About the National Memorial Arboretum
The Arboretum is the UK’s leading year-round centre of Remembrance and a proud part of the Royal British Legion. However, there are 5 teams providing the opportunity to offer support and create strong relationships and partnerships in a local area and with colleagues which include Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Tameside, Salford, Stockport and Trafford.
• Safeguarding knowledge.
• Good IT and recording skills.

This service is dynamic, no two days are the same, however you will have a number of children and young people who you will build positive and meaningful relationships with. You will manage your own diary with families, providing support at a time that suits their needs. This means you will be working some evenings and weekends. In return you will manage your hours so may benefit from later starts or earlier finishes. You will support in homes and the community and attend meetings with professionals and families to ensure excellent communication, a shared understanding and a team approach. You will support information to be understood, views to be shared, checking the right provision is known about and able to be accessed. You will work closely with health and social care partners. We aim to provide the right support, at the right time, in the right way. You may work by yourself or alongside colleagues depending on the support needed.

About the role

Reporting in to the Partnership & Strategy Lead, the Programme & Partnership Lead for Colombia will be the most senior and key programme, partnership and lead role for each priority country, maintaining oversight of a dynamic and responsive partner portfolio that aligns with organisational values and goals.

The post-holder will ensure Christian Aid's work in partnership employs a decolonised approach to improve locally led work and maximise impact. The role is key in exploring and contributing to multi country programme initiatives across the cluster. The role provides
oversight and leadership to embed a culture of impact. The role plays a lead role in convening spaces with partners and key stakeholders, including faith leaders, and catalysing for change. It plays a key role in strengthening civil society, and fostering coherent linkages among programme, humanitarian and advocacy interventions across priority countries.

The role works collaboratively with partners to shape our response to poverty across the priority countries, to enable a culture of continuous learning. The role leads on ensuring that initiatives contribute to impact in CA’s four global thematic areas.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Programme & Partnership Lead - Colombia include:

• Drive and lead the programme/project delivery ensuring that it is connected to work across the cluster.
• ‘Horizon scan’ to identify new potential partners that would enhance impact, and review portfolio under each of the 4 CA thematic areas (plus sub-themes of resilience, protection and inclusion) to maximise impact.
• Drive and enhance collaboration with partnerships and Christian Aid (convening) to effectively co-design, develop, plan, budget, implement, evidence, learn and communicate the impact from interventions within the programme. This will involve strengthening our collaboration with church leaders and FBOs, as part of bringing to the fore our faith identity and aligning with organisational values and goals.
• Manage a priority programme partner portfolio and ensure a collaborative approach in project design and delivery with partners to drive meaningful change.
• Be accountable for donor reporting and compliance, supporting proposal co-development and design with partners to foster a mindset of support and connection
• Lead in convening regular programme review, learning and reflection spaces with partners and key stakeholders, and when we bring CSOs together to enhance our mutual impact.
• Lead on representation for the programme and on country specific issues, and on ACT Alliance collaboration, including exploring joint programming.

North Wales Community Law is a charity established in 2023 that provides free legal advice to people in North Wales. We have a small team of caseworkers and we want to grow our team to enable us to support more people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to our vision to make sure that everyone in North Wales has access to the services and expertise they need to uphold their rights, fight inequality and challenge injustice.

We are looking for a solicitor or experienced caseworker to provide specialist housing or family law casework and advice under the supervision of our Legal Services Director. Based in our offices in Llandudno Junction, the role will involve regular travel to community based outreach clinics in North Wales, particularly Gwynedd and Ynys Mon.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of relevant Welsh housing legislation and qualified solicitors with experience of legally aided civil litigation.

Duties

• To provide legal advice and casework assistance and give appropriate advice and support to clients, managing your own caseload and making applications for public funding as required.
• To liaise with landlords’ and other parties’ representatives, solicitors, other agencies and groups as required.
• To ensure that all casework, advice, and assistance complies with the requirements of the organisation’s processes, accreditations and, where publicly funded, complies with the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency.
• To collate evidence and work in partnership with other advice providers locally and regionally to influence the development of policy and legislation in relation to housing and domestic abuse.
• To undertake outreach work, including liaising with local communities, delivering talks and presentations to groups, and visiting community settings as appropriate. Work from various locations as reasonably required.
• To inform and participate in our public legal education work, to promote North Wales Community Law and a rights-respecting culture in north Wales.
• To actively engage with local community groups and organisations, bringing together our experience, skills and knowledge with that of others, sharing learning wherever possible.
• To prepare reports on your own work for the information of the Trustee Board, funders and other stakeholders, as required.
• To actively contribute to internal meetings, including cascading learning.
• To attend appropriate training courses and maintain readership of relevant publications to maintain and develop professional expertise.

• Experience of delivering housing or family law advice and complex casework - advising and supporting clients through the legal system
• Ability to manage a busy caseload, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Experience of legal aid processes, meeting financial targets and time recording requirements using case management systems.
• Good organisational, prioritising and time management skills.
• Experience of team and multi-agency working.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with the organisation’s client group.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Archivist and Records Manager to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Rhodes Trust Archive.

We are looking for the successful candidate to start with us in December.

The role

The role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Rhodes Trust Archive, including maintaining an enquiries service for internal and external users, appraising and accessioning new material and cataloguing records. This includes both hard copy records in off-site storage and electronic records, in the organisation’s digital archive. There is also some responsibility for managing current and semi-current records within the organisation, including working with colleagues on data protection and retention.

The role will be responsible for;

· Maintaining an archives enquiries service for the general public, staff, Trustees and Scholars, including carrying out research on behalf of users, and arranging access to view archive material

· Appraisal, selection and cataloguing of uncatalogued records, including both hard copy and digital material

· Assisting the Trust with the ongoing management of records under data protection legislation and good practice

· Evaluation and implementation of digital archiving, including establishing procedures for ongoing transferal of records to the archive

· Promotional work including displays, and presentations, and writing articles on topics relevant to archives and records.

· Role modelling the Trust’s organisational values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation.

· Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

· A first degree, and a postgraduate qualification recognised by the Archives and Records Association (ARA) is essential

· Working knowledge of GDPR

· High level written and spoken communication skills including the ability to draft correspondence independently

· Confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy

· A high level of initiative, efficiency, and attention to detail

· Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively, and work without direct supervision

· The ability to undertake research in order to analyse and understand the archives

· Proficient Microsoft Office and database skills, including an aptitude to use IT to best enhance efficiency, and adapt to rapidly evolving IT packages and systems.

· Previous experience working in a similar role.

About the role:

These roles are home-based but there may be a need to travel around the region on occasion.

As a Service Delivery Assistant you will:

• Provide high quality administrative support to the team and service.
• Update and maintain manual and computerised database and case management systems and records in accordance with the service's internal policies/procedures and organisational standards.
• Manage general queries into the service.
• Collate and supply information and correspondence to internal and external contacts in accordance with required deadlines.
• Liaise with referring agencies to improve referral information and the general referral process for victims. May include following up to secure information included in incoming referrals.
• Provide general office administration support which could include photocopying, filing, data entry, ordering of office supplies, processing invoices, raising purchase orders and minute taking at meetings.
• Help to coordinate external communication, management of local social media accounts and preparation of materials to help promote the service.

Job Title: Refuge Worker

Location: Derby
Salary: £12,756.17 per annum
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 

Hours: 18.5 hours per week (days to be discussed) 

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Refuge Worker in Derby.

The post holder will provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our refuges. This includes safety planning and enabling women to access housing, welfare, benefits, and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
