Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Communications Officer who will coordinate our internal, Network-wide, and external communications. Ensuring excellent communications across the staff team, and the effective promotion of its work.
You will be a highly motivated communications specialist with a proven track record of internal and external communications. You will have excellent planning and prioritisation skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks, along with prior proven experience managing social media channels that results in an impact of campaigns and engagement.
Key Tasks
- To create content and coordinate internal communications across the Network staff team, ensuring the effective development and implementation of appropriate channels
- To develop and maintain a communications content calendar when and how the Network’s activity will be effectively communicated
- To coordinate communications across the wider Network, including PTCs, Regional Hubs, and partners, including through the production and dissemination of a regular digital newsletter
- To develop, post and oversee content for the Network’s social media channels to promote the effectiveness of the Network’s approach and the impact of PTCs and commissioners
- To establish and maintain appropriate media links to ensure that the reality of poverty, and the impact of commissioners in seeking to alleviate it, is effectively shared

You will be a highly motivated person with a proven track record of developing and delivering strategies to influence policy and political stakeholders to achieve change, ideally within a parliamentary or government setting.
Key Tasks
- To develop, with appropriate input from the Director and Partnership Manager, the Network’s approach to engaging with parliamentarians (Politics Alongside) in line with its values and practices
- To ensure that Poverty Truth Commissioners are at the heart of the Network’s parliamentary engagement
- To develop and, where appropriate, establish links with UK and devolved Parliaments and governments to promote the work of the Network
- To coordinate and help to deliver parliamentary events on behalf of the Network, including mapping topics and attendees, working with other partners as appropriate
- To support the development of effective links with Combined Authorities and other devolved administrations
- To work closely with members of the Amplify Team to promote its groups proposals for change
- To support parliamentary engagement, including through written briefings, for the Network’s other national programmes, including Economics for All

This role requires someone with excellent administrative, organisational and financial management skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams with care and precision.
You will work closely with the Clinical Director, Board, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality therapeutic services, manage projects, support fundraising and communications, and ensure our facilities meet the needs of both clinicians and the community. The Centre Manager must be able to work independently and take initiative, whilst also being a collaborative member of a small team. Key Responsibilities are as follows:
Strategic Leadership: Work with the Directors and Advisory Board to support long-term planning and strategic development. Creatively implement systems and structures to maximise service delivery, productivity, and income.
Operations and Facilities Management: Oversee the booking and management of clinic and event rooms, maintain high standards of customer service for building users and visitors, liaise with contractors regarding building maintenance and manage the general upkeep of facilities to maintain a high standard of health and safety. Respond to issues in a timely manner and maintain relationships with building users.
Financial Management: Lead the financial management of the organisation, monitoring project budgets, invoices, licences and debtors. Chair a monthly finance subcommittee meeting and maintain an overview of the entire organisation’s cash flow and projection.
Governance: Act as the main point of contact for the board of directors and advisors. Prepare and attend monthly board meetings.
Programme and Event Delivery: Coordinate internal and public events including lectures, film screenings, and workshops - providing logistical and operational support including ticketing, promotions and managing event staff/volunteers.
Clinical Project Management: Lead operational delivery of funded projects including two subsidised psychotherapy schemes: tracking budgets, collating outcome measures, writing reports, managing timelines and liaising with clinicians and patients. This also includes managing referral pathways, responding to enquiries from patients, sharing referrals with clinicians, and line managing an administrator who supports these tasks.
Outreach Programme Management: Coordinate our multiple outreach programmes such as two Therapeutic Playgroups, one of which is for refugees and asylum seekers. This involves acting as the main point of contact for programme staff, reporting on their activities and progress to the board, and maintaining the operational frameworks necessary to allow the programmes to thrive.
HR: Manage all HR elements of the organisation including but not limited to: advertising and recruiting roles, drafting contracts, keeping an up to date log of internal policies, and handling any staff concerns with discretion and professionalism.
Development and Fundraising: Support grant research, writing, and application processes in collaboration with the Development Coordinator. You will be required to liaise with key funders and maintain records, reports, and track project outcomes.
Communications: Lead on internal and external communications, including newsletters, social media and website content.

Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: Based within the central office in Luton with regular travel required around multiple community based locations
Salary: £24,500

About the role
This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams! The service focuses on providing floating and wraparound support to single applicants who are at risk of homelessness and are able to live independently, by providing a housing support plan towards resolving housing needs and support them into long-term, stable housing.
In this role, you will conduct proactive outreach with our participants to develop personalised support plans for housing for appropriate long-term housing options, including accessing private rental listings and understanding application processes for tenancy. You will help our participants navigate the resources available to them including benefits and support services, advocating for their needs whilst empowering them to take ownership of their housing journey. You will work closely with the Landlord Liaison Officer who bridges the gap between our participants and private landlords. You will work closely with them to achieve prevention and relief outcomes by assisting the participant to remain in their provided accommodation.
You will provide follow up support to ensure tenancy sustainment and successful transitions into permanent housing, keeping casefiles up to date with activities and documents, and escalating any high risks or high needs to the management team.
About you
This role is ideal for someone who has a real passion towards helping to end the cycle of homelessness, providing support to those who need it to live in stable accommodation. You will thrive in a person centred environment with real compassion and a non-judgmental attitude, understanding that people face different life experiences and sometimes just need that extra support to get back on their feet. What the job involves
We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.
We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and fantastic culture. As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you’ll work alongside the Community Fundraising Managers, Executives and Co-ordinators to achieve the exciting growth plans in our new 3 -year fundraising strategy.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on our DIY walking and cycling fundraising activity, which currently raises over £750k each year. You’ll be responsible for providing outstanding relationship management for our fundraisers, ensuring every supporter feels valued, motivated and proud to be part of our community.
Using data and insight, you’ll spot trends, identify new opportunities and help shape fresh, creative ideas to grow income and improve the supporter experience. What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment – ideally within a community or events context. You’ll have a proven track record of delivering brilliant supporter experiences, building genuine relationships and stewarding fundraisers through their events. You’ll understand the importance of meeting supporter needs and how to keep them inspired and connected to the cause.
You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. With knowledge of how to plan, deliver and evaluate marketing activity, including digital campaigns on Meta, you’ll be comfortable finding ways to engage new supporters and keep them motivated.
A forward-thinker and natural problem solver, you won’t be afraid to use your initiative and analytical skills to spot opportunities for improvement and help shape new ideas. You’ll have experience developing, or supporting the development of, annual fundraising plans and budgets, and delivering against these to meet targets.
Clear, motivational communication comes naturally to you, whether it’s writing to supporters, updating colleagues or reporting on results. You’ll also be confident using databases to keep accurate records, analyse data and share insights that help us grow.

About the role
