Key Responsibilities:
Government & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with MPs, government departments, special advisers, and other stakeholders.
- Promote the association’s work and sector influence at national and local government levels.
- Lead lobbying efforts on behalf of members, addressing both opportunities and policy threats.
- Represent the association at events including APPGs, conferences, workshops, and private meetings.
- Deliver flagship events such as the Annual Parliamentary Reception and party conference activities.
- Oversee the work of the external Public Affairs Consultancy.
Policy Communications & Campaigns
- Collaborate with policy colleagues to craft clear, consistent messaging across transport and related policy areas.
- Produce engaging materials including briefings, videos, podcasts, infographics, and consultation responses.
- Support internal reporting and updates to members via quarterly presentations and newsletters.
- Coordinate member-led Campaigns Working Group and contribute to a UK-wide campaign programme in Summer 2025.
About You:
- Proven public affairs experience, ideally within a political party, Civil Service, Parliament, consultancy, or membership body.
- Strong understanding of UK political and policy processes, with experience in sectors like transport, energy, or business.
- Confident in navigating complex issues and translating them into compelling narratives.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to influence a range of audiences.
- Skilled in campaign planning, stakeholder mapping, and policy research.
- Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities independently.

As part of Keech Hospice's bold new fundraising strategy, we are seeking a dynamic leader to transform the way personal giving contributes to long-term income growth. This pivotal new role offers the opportunity to lead and expand a multi-channel, insight and data-led approach to personal giving - including legacies, in-memory giving, lottery, regular giving, payroll giving, and appeals. Your mission will be to build deep, long-lasting relationships with individual supporters, driving growth in income and supporter lifetime value.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Supporter Engagement, you will lead a passionate and skilled team of six, including three direct reports (Managers of High Net-Worth Individuals, Individual Giving, and Legacy and In Memory). Together, your team will deliver and grow a budget of £2.4 million+, with a goal of increasing personal giving income by 40% over the next three years.
As Head of Personal Giving, you will work closely with the Head of Public Giving to ensure an integrated supporter experience across all channels, creating seamless journeys through innovative use of insight, digital channels and automation to deepen donor engagement, improve retention and enhance supporter experience across all giving levels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an integrated strategy for personal giving that drives acquisition, retention and long-term income growth

In this pivotal role, you are responsible for ensuring not only the efficient and effective operation of the organisation, but also the quality of public engagement and the achievement of CSC’s annual direct revenue targets. You help steer and coordinate all of CSC’s workstreams, translating the organisation’s vision into action that is grounded, sustainable, and scalable. Working Conditions
The primary locations for this role will be Cambridge Science Centre's Head Office at 44 Clifton Road, Cambridge, CB1 7ED (assigned desk or workspace) and the Cambridge Science Centre at Trinity Centre, Cambridge Science Park, CB4 0FN (hotdesking model).
In addition, there will be travel (primarily driving with a company or hire vehicle) to the semi-permanent centre (Inspire Wisbech Centre, Wisbech, PE13 1AR) and, on occasion a variety of locations across the East of England.
We offer the option of flexible hybrid working where and when possible.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Supporter Engagement, the Head of Partnership Giving will lead a passionate and talented team of five, as well as taking a proactive role in nurturing existing relationships while proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
This role will be responsible for leading the team to generate £1.5m annually and as part of our newly launched Fundraising strategy, will focus on growing High Value partnership income to £2.2 million annually over the next three years. The organisation is a small, thriving national charity supporting people in rural areas to set up and run successful businesses in community ownership. They do this to achieve their UK-wide vision for resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities. The charity is based in Oxfordshire with around 25 staff and a turnover of around £1.2 million annually.
Community-owned businesses are owned and controlled by community members and range from village shops, pubs and cafes, through to woodlands, fisheries and farms. The charity has been promoting the community ownership model for over 100 years because of its track record for delivering better businesses for people, communities, the economy, and the environment.
The charity is in a sound financial position with strong reserves. The focus moving forward is to diversify income streams away from the traditional model of grants, trusts and foundations to increased self-generated income from projects, corporate sponsorship and placemaking initiatives with housing organisations.

About the role
Reporting to the COO and managing 1 Finance Officer, The Head of Finance is the lead staff member for all matters relating to the Finance Team and is responsible for all areas of its strategic management and day-to-day operations. The Head of Finance makes up part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Typical finance duties include the development and implementation of finance strategies and policies, the production of financial reports and management accounts, leading on the budgeting & forecasting process, leading on the production of the annual statutory accounts, and supporting the Finance Officer with all elements of transactional finance such as reconciliations & VAT.
The Head of Finance will also take an active role on the Senior Leadership Team including contributing to business plans, networking with partner organisations and contributing to the continued strategy to diversify the charity’s income.
The charity uses Xero accounting software and has a December financial year-end. There is a current interim Head of Finance in post, and a handover with this person is likely.
The role would suit an experienced charity sector Head of Finance, seeking to work on a part-time basis. The role will be offered on a 3 day per week basis, and is a fully office based role, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to consider 2 days in the office with 1 day working from home, however the preference is for 3 days onsite.
The salary offered is £60,000 - £66,000 per annum FTE (pro-rata) and benefits include flexible working, an employee benefits programme, training opportunities, 6% employer pension contribution and a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time staff).
