About the role

The Writer role sits within the Communications Team, which in turn sits within the wider Department of Communications and Fundraising. You’ll work under the guidance of a Creative Content Manager and alongside a Senior Designer & Videographer.

Your role will never be dull as you take on the task of crafting the compelling stories we tell our supporters about the work that they make possible. Whether working on print magazines or digital resources, content for churches or our weekly email newsletter, you’ll play a vital part in the story-gathering and story-telling aspects of our major appeals and communications work.

About you

You will love stories. More importantly, you will have a care and concern for the people who own the stories we have the privilege to tell. As a confident writer, you’ll be interested in messaging and writing for impact. And you’ll understand how to tailor the stories you hear into content that engages your audience, whether that be a magazine subscriber, first-time donor or church volunteer.

You’ll enjoy juggling a variety of tasks in a busy environment and thrive on building relationships both within and outside the organisation. Ideally, you will have experience setting up, conducting and writing up interviews with individuals from international backgrounds and will have played a part in the creation of campaigns or appeals within a charity setting.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer to play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial support across the organisation. • A strong eye for design and storytelling
• Experience in digital content creation, from graphics to short-form video
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or Premiere Pro)
• A solid grasp of social media trends and digital best practice
• The ability to adapt tone and messaging for a range of audiences
• a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar or comparable role

• Lead on the end-to-end delivery of two annual Special Events in the portfolio including the Clay Pigeon Shoot

• To manage guest lists and guest liaison for all Special Events including recording contact details and dietary requirements. Key areas of responsibility: Special Events

• To lead on all aspects of the planning and implementation of two key special events, including chairing committee meetings and working with them to cultivate attendance sourcing sponsorship, liaising with the venue, organising logistics, managing the expenditure budget & achieving income targets, and all other aspects of event delivery and marketing.

• Work directly with the Digital Marketing Manager to design and administer a new system for thanking event participants to promote long-term support and streamlined stewardship journey

• Provide support to all Special Event committee meetings through attendance and ensuring timely actions are followed up.

We are seeking a diligent, highly organised and spiritually grounded individual to take up the newly created role of Media Content Administrator. Sitting within the Projects department, this role exists to serve the Outreach department by managing the collection, processing and organisation of media and narrative content from our global project partners.

You will be the primary custodian of our photo and story library, ensuring all content—photos, videos, audio files, written reports—is received, catalogued and stored appropriately, sensitively and in line with our internal policies. This work is vital in equipping our Outreach team with powerful, story-rich content that inspires awareness, prayer and generosity in support of our mission.

The role is well-suited to a practicing Christian with a heart for global mission, a deep respect for ethical storytelling, and a meticulous approach to organisation and digital asset management.

Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham (CAHF) is a busy, dynamic award winning Service. We deliver a variety of projects via face to face and digital media.

Since 2012 we have delivered a volunteer led community library service at Avonmore library. In April 2024 we embarked on running a second community focused library at Askew Road. To support CAHF community library delivery at both libraries, we introduced the role of Community Library Coordinator.

Purpose of the Role:

In addition to traditional library duties—such as managing stock inventory and delivering storytime sessions for under-5s—the Community Library Coordinator plays a key role in positioning the library as a vibrant hub within the local area. The library offers a diverse programme of activities for users of all ages throughout the week. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the Coordinator will oversee and help develop engaging library events, while also supporting the dedicated volunteers who contribute to the successful delivery of our community-focused services.

About You:

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with enthusiasm for working in the library sector. You should be confident in promoting the library service and delivering excellent customer service to a diverse range of users. While previous library experience is desirable, it is not essential.

Technical Project Executive

As a Technical Project Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality sports facilities by guiding and supporting applicants through the technical aspects of capital grant projects.  A Graduate with a construction-related degree — such as architecture, building surveying, planning, civil engineering, quantity surveying, project management, or construction management — or hold an entry-level construction qualification with at least 12 months’ experience in a construction-related role. 

You’ll have a sound understanding of construction principles, procurement, and project management, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to reviewing designs and technical documentation. 

Strong interpersonal skills are key. You’ll be comfortable working with a range of people — from contractors and clients to volunteers — and able to explain technical matters in plain English. We’re looking for someone who can engage and inspire our applicants. 

You’ll be organised, accurate, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, are essential, along with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to learn. 

A current, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required, as regular travel is part of the role. 

What can we offer you

The salary band for this role is £30,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

You will start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the West Midlands but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.

This is a community-based position working from home but covering Hampshire, Wiltshire and West Sussex, delivering both remote and face to face support. The National Lottery Community Fund is recruiting for two External Affairs Officers, key roles in our External Affairs Team within our newly restructured communications function.

The External Affairs Officer role is part of our ambitious transformation as we implement a significant pivot in our communications approach – building on our support for grant-making to demonstrate the powerful impact communities have in strengthening society and improving lives.

You will help position the Fund as a convening force in civil society, supporting our sectoral and political engagement during a time of exciting change.

Working across the External Affairs team, you will research and analyse policy, political and sectoral developments that affect our work, helping create clear briefings for meetings and events and arranging visits as appropriate. By horizon scanning and monitoring the external landscape, you will help the Fund respond proactively and effectively to emerging issues.

You will build and maintain relationships with parliamentary staff, officials and sector peers. By gathering intelligence, managing and supporting internal and external events, you will contribute to the Fund's engagement with decision-makers and opinion leaders. Your research and analysis will strengthen our policy positions and advocacy work.

Our External Affairs Officers play an important role in supporting the External Affairs team to deliver an effective, insight-driven strategy that articulates the Fund's missions (nationally and regionally) to critical stakeholders across the UK.

Key responsibilities :

• Responsible for providing public affairs, policy and stakeholder engagement support across the External Affairs team, working on the development and delivery of our External Affairs plan, including management and delivery of events.
• Lead the development of briefings and other assets to support the delivery of external affairs work through high quality research and analysis
• Monitor the external political and policy landscape for developments that are relevant to the Fund and advise colleagues on these as appropriate
• Represent the Fund at networking and stakeholder events
• Develop a network of key internal and external contacts in the public affairs and policy space to further the Fund's aims
• Work collaboratively with the other External Affairs Officers to share skills and intelligence
• Cross-collaboration with the Communications Strategy and External Affairs teams to ensure our engagement strategy across the full communications function (media, corporate communications, brand, campaigns and public affairs) is impactful and cohesive
• Support the effective use of the Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM) system

Location: Hybrid working

About the role

The Drive Training Coordinator plays a central role in coordinating the planning and delivery of training activities across The Drive Partnership. The Training Coordinator will provide efficient logistical, administrative, and learner support across all Drive workforce trainings. This includes managing training schedules, resources, communication, and data in support of high-quality training outcomes.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed term until March 2026 with potential for 12-month extension to March 2027 - pending funding confirmation.

Our Purpose: 

Fine Cell Work is a UK- based rehabilitation charity and social enterprise which makes beautiful handmade products in British prisons. For over 25 years we’ve been transforming the lives of people in prison and prison leavers, one stitch at a time. Our unique process boosts our stitcher’s self-worth, instils accountability, and fosters hope.

Collaborating with world-renowned designers to create one-of-a-kind, limited-edition products, we support people in prison and prison leavers to finish their sentences with work skills, money earned and saved, and the self-belief to rebuild meaningful, independent, crime-free lives. By providing purposeful activity to prepare prisoners to successfully reintegrate into the community, we are working to improve prisoner’s skills and well-being. This is key to reducing recidivism. 

The Role: 

The Fundraising & Events Officer will provide administrative assistance with grants and donor fundraising and the logistics for events. Working alongside the Development Manager and the Founding Director you will support identifying and managing donor opportunities, and the research and support of applications to Trusts and Foundations. It is a diverse and varied role and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to build a solid foundation in fundraising and events. 

This is a results-driven role with the postholder driving planned income growth by establishing, enabling, and inspiring events, building relationships and maximising fundraising efforts. As this is a people facing role, you will be working with supporters over the phone, online, in writing and face to face, with the aim of helping donors receive the ultimate supporter journey. 

You will require excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network, build relationships and influence both internally and externally, with the confidence to speak publicly about the work of the charity. To be successful in this role, you should possess exceptional organisational skills, excellent communication abilities – including good writing skills, and a passion for making a difference. In addition, experience with fundraising, donor stewardship, event planning and organisation and CRM systems will be highly valued. 

Your work will be essential in generating the income needed to support our initiatives, grow our donor base, and provide vital services to support our mission of rehabilitation.

Fine Cell Work’s office in Battersea is run by a team of 15 staff (FTE) supported by 191 volunteers, 116 of whom teach in prisons (volunteer figures for 2024). 

Fundraising and earned income are fundamental requirements for FCW, and all staff are involved in fundraising and earned revenue activities. 

Principal Accountabilities for the Core Job: 

1. Ensure all the necessary administration to support fundraising including recording all donations and potential contact information on Salesforce, thanking and reporting to all event attendees and donors. 
2. Assistance in the planning, setting up and logistics of all events including attending events as required (includes occasional out of office and out of hours commitments). 
3. Establish and maintain donor contacts on the database, and, with the Development Manager, coordinate donor communication and planning. 
4. Prepare donation quarterly reports and report post event on financial and potential contact outcomes and lessons learnt. 
5. Build and support our individual giving Champions programme through events and regular communications. 
6. Work with the Founding Director in research to support grant applications and assistance in making applications to small grant–making organisations. 
7. Prepare information for reports to Trusts and Foundations and major donors, creating a fundraising dashboard to include uploading and managing reporting and grant deadline dates on Salesforce including the establishment of a reporting procedure for existing grants makers. 
8. Working with the Development Manager, ensure there is sufficient and appropriate fundraising events to meet the annual donations targets through events. 
9. With the Executive Director and the Development Manager, support the logistics for event committees including assisting in identifying potential Chairs and committee members and working with the event hosts. 
10. Support the Development Manager to expand FCW’s fundraised revenue through developing event sponsorship opportunities and other forms of event revenue (ticket sales, raffles etc). 
11. Supported by the Finance Director, set up and manage the annual budget for expenditure and income from events. 
12. Any other duties as required from time to time to support the work of the charity. 

The following knowledge and skills have been identified for the role of Fundraising & Events Officer: 

• Excellent spoken and written English, including good grammar 

• Proven experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel 

• Experience maintaining a data base, preferably Salesforce 

• Excellent attention to detail and record keeping 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills 

• Demonstrable organisation, research and planning skills 

• Good level of fitness to assist with setting up events 

• Social media and blogging experience 

• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Photoshop 

• Experience of working with volunteers

Location: Battersea, London 

This is a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role, and is primarily office-based. 

Salary: up to £30,000
