• Strong track record in major donor and/or trust fundraising, particularly in arts or cultural settings
• At least 5 years in a senior fundraising management role, with direct team management and performance oversight
• Strong strategic thinking, budget management, and project planning capabilities
• Persuasive, diplomatic communicator with the ability to build and manage high-level relationships

We are working in partnership with a Richard House Children’s Hospice to secure their new Corporate Fundraiser. Richard House helps children and their families in East London to lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. From the moment a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting, life-threatening or complex health condition everything changes. These changes affect the whole family, which is why Richard House feel it is vital not only to provide care to the child but to support the whole family. The Corporate Fundraiser will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects and partners, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. The role will be hands on, focused on operational fundraising that delivers crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable corporate income for Richard House.

About the role

In this role you'll be a vital member of a highly talented, customer focused and enthusiastic helpdesk team who act as the first point-of-contact for end users.

A service desk expert you'll take pride in resolving almost all issues as they arise. Quick to learn, enthusiastic and self-motivated, you’ll ensure that our central knowledge base is always updated so other team members can learn from your successes and overall performance is maintained and improved.

With a high percentage of customers supporting our work in Retail, you’ll participate in a weekend cover rota, allowing service to our shops and stores to be delivered. Working hours needed to deliver these services are 35 hours/week – staggered in accordance with the support rota.

Working arrangements

This is a fixed term contract covering an internal secondment.

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office. 
 
At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, approximately three days a week. Working hours needed to deliver these services are 35 hours per week covering a rota schedule (the team cover 8am to 6pm every day).
 
The role will also participate in a weekend cover rota allowing service to our shops and stores to be delivered. This will be in the region of 1 weekend in 4-6.
 
About you

With previous service desk experience, having working in the SD environment previously, you'll have excellent customer service and communication skills, being used to working in a busy service desk team. You'll also have excellent telephone and customer handling skills to back up your technical and fault diagnosis experience. 

You’ll have strong troubleshooting skills, keeping the Customer informed of progress against their respective issues, ensuring an effective follow-up to ensure all service has been delivered and completed to the Customer's satisfaction.

With good knowledge of Windows OS (Win 10 and above), you’ll also have knowledge of LAN/WAN networking essentials and extensive experience of MS Office suite of Applications (2010 and above). You’ll have previous experience with administration of Users within Active Directory and Remote Support Tools (i.e. VNC, RDP etc.).

You'll have good knowledge of ticket and case management techniques, able to manage your own queues and workload to meet demand. You’ll be able to remain calm and focused, and will have strong organisational skills, able to use prioritisation and escalation techniques, and able to develop strong working relationships with the team and contacts across the organisation.

Am y rôl

Fel Uwch Reolwr Polisi ac Ymchwil, Byddwch yn arwain y gwaith o ddatblygu strategaethau polisi sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth a gwleidyddiaeth yng Nghymru, gan ddefnyddio ymchwil, data a phrofiad bywyd plant a theuluoedd. Mae hyn yn cynnwys rheoli prosiectau ymchwil, cydweithio ar draws timau, a chynhyrchu briffiau pwerus ac offer eiriolaeth sy'n dylanwadu ar y rhai sy'n gwneud penderfyniadau.

Mae'r rôl hon yn gofyn am rywun sydd â dealltwriaeth ddofn o dirwedd polisi Cymru, meddylfryd strategol a dadansoddol, ac ymagwedd sy'n cael ei gyrru gan werthoedd i ganoli profiadau plant — yn enwedig y rhai sydd wedi'u hymyleiddio fwyaf gan systemau a strwythurau.

Yn y rôl hon, byddwch yn:

• Arwain ar ddatblygu polisi strategol: Datblygu atebion polisi gwleidyddol graff sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth i fynd i'r afael â thlodi plant yng Nghymru, gan ganolbwyntio ar gyfiawnder cymdeithasol a thegwch.

• Arwain prosiectau ymchwil: Dylunio, comisiynu a rheoli ymchwil sy'n llywio polisi, yn cynnwys profiadau bywyd, ac yn adlewyrchu hawliau plant.

• Defnyddio craffter gwleidyddol: Monitro tirwedd wleidyddol Cymru a gweithio gyda chydweithwyr materion cyhoeddus i nodi cyfleoedd dylanwadu, gan sicrhau bod ein gwaith ymchwil a pholisi wedi'i amseru'n dda ac yn effeithiol.

• Integreiddio tystiolaeth i strategaethau newid: Gweithio'n agos gyda thimau eiriolaeth, y cyfryngau, ymgyrchoedd a phartneriaethau i sicrhau bod ymchwil a pholisi yn llywio dylanwad ehangach Achub y Plant.

• Cyfathrebu gydag effaith: Cynhyrchu adroddiadau cymhellol, briffiau polisi, ymatebion i'r ymgynghoriad a deunyddiau eiriolaeth sy'n atseinio gyda llunwyr polisi a rhanddeiliaid.

• Cydweithio'n effeithiol: Meithrin perthnasoedd mewnol ac allanol cryf ag ymchwilwyr, penderfynwyr a phartneriaid ar draws sectorau

• Cynnal dull gweithredu hawliau plant: Sicrhau bod lleisiau, profiadau a hawliau plant a theuluoedd yn ganolog i'r holl waith - yn enwedig y rhai sydd fwyaf ymylol.

• Hyrwyddo amrywiaeth, tegwch a chynhwysiant (DEI): Ymgorffori arferion cynhwysol ym mhob agwedd ar ymchwil, polisi, a chydweithio.

I fod yn llwyddiannus, mae'n bwysig bod gennych chi:

• Gallu profedig i ddatblygu polisi strategol sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth mewn meysydd cymhleth fel tlodi neu gyfiawnder cymdeithasol.

• Dealltwriaeth ddofn o dirwedd polisi Cymru a sut i nodi a gweithredu ar gyfleoedd dylanwadu.

• Sgiliau meddwl dadansoddol cryf a'r gallu i weithio gyda ffynonellau tystiolaeth amrywiol.

• Arddull gweithio gydweithredol, gyda'r gallu i arwain neu gyfrannu at fentrau traws-swyddogaethol.

• Sgiliau rheoli prosiect rhagorol a'r gallu i reoli nifer o flaenoriaethau a ffrydiau gwaith.

• Sgiliau cyfathrebu ysgrifenedig a llafar eithriadol, gan gynnwys y gallu i grynhoi gwybodaeth gymhleth i ddeunyddiau hygyrch.

• Ymrwymiad i weledigaeth, cenhadaeth a gwerthoedd Achub y Plant.

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building. 

Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
