About the role
 
This role will support the housing department deliver the corporate vision and strategic priorities of the council by providing a framework to ensure business improvement and customer focused services. These services must also align with all statutory requirements including those within the Social Housing (Regulation) Act and Building Safety Act 2022.
 
The role will help drive a positive performance culture with a tenant centred approach. The focus on improving service delivery within the housing department will lead to increased satisfaction among tenants and leaseholders. This is an exciting role and will champion the tenants’ voice through the development of tenant influence and embedding of resident scrutiny of service delivery.
 
About you
 
You will hold a professional housing qualification or have relevant experience in the housing sector. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for this role. You must also be confident and have experience in delivering high quality tenancy or customer service-related services to customers along with expert knowledge of the role of the Social Housing Regulator and what it means for the Council. Experience of leading teams through change, having a focus on continuous improvement and effective performance management are highly desirable for this role.

Engagement Officer (Midlands & West)
We are looking for an Engagement Officer to work with members of the UK fire services community in an inhouse, face to face fundraising capacity. This role covers a region reaching from Severn Park in Avonmouth (Bristol), to Staffordshire and across the Midlands and part of Wales.

The successful candidate will ideally be located around the Birmingham area, or within the Mid / West of England, to enable frequent travel across the region to visit stations and training centres regularly.

We are looking for an Engagement Officer who can inspire the Fire and Rescue communities to support Fire Fighters charity and the work it carries out.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community, you'll work collaboratively with our national team of fundraisers and to help secure much-needed income for the Charity.

You will provide talks to new recruits, making them aware of the services the charity provides for them as new service users, and encourage signups to individual giving schemes. You will work with your team to maximise recruitment, re-engagement and retention of individual supporters.

With a flexible approach, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling your visits to stations, managing and maintaining personal data and recording outcomes on our Customer Relations Management (CRM) software. 

You will need to be able to travel across the region, which includes: Severn Park in Avonmouth (Bristol), Staffordshire and across the Midlands and parts of Wales.

This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to join our team. You’ll need excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences, with the ability to deliver PowerPoint Presentations in a confident, and clear manner.

You'll need good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, and work without close supervision. You'll also need to be competent on standard Microsoft packages, have efficient time management skills and a proficient use of social media and apps. 

This role requires you to be able to travel and occasionally stay away overnight. 

A good knowledge of the UK Fire and Rescue Service community is beneficial, and knowledge of legal requirements relating to Fundraising and Data Protection and Information Security principles is required.

About the role

Reporting in to the Church & Supporter Engagement Lead, the Church Engagement & Fundraising Advisor will lead and inspire a team of Church Engagement & Fundraising Officers, ensuring exceptional stewardship and engagement with churches, Christian Aid groups,
and the wider public to support Christian Aid’s values and goals.

The post-holder will oversee the stewardship of existing churches, re-engage lapsed supporters, and acquire new ones while equipping and motivating supporters to give, act, and pray against global poverty and injustice.

• Management of a team of Church Engagement & Fundraising Officers, fostering a collaborative mindset and creating an environment that promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Our Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer will develop, test, learn and grow our fundraising acquisition programme. The role is crucial in implementing our strategy to attract new audiences and donors across a wide range of fundraising products and campaigns from regular giving to virtual challenges.

The Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Officer is responsible for building deeper relationships with some of our most committed supporters. This is an exciting role with opportunities to further develop our expanding Gifts in Wills, in-memory and mid-value programs. It also has oversight of our multi-channel cash appeals program which sets out to generate income from our base of committed supporters.

The role is managed by the Individual Giving and Legacy Manager but will work closely with all of Public Fundraising alongside other key internal stakeholders. The Senior IG and Legacy Officer will also be responsible for fostering relationships with various external agency partners.

The role has line management responsibility for the Public Fundraising Admin Assistant, supporting them to flourish and develop in their role, and ensuring they’re able to fulfil important supporter care tasks for the Public Fundraising Team. Key internal relationships are the Research Team, Services team, the Comms and Marketing team, and the Philanthropy team.

Our five-year strategy sets an ambitious milestone that by 2028, more than 7 in 10 people will be diagnosed at stage 1 or 2. Right now, it's less than 4 in 10. The Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Officer will play a vital role in engaging with new and existing supporters and growing fundraising income to help achieve this goal. The Operations Coordinator will provide vital support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation, providing key operations administrative support to areas including, but not limited to Facilities, Office, IT, Data, Health & Safety and Policies & Procedures.

Key responsibilities:

Facilities and Office Admin

• Act as the main point of contact for the ScreenSkills office as a key liaison with the serviced office team (Techspace), meeting and greeting visitors as a representative of the organisation, managing visitor passes etc.
• Provide general office support in the smooth running of the office operations, acting as a key liaison for all ScreenSkills staff, including the set-up and exit requirements for new-starters and leavers.
• Manage meeting room booking requests, alongside the CEO’s PA, overseeing requirements for internal/external meetings, helping coordinate bookings on ScreenSkills desk booking system.
• Coordinate enquiries to the wider operations team, managing email inboxes and any other reasonable communication duties as requested.
• Act as direct contact for business enquiries - answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls from 3CX (telephone switchboard).

IT and Software

• Ensure all staff have suitable IT equipment and telecoms (as authorised), liaising with our IT providers (TouchTec) as needed, ensuring fixed IT assets are assigned, tracked and reported to finance and the COO proficiently and in a timely manner.
• Ability to provide calm first-line basic technical support, troubleshooting issues with devices, software, hardware, meeting room AV and online platforms. Logging and tracking issues and following-up support tickets diligently.

Data and Compliance

• Coordinating data processing requirements in line with our policies. Assist with managing data as instructed and per our data handling and retention policies.
• Coordinate and track data subject access requests as these arise.

Health & Safety

• Coordinate general Health and Safety documentation within the organisation ensuring fire and general risk assessments are completed in a timely manner, working with HR to coordinate information between the Techspace team and our Fire Marshalls and First Aiders.
• Act as a First Aider and/or Fire Marshal for ScreenSkills staff.
• Arrange annual training for first aiders and fire marshals.

Policies and Procedures

• Monitor the organisation’s policies, ensuring relevant senior managers are aware of the schedule to review/update them.
• Signposting staff to relevant policies and procedures as requested.
• Coordinate and track the organisations’ complaints process.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:

• Proven experience working in a busy office and hybrid work environment, performing first class operations admin (e.g. office admin and or facilities coordinator tasks), supporting a hybrid/distributed workforce.
• Demonstrate experience acting as a key representative of the organisation in a “front-of-house” role, ensuring a professional and courteous communication style at all times.
• Ability to provide calm first line basic technical support, troubleshooting issues with devices, software, hardware, meeting-room AV and online platforms.
• Good working knowledge of all MS Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with digital and remote communication tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and collaboration platforms.

About the Role

As Young People Case Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a Service Manager and an Assistant Area Director, you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

The service consists of two hubs, 1 in Bishop Auckland and 1 in Tow Law and we have an Outreach service to 7 dispersed properties in Bishop Auckland. Your role will span all three areas for job rotation and continuity of service.

The team follow a 5-week shift pattern of 8-hour shifts between 0730 – 2200 hrs including weekends and bank holidays as one service is 24/7 and both sites have dedicated night staff.

Early shifts 0730-1530, Late shifts 1400-2200 and Main shifts 0900-1700/1000-1800 (Depending on hub)

The accommodation services are based in Bishop Auckland and Tow Law in County Durham. You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on. You will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as shared responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service. This includes outreach support to clients in dispersed properties in the area.

The role does involve lone working.

Key responsibilities include:

· Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients, following safeguarding and emergency procedures as needed.

· Act as key worker for a caseload of clients, leading on risk and needs assessments and SMART, outcomes-based support plans.
