My role is Finance Assistant working in a busy team. Duties will include:
- Ensure all payments are allocated to customers' accounts and posted onto systems accurately and promptly; investigate and correct anomalies.
- Ensure queries and adjustments to accounts are dealt with promptly and within agreed timescales.
- Liaise with customers to facilitate prompt payment and accurate posting of monies received.
- Provide information to internal and external auditors as required.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant legislation, procedures and best practice for the Accounts Receivable function.
- Maintain accurate data, managing large complex data sets in Excel and in-house systems.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need:
- Prior experience working in a Finance team in a large complex business.
- Good understanding of the principles of double-entry bookkeeping and the implications of accounting entries in general.
- Ability to resolve complex payments issues through data analysis and proven problem-solving techniques.
- Good understanding of month-end routines for preparation of reporting and reconciliations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role 

The Head of Rough Sleeping Services will lead our services in our centre based at 12 Adelaide Street. The core purpose of these services is to minimise the harm associated with rough sleeping and support people into treatment and accommodation options. This will include Centre Services, our Community, Street Engagement and case work teams. You will also lead the delivery of any short-term emergency accommodation including SWEP and hotel provision.    

This opportunity comes at a particularly exciting time as the Connection looks to ambitiously develop our work at Adeliade Street into a hub of harm reduction and health inclusion for people rough sleeping in Westminster. As the Head of Rough Sleeping Services, you will lead the exciting strategic and operational work to deliver this, and have the chance to be part of a centre that aims to be a nationally recognised example of innovative practice.   

The role requires someone with a strong track record in service delivery with people who have complex needs. They must have experience of trauma informed care and similar associated practice.  Alongside ensuring high quality service delivery, they must have experience of developing new approaches, building relationships with statutory services and working with fundraising specialists to secure resources. The Head of Rough Sleeping Services will be a well organised and focused manager who uses coaching techniques to develop their team. Finally, they must be a positive role model with the personal credibility to build confidence in the charity both internally and externally.

Bright Futures UK supports children and young people aged 5 to 24 whose education has been disrupted due to serious long-term physical or mental health conditions. We offer online one-to-one tutoring, befriending, and mentoring programmes, as well as group programmes including hospital workshops, industry events, and advocacy actions initiatives. Working in close partnership with hospitals, families, and other services, we ensure that children and young people experiencing health-related challenges are not left behind.

Role Overview

This is a key role in the delivery of our online personalised programme. The Senior Coordinator will oversee the children and young people referral pathway, acting as the first point of contact for new referrals and guiding children, young people, and their families, educators, or hospital contacts through every stage of the onboarding process.

You will be responsible for gathering detailed and sensitive information about each young person’s health, education, and wellbeing, to ensure the support they receive is tailored, appropriate, and trauma-informed. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records is a central part of this role. You will also line manage the Personalised Programme Coordinators, work closely with the wider Programme and Volunteer Teams, and play a key role in external outreach and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Referral and Programme Oversight

• Act as the lead contact for all incoming referrals, including those from hospitals, statutory services, community organisations, and families
• Hold safe, compassionate, and confidential conversations with CYPs to understand their needs and gather relevant information around education, physical health, and mental wellbeing
• Ensure all referral documentation, risk assessments, consent forms, and safeguarding procedures are completed to a high standard and in line with organisational policy
• Maintain strong working relationships with referral partners, providing updates and sharing appropriate feedback
• Oversee the matching of referred CYP to suitable volunteers in collaboration with the Volunteer Senior Coordinator
• Monitor programme delivery through regular check-ins with Personalised Programme Coordinators to provide support and identify emerging risks or additional needs
• Liaise with internal colleagues to escalate safeguarding concerns and ensure support plans remain up to date

Person Specification

Essential:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development.

About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications (M&C) Manager to cover the responsibilities of our current M&C Manager whilst they are on parental leave. You will be collaborating with almost every department across PMC to ensure our activities effectively reach and engage our target audiences. Our client is looking for a passionate and driven person to champion species and habitats with particular focus on new building developments / demolitions occurring in Cumbernauld, specifically the Town Centre, Community Growth Areas and their partners Sanctuary Scotland. Building on the success of previous projects, this project continues to realise the Cumbernauld Living Landscape long-term vision to improve Cumbernauld’s green spaces for both people and wildlife, helping everyone in the community connect with the nature on their doorstep. 

The candidate:  

The successful candidate will be educated to at least degree level in one of the following: conservation, ecology or related discipline - or equivalent with a minimum of three years previous experience in working in a nature policy environment, ideally in Scotland. 

Main Objectives 

The main objectives of the role are: 

• Delivery of NNC Advocacy Strategy, created during the Development Phase, championing green infra-structure and nature-positivity, with regards to reactive works for the Community Growth Areas (CGA) and proactive for the Town Centre development 

• Building on the existing work of the Trust, create relationships with the Local Planning Authority Planners; developers and businesses. 

• Develop detailed positions to enable the NNC partnership to contribute to and influence the implementation of Green Infrastructure to urban design and construct. 

• Gather evidence and develop a detailed proposal to improve biodiversity, including provision for bats, swift and sparrows, in developments, as well as retaining and enhancing well connected greenspaces, and prioritising native planting regimes to support wildlife across Cumbernauld. 

• Utilise current evidence from Wild Ways Well evaluations to demonstrate the positive links between increased biodiversity and improved health and wellbeing, helping to reinforce the need for good quality Green Infrastructure from a social perspective. 

• Represent the Trust and Cumbernauld Living Landscape. 

• Help keep the NNC team and partners up to date with significant developments in land management policy or legislation which significantly impact on species and habitats. 

• Facilitate the sharing of research and learning between key stakeholders internally/externally and help identify opportunities for aligning policy and conservation work. 

Wider project work 

• Support the team’s wider communications plan. 

• Support project team with events and other project-wide opportunities. 

• Contribute to project reporting, including Monitoring & Evaluation findings across the life of the project. 

• Knowledge sharing with the wider Trust, including recommendations to find centralised funding to potentially expand and continue the role.

The Role 
 
Reporting to the Retail Development Manager, the Retail Development Officer will support with the continued growth and development of our retail network.

The role holder will actively support the Retail Development Manager to build, deliver, and implement a pipeline of new sites development in retail, including shops, cafes and superstores, Yorkshire Cancer Research Centres, and other retail related projects. 

You will have responsibility of supporting the Retail Development Manager with market analysis and feasibility studies of potential new sites, contributing to the development of business cases, projects plans and delivery of these plans as well as contributing to compliance and ongoing maintenance and required improvements within the retail real estate. There will also be an opportunity for the role holder to inform future decision making through the delivery of business insight, KPI data and other metric reports relating to income. 

Specifically, you will: 

New Developments in Retail 

• Support the Retail Development Manager in exploring and identifying the best locations for new shop openings, including market analysis, feasibility study, site visits, and site presentation. 

• Assist in developing business cases for each new shop, ensuring they are financially viable and key decisions are documented. 

• Support the development of project plans for shop openings, closures, and refits by ensuring suppliers, tradespeople and internal stakeholders are engaged and informed of key dates. 

• Maintain and nurture relationships with appointed property agents to develop a pipeline of potential new shops. 

• Support where possible the recruitment process for new shop managers and volunteers and ensure this is complete in time for each new shop opening. 

• Work alongside the Retail Development Manager to identify new suppliers, ensuring they are suitable, competent, and aligned to our values. 

• Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure new shops are in good condition and compliance documents are in place before being handed over to operate under business-as-usual activities. 

• Work collaboratively with the Retail Area Manager, with regards to monitoring compliance with retail policies and procedures, as well as Health & Safety standards. 

• Act as a visible leader in relation to all health and safety responsibilities, taking reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others. Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, processes and procedures. 

• Assist as a contact for leasing and tenancy negotiations and discussions with relevant internal and external stakeholders. 

• Support the Retail Development Manager in developing and testing new income streams, processes, and systems before moving to business-as-usual activities. 

• Undertake regular shop visits/shop floor inspections, directing and supporting the team to deliver creative and inspiring layouts, space planning and use of point of sale to ensure that each shop maximises its sales potential, and that the visual presentation of the shops represents the brand image of Yorkshire Cancer Research. 

Retail Estate Development  

• Support the Retail Development Manager, Retail Area Manager, Director of Retail & Operations, and Shop Managers in regularly reviewing our current retail estate, identifying maintenance and other improvements required. 

• Assist in developing business cases for each project, ensuring they are financially viable and key decisions are documented. 

• Support development of project plans for refurbishments and improvements by ensuring suppliers, tradespeople and internal stakeholders are engaged and informed of key dates. 

Other duties: 

• Support the development and execution of the ten-year Retail business strategy. 

• Deliver key business insight to drive improvements through analysis. 

• Provide regular KPI and metric reports on income to inform future decision making and planning. 

About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be ideally educated to A Level or equivalent or able to demonstrate experience in a similar role at a similar level.

• To ideally hold a  Project Management Qualification : IE APM, PRINCE2
