As Complex Needs Community Keyworker you will provide one-to-one support to women on Probation living in the community, and women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision. You’ll provide focused support in identifying their needs and empowering them to access appropriate services in the community. You will also provide some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support prior to women being released from prison.

You will manage a caseload of women with complex needs who are facing housing issues and provide them with advice, guidance and support that helps them connect with other support services in the community that can assist them to overcome barriers when securing safe and appropriate housing.

The role involves a significant amount of data recording and updating case management systems so you need to be prepared to spend a minimum of 35% of your working hours on this aspect and will need to manage your time effectively to meet the data management requirements. This is also a predominantly independent role, so you will need to be confident to make decisions and able to manage your own workload.

You will be employed by One Small Thing but will be part of a wider team of Community Keyworkers employed by our partner Advance. You will also have a desk space at Hope Street, Southampton, to facilitate close working with the rest of the Hope Street team.

You will be required to participate in training and team building events with the wider One Small Thing team as well as the Advance team, in Hampshire.

This post requires that you are able to drive and have access to your own vehicle; there may be occasions where you are required to support residents to attend appointments. You will also be required to attend local or county meetings or training.

About the Role 
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to support the Senior Finance Manager in the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. You will play a key role in maintaining financial controls, supporting the annual audit, processing transactions, and delivering timely financial reporting. The Finance Officer will be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, supporting effective financial management across the organisation. 
 
Key responsibilities 
To provide high-quality administrative and financial support across the Finance Department, acting as the first point of contact for finance enquiries and managing the finance inbox. This includes maintaining accurate records in QuickBooks, processing invoices, expenses, and payments, performing regular bank reconciliations, and managing credit card accounts. The Rise service, offers evidence-based individual and group interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, as well as supporting settings to develop their whole school/college approach to mental health.

Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) are a new role developed by NHSE as part of CYP-IAPT workforce development, and a new addition to our Rise service.

We are seeking an EMHP-trained Senior Wellbeing Practitioner with:

-3+ years post-qualification experience as an Education Mental Health Practitioner.

-Experience in delivering clinical caseload and clinical skills supervision to low-intensity practitioners (trainee and qualified EMHP & CWP).

-Skills in managing various duties associated with the role, including line management responsibilities, delivering supervision, and holding a small caseload.

-Ability to support the management team and clinical lead with strategic service development.

-BABCP/BPS recognised supervision qualification relevant to the low-intensity workforce. Though this is not essential.

The Internal Auditor role will undertake internal audit assignments, develop country-specific internal audit processes or thematic internal audits and work with our London and global teams to support external audit processes in countries of operation, oversee the global audit register, and with teams across the organisation advance effective financial management performance across the organisation

Job purpose:

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, the post holder will undertake internal audit assignments and compliance reviews aimed at improving Saferworld’s internal systems and processes. The post-holder will also support the development of financial controls and build the capacity of finance and operational teams to implement them effectively.

The role requires a high level of initiative; proven skills and experience in project management; experience working collaboratively with others to achieve our vision; and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The post-holder will have a successful track record in designing and leading internal audit processes and strengthening control systems, preferable at a complex organisation with multiple country offices/business units.  Additional experience working with offices/partners in/on conflict affected contexts is highly desirable.

 

Roles and responsibilities: 

Plan and carry out internal audits

• Draw up a yearly Internal Audit Plan based on key risks and an assessment of audit needs and agree it with the CEO in consultation with the Director of Finance and Operations and Director of Policy and Programmes.
• Carry out internal audit assignments across departments, projects, and programmes to assess compliance with financial policies, donor agreements, and statutory regulations, including negotiating terms of reference with relevant system/area owners, preparing reports, presenting the findings to the Senior Leadership, and following up on recommendations.
• Review financial transactions and accounting records, including data from SUN, to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Support necessary pre-audit preparation work related to external audits (both statutory and project audit) and assist the teams in ensuring smooth audit. 
• Maintain the organisation’s register of grant and project audits, ensuring that audit findings recommendations are clearly documented and shared.
• Monitor the implementation of these recommendations and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely and effective solution.
• Carry out special investigations, as required by the Saferworld CEO or Senior Operational Team (SOT). 

Strengthening organisational systems and risk controls

• Produce an annual review of the overall effectiveness of Saferworld’s systems of internal control and make recommendations and arrangements for identification and management of risks and produce an annual plan to address these areas.
• Report quarterly to the Senior Operational Team (SOT) on the annual review and plan.
• Attend the governance/Board of Trustees Finance and Audit Committee four times a year and produce a report for the meetings, including feeding back on learnings from internal audits carried out.
• The post-holder must maintain independence and objectivity in carrying out audits and investigations. They have direct access to the Board/Audit Committee when necessary.

You’ll oversee our editorial voice across blogs, email, social media, and digital content. The Role 

We are looking for a Supporter Engagement Assistant to join our Supporter Engagement Team to help us build strong and lasting relationships with our charity's supporters and donors.

Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Officer, as Supporter Engagement Assistant you will deliver excellent customer service over the telephone, in written (email and postal) communications and face to face, ensuring that supporters' details are accurately recorded on the CRM database. You will be representing the charity, explaining its purpose, and demonstrating our charity values to donors/supporters, showing appropriate empathy to those who may have cancer or a family member/friend who does.

This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to the people of Yorkshire and requires someone with a friendly manner, good team-working skills, great customer service and excellent organisational skills. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Ensure supporter communications are accurate, timely and appropriate to the recipient. This includes following the relevant pathways to process donations, record legacy pledges, update key information so that the communication is tailored and relevant to the individual supporter.  

• Work alongside the Supporter Engagement Officer and other colleagues to improve the initial welcome journey for newly acquired donors and the onward stewardship of all supporters.  

• Conduct research and contribute ideas to improve supporter journeys and implement these processes independently.  

• Update supporter records on the charity’s CRM database to reflect changes in marketing permissions, personal details, the charity's relationship with the supporter (e.g. Volunteer/ Donor etc) and any communications between the supporter and the charity.  

• Use the CRM database to run supplied data queries to deliver campaigns (e.g. using Mail Merge) and to create and deliver supporter communications, this includes printing and posting letters, sending emails, making updates to supporter records and fulfilling requests for information.   

• Undertake other duties and take on a lead role in delivering projects and campaigns relevant to the purpose of the role as requested by members of the CRM, Marketing, Fundraising or Research & Impact teams.   

• Assist the wider Fundraising team at charity run and/or external events to represent the charity, help achieve agreed targets and provide exceptional stewardship to supporters.   

• Monitor inbound emails and telephone calls to the charity, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning.   

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be ideally educated to A-Level or equivalent level. 

• To have customer service experience in a similar or related role (e.g. telephone/ databases/ office).  

• To have high computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.  

• To have previous experience of working with databases (e.g. Access or Raiser's Edge).  

• To be up to date with the requirements of GDPR and confident in adhering to these requirements.  

• To be up to date with Safeguarding and confident in raising any concerns.  

• To enjoy delivering excellent customer service and customer/supporter interaction.
