Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Programme Finance Officer to provide administrative support to the Americas & Caribbean Programme (A&C), and to ensure the timeliness, quality and effectiveness of its financial management, assisting the Americas & Caribbean team to produce, manage and report against programme and project budgets and to strengthen fundraising and administration of projects.

You will have proven experience in a similar finance and administration role. Your excellent budgeting and financial analysis skills will enable you to support Programme Managers and the Finance Business Partner in solving finance problems and ensuring up to date and accurate financial reports. You will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be a strong team player. The Opportunity

We are looking for a diligent and data-minded Grants Assistant to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the WFN grants team in monitoring and evaluating active grants, analysing and assessing the charity’s impact, and in the smooth running of our grants programmes. This is an entry level role, ideal for a candidate looking to put their conservation expertise into practice, and to support impactful grassroots conservation work around the world.

The Grants Assistant will support the Head of Grants and Grants and Network Manager in WFN’s application and review processes, grant management, and impact evaluation work, and will support the flow of information about the work our winners are doing on the ground to the rest of the WFN team. The Opportunity

This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing communicator who is passionate about conservation and can drive forward and create connections between our global network of over 220 conservationists, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity development and collaboration. As part of this programme the Grants and Network Manager (GNM) will help with delivery of annual thematic training workshops, with opportunity for international travel. The GNM will also assist our Head of Grants (HG) in monitoring our portfolio of active grants, with support from the Grants Assistant (GA). The GNM will also participate in the Whitley Awards application process by helping to screen the grant applications and supporting with due diligence. GRANTS AND NETWORK MANAGER - PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• CCAB part qualified accountant (desirable).

Experience

Purpose of post

This is a hands-on role for an experienced organiser who will lead key aspects of our community organising practice.
