and strategy and of course the needs of their communities.

In the current funding climate for local authorities and local government services, these contracts are not just about the income and the services they can provide but about demonstrating nationally the power of the library sector, and how national services can be delivered locally through library services and the communities they serve.

Our approach is to identify and secure contracts procured by national government – either directly or with partners to extend the libraries’ capabilities – with an eye to local delivery through the library services. This allows us to centrally hold and manage the risk of the national contract, leaving the library services to deliver themselves.

We see libraries as a solution to many of society’s challenges and this is one route we use to bring the libraries into that solution.  

This area is part of our long term strategy – we are seeking to build the commercial team with this role and while it is initially a 12-month contract, our hope is that with the role in place we can generate the income to sustain and build on it.

Responsibilities of our Community Fundraising Officer:

About the role

As a Policy Fellow, you will be a core member of our policy team, working across a mix of short and long-term projects. Your primary focus will be supporting senior leaders in shaping our strategy for 2026–2030, through:

• Horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and challenges.
• Scoping and conducting research on strategic issues.

• Providing analysis and insight to inform decision-making

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Foundation, including those leading our strategic priorities on NHS and social care policy, service innovation and improvement, and health and inequalities.

In addition to strategic work, you will contribute to the work of the policy team. Our aim is to support evidence-informed policymaking to improve population health in the UK. We use a mix of in-house research, external commissioning, and stakeholder engagement to influence policy and practice. 

You will contribute to a range of projects, including responsive analysis of NHS performance data, and longer-term policy research projects on NHS reform, primary care, public health, and social care. We are seeking a collaborative and curious individual with strong research and analytical skills, including experience with qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Experience in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking will be highly valued.

About the role

As a policy fellow, you will be a key member of our dynamic policy team, contributing to a wide range of projects that influence the national health and care policy in England. Your primary Focus will be on NHS reform, exploring how the organisation of the NHS, regulation, payment systems, and other policy leaders can drive change, improve services, and reduce inequalities in health. Projects include the development of integrated care systems and tracking broader systems change in the NHS.

You’ll also contribute to our broader programme of work including responsive analysis of new NHS initiatives and performance statistics contributing to projects related to longer term policy challenges such as reforming social care preventing ill-health and boosting primary and community care.

• Lead and contribute to high impact research analysis to influence policy

• Conduct robust research using a range of qualitative methods and collaborate with analysts using quantitative methods

• Engage your stakeholders across the NHS academia and policy communities

•  Draft compelling outputs for diverse audiences’ blogs briefings reports and support the communication of our work through meetings events and the media

We’re looking for a kind and compassionate person to join our Family Support team, working directly with families who are facing the unthinkable – the news that their child has cancer or a life-challenging condition.

Primarily based at St George’s, Royal Marsden (transitioning to Evelina, Westminster in 2026), Kingston Hospital and St Peter’s, Chertsey. Travel to other partnered hospitals across London and Surrey as required. Includes at least one monthly meeting at our East Molesey office. 

As our Hospital Family Support Worker, you’ll visit children, young people and their families on the wards of our partnered hospitals. You’ll be a consistent, reassuring presence, offering emotional and practical support when it’s most needed – and helping families feel less alone.

You’ll meet families already known to Momentum, as well as take new referrals. You’ll also support families remotely who live further afield or are adjusting to life after treatment.

This role is about being that calm, empathetic and kind person who makes a difference just by showing up. You’ll be a trusted part of hospital life, and a key link between the families, Momentum, and the wider healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Offer emotional and practical support to families, being a warm and reliable presence during their hospital stay.

· Build trusting, non-judgemental relationships with parents, carers, children and young people.

· Meet families in hospital, explain our support services, and complete referral forms for further help.

· Work closely with hospital professionals, attending multi-disciplinary meetings, deliver training on Momentum’s service and sharing relevant updates with the wider Momentum team.

· Keep accurate records of your work, including family interactions and safeguarding concerns.

· Understand and follow all safeguarding, child protection, and lone working policies.

· Report any safeguarding concerns in line with our policies and procedures.

· Support Momentum’s fundraising and communications by sharing family stories (with consent) and identifying case studies.

· Ensure all actions reflect Momentum’s values and vision – that no family with a seriously ill child should have to cope alone.

· Comply with hospital policies around dress code, infection control, and health and safety.

· Attend team meetings in-person and online across London and Surrey.

· Complete training requirements relevant to your role.

· Carry out other reasonable duties to support the delivery of Momentum’s work.
