As the Head of Public Giving, you'll manage three direct reports and lead a wider team of eleven. This is a key leadership role, responsible not only for income generation but for shaping the supporter experience across a range of touchpoints, ensuring the long-term sustainability of public giving programmes.
You'll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams-including Head of Personal Giving, Marketing & Communications, Quality & Data, and the wider Fundraising directorate-to ensure the successful implementation of the new fundraising strategy and continued alignment with Keech's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the Public Giving operational plan in line with the overall fundraising strategy to achieve sustainable income growth.

- Create and implement integrated supporter journeys and acquisition strategies using digital tools, automation and data insights to maximise donor lifetime value.

Requirements:
- Significant experience in a similar fundraising leadership role, with a proven record in mass market or public fundraising, including community and events.
- Experience leading high-performing teams, driving income growth and supporter engagement through insight-driven strategies.
- Excellent knowledge of digital fundraising, CRM optimisation and marketing automation, with strong data analysis and budget management skills.
- A strategic thinker and hands-on leader, capable of managing complex projects, motivating teams and engaging a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

About you
As our Senior Campaigns & Public Affairs Manager, we’d like you to have an in-depth understanding of the ways in which UK public policies are formed and reformed, of the challenges associated with delivering policy in the real world and of how civil society organisations like JRF can successfully influence policy change.
You will have an understanding of the structural nature of poverty and how policy may alleviate structural harms and substantial experience of working at progressively senior levels at the intersection of policy development, politics and strategic communications/ campaigns.
You’ll have substantial experience of working in multidisciplinary teams using a range of insider and outsider tactics and compelling examples of developing and implementing influencing strategies that have demonstrably affected the climate of opinion around an issue and ideally, achieved concrete change.
With a proven track record of successfully building relationships with decision makers and influencing their thinking, you’ll have clear examples of writing effectively for a wide range of audiences and of commissioning, understanding and using public attitudinal insights to inform your influencing strategies and/or narrative development.

About the organisation
The organisation is a small, thriving national charity supporting people in rural areas to set up and run successful businesses in community ownership. They do this to achieve their UK-wide vision for resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities. The charity is based in Oxfordshire with around 25 staff and a turnover of around £1.2 million annually.
Community-owned businesses are owned and controlled by community members and range from village shops, pubs and cafes, through to woodlands, fisheries and farms. The charity has been promoting the community ownership model for over 100 years because of its track record for delivering better businesses for people, communities, the economy, and the environment.
The charity is in a sound financial position with strong reserves. The focus moving forward is to diversify income streams away from the traditional model of grants, trusts and foundations to increased self-generated income from projects, corporate sponsorship and placemaking initiatives with housing organisations.
The new Head of Finance will be joining the organisation at an exciting time as they progress on this journey.
About the role
Reporting to the COO and managing 1 Finance Officer, The Head of Finance is the lead staff member for all matters relating to the Finance Team and is responsible for all areas of its strategic management and day-to-day operations. The Head of Finance makes up part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Typical finance duties include the development and implementation of finance strategies and policies, the production of financial reports and management accounts, leading on the budgeting & forecasting process, leading on the production of the annual statutory accounts, and supporting the Finance Officer with all elements of transactional finance such as reconciliations & VAT.
The Head of Finance will also take an active role on the Senior Leadership Team including contributing to business plans, networking with partner organisations and contributing to the continued strategy to diversify the charity’s income.
The charity uses Xero accounting software and has a December financial year-end. There is a current interim Head of Finance in post, and a handover with this person is likely.
The role would suit an experienced charity sector Head of Finance, seeking to work on a part-time basis. The role will be offered on a 3 day per week basis, and is a fully office based role, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to consider 2 days in the office with 1 day working from home, however the preference is for 3 days onsite.
The salary offered is £60,000 - £66,000 per annum FTE (pro-rata) and benefits include flexible working, an employee benefits programme, training opportunities, 6% employer pension contribution and a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time staff).
Requirements
• Qualified or near qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent
• A strong understanding of UK charity accounting including fund accounting and SORP
• Prior experience managing the finances of a small to medium sized charity, and management of a finance team

Inspired by the work of Florence Nightingale, The Foundation is a voice for the nursing and midwifery profession, enabling nurses and midwives, in the UK and internationally, to develop and extend their knowledge and skills to meet the changing needs of patient, health, and care today and the future.
The Florence Nightingale Foundation's focus is on improving health, clinical outcomes and patient experience, through building nursing and midwifery leadership capacity and capability. They also work to convene and support nurses and midwives to shape the health and care policy agenda, and create a future where nursing and midwifery perspectives are valued and policies are informed by the professions' evidence, expertise and needs.
Salary: £56,704 per annum
Location: Hybrid working with 2-days per week in their London office (SE1)
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Pension scheme employer contributions of between 7.5% and 10%
- A Team FNF development programme including an allowance of ½ a day per month for personal/professional development.
About The Role
The Florence Nightingale Foundation is looking for an ambitious Head of Fundraising to shape and drive its income generation strategy, build on existing relationships, and explore new avenues for growth. Whether you're stepping into your first leadership role or bringing years of experience, you'll have the freedom to innovate with potential to grow new income streams for the Charity.
As this is a new role, they want to be guided by an experienced individual, who can take ownership of their strategy, and communicate their own vision and plans for fundraising clearly, effectively, and with genuine passion for their work, and help move the Florence Nightingale Foundation into a new era of income generation, growth, and greater impact.

The role:
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Chief Executive to lead the charity through the next exciting chapter by managing the delivery of our Strategic plan.
Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham is a very challenging area, yet is dynamic with a high national profile, You would be expected to play a major significant role within local community groups enhancing the area.
Key Responsibilities:
With the Board of Trustees, review the strategic plan and be accountable for delivering the
strategic plan, financial probity and securing the funds required to deliver the services.
Provide relevant and timely intelligence to the Board to ensure it maintains an overview of the Organisation and can make appropriate strategy, policy, and financial decisions.
Lead the team to ensure the Organisation achieves its objectives and delivers high quality, accessible and fully integrated advice services within the aims and values, mindful always of the specific needs of vulnerable and excluded groups.
Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion in line with our values and ensure our clients' needs are at the heart of all we do.
Represent the charity to our various partners, stakeholders, funders, and the media, developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships.
Ensure that the charity fulfils all legal, statutory, regulatory, and quality responsibilities.
Key Experience & Knowledge:
• An understanding of the voluntary and community sector (VCS),
• An understanding of the complex nature of the current funding environment, With a track record of successful income generation, through fundraising, funding bids and marketing activities
• Substantial leadership and management experience at a senior level in a Charity
• Track record of delivering key targets and managing change.
• Experience of managing people and the work of multi-disciplinary teams .
• Experience of developing and managing complex budgets
• Experience of commissioning, and managing contracts and project management.

They are now seeking a senior interim to lead a bold transformation of their funding and operating strategy. This is not your typical finance leadership role—this is a pivotal role aimed at shifting multiple organisations towards a more future-proofed funding model.
Reporting into the group division key deliverable will include:
- Partner closely with CEOs, trustees, and senior leadership teams to provide strategic financial guidance across the charities.
- Lead the re-design of funding models, incorporating income diversification and longer-term sustainability planning.
- Build strong relationships with trustees, funders, and partners, delivering financial insight that enables strategic decision-making.
- Review the current operating model to ensure it is best placed for the new business plan.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant experience operating at board level in the Charity sector. You will be a strategic thinker with a track record of financial and transformation, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of how finance can be a catalyst for business change. Prior experience of charity governance would be highly advantageous.
