We are seeking a Specialist Community Support Worker to join one of our supported living services in Stockport. We aim to provide care and support and promote independence and inclusion within the local community through methods including positive behaviour support.
We aim in to empower the individuals we support to take control of their own lives and gain greater independence, by teaching communication, choice and fulfilment
Location – Stepping Hill area of Stockport.
Working Pattern – 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly over five days. Weekend working will be required.
Salary – £24,700 per annum (£12.67 per hour).
25% pay enhancement for all weekend hours worked.
Sleep-in payment of £100.80 for any sleep shifts worked.
Key Tasks....
- Undertake direct work that is designed to meet the individuals needs as identified within the Person-Centred Plan, enabling them to maximise their full potential. Supporting the individual’s significant relationships and working with families will be a part of this task.
- Develop and maintain a robust awareness of safeguarding and protection issues (POVA), how these fit with positive behaviour support and raise any concerns regarding the individuals with the appropriate people.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of the work undertaken with the individuals and complete written reports for planning meetings. This will be in consultation with the line manager and be undertaken to a standard commensurate with the professional aims of the service.
- Work pro-actively within a team of skilled and professional specialists to ensure that positive behaviour support as a whole approach is implemented into day-to-day support, the culture of the service with individuals who may present challenging and at times socially unacceptable behaviour. This is supported by training and ongoing support.

Role Purpose
- To provide psychosocial assessments and bereavement support interventions to children and young people and/or their significant adults or professionals (as appropriate) who are experiencing moderate levels of psychological distress as a result of a bereavement through the Winston’s Wish On Demand services as required.
- To work with children and young people and/or their significant adults (as appropriate) using a range of supportive methods, approaches and techniques, functioning at level 2 of the NICE psychological framework.
- To provide psychosocial education to children and young people and/or their significant adults (as appropriate) about grief, bereavement and coping skills.
- To carry out comprehensive risk assessments with children and young people, and/or their significant adults (as appropriate), and to liaise with relevant external agencies—including social services, the police, general practitioners, and parents or carers—following the safeguarding policy.
- To conduct referral callbacks on a regular weekly basis, applying clinical judgement to ensure that each child or young person is supported in accessing the most appropriate services for their individual needs at that time.
- To co-facilitate therapeutic group sessions in collaboration with the clinical team, and to deliver one-off psychosocial educational groups as required.
- To accurately record and maintain individual case data within the organisation’s CRM system, in accordance with Winston’s Wish policies and procedures. This includes documenting contact notes, safeguarding concerns, and any information shared with external agencies and parents/carers (as appropriate).

As part of the Social Media Team and wider Digital Marketing department, you will support the day-to-day running of Family Action’s social media activity. Main Responsibilities:
· Content delivery: Support the Social Media Manager by drafting, scheduling, and publishing content across Family Action’s channels, ensuring posts are engaging, accessible, and aligned with organisational priorities.
· Community & performance: Lead community management, monitor trends, gather analytics, and report on performance to help improve engagement.

Tasks
Under the supervision of the Head of Legal Services:
1. Ability to safeguard vulnerable adults
2. Help clients obtain documents required prior to initial interviews including client care letters, interview records, refusal letters and judges determinations
3. Interview clients face to face or by telephone in order to understand why they have been refused and what steps can be taken to challenge this and so access housing and support
4. Write up casenotes as required
5. Draft and finalise letter of advice

About the role
In this role you will be responsible for developing, planning, executing and evaluating projects in our Strategic Change portfolio – ensuring alignment to the wider vision and strategic direction of Macmillan and maintaining a focus on outcomes.

About the Department/Role
Data Services is part of the Central Services of the Church of England, providing statistical information, analysis, research and consultancy. The team works collaboratively with the NCIs, dioceses and parishes collecting and assembling data to support the Church’s missional, pastoral and operational activities through high-quality information and analysis. This is used locally, at parish, diocesan and national levels, involving the Team in a wide range of customer contacts and interfaces
The Data Services Team works to promote data collection that is efficient and effective, producing high-quality services and deliverables geared to a varied range of customer needs. Within the Team, the Data and Analysis unit leads on carrying out data collection and analysis and establishing best practice for research and use of data. It acts as the professional centre of excellence to inform and assist operational and development work within the Team, the NCIs, and the wider Church of England.
What you'll be doing
The purpose of this role is to support the mission of the Church of England by ensuring that high quality data are collected, made available, and appropriately used in decision-making at local, regional, and national level. This analyst role also carries an emphasis on supporting the Church of England to achieve net zero carbon by 2030. 50% of the role will support the Net Zero programme by running the Energy Footprint tool, working with Dioceses and Churches to collect energy data, analysing the resulting dataset and reporting to assist with tracking the important progress of this work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with data received from churches, parishes, dioceses, and cathedrals to ensure best possible quality in terms of consistency, timeliness and accuracy, including undertaking an appropriate share of routine validation and processing.
- Analysing data, and preparing reports for publication of statistics relating to church attendance, parish finances, ministry, cathedrals, parish census and deprivation, and other agreed Business as Usual (BAU) deliverables.
- Overseeing the Energy Footprint Tool, including leading on question design, data analysis, and reporting
- Responding to queries regarding the Energy Footprint Tool from diocesan colleagues
- Producing analysis and reports to aid Net Zero decision making
- Working with key stakeholders to review and improve data collection processes and ensuring these are accurately documented, tested and implemented.
